Strategy game designs live or die by the balance of the game and of course, the fun factor. Remember the Zergling attacks in Starcraft that frustrated so many players trying to ward them off? They finally reduced the number of Zerglings from 3 to 2 after months of complaints. The Codex Team continues our quest to balance the game and get more feedback on the game from the public before we do a full release of the game in Q1 next year. We have two ways to get involved with the beta of Infinium Strike:
1. We have released a Free Open Beta on Steam. Simply download the Infinium Strike Demo and you will receive the Open Beta. It includes 4 campaign missions and full interactive tutorials on how to play the game. Storytelling, multiple difficulty levels, and the deep space arcade mode are not included.
2. We have opened up the Full Beta Access to anybody from our Infinium Strike Store. For $25, you get immediate access to the full game on Steam and when the game is released, the beta will automatically be updated to a full version.
Feel free to post feedback to the forums or directly to me at dexterc@codexworlds.com
Thanks for your ongoing support.

[10-19-15] Developer Update
Hello. It is time for an Infinium Strike update.
We are still deep into beta. We've done several rounds of beta testing and game updates (that we update to Steam). Codex Worlds takes feedback seriously and we have decided to take a few more months to improve the product and include a more feature filled product when we release. In short, we are pushing the release date back to Q1 2016. We will be taking that time to further refine the product, including more beta feedback, as well as adding additional features like localized languages, more controller options, and much more music.
So, when we release, Mac and Linux users can expect to get, fingers crossed, a simultaneous release and we expect to get several language versions as well including Russian, German, and Spanish.
All current Steam games will continue to be updated as we get closer to release.
Keep the beta comments coming to our forums at http://community.codexworlds.com/
Thanks for your patience.

Introductions and Beta!
Hi Everybody.
I hope you enjoy our original take on the tower defense genre. We've added cinematic 3D and arcade style action to traditional lane TD management.
My name is Dexter Chow, the creative director of Infinium Strike. I am a strategy game fanatic and have been producing strategy games for over 10 years at SSI, Mattel and Ubisoft. Infiinium Strike represents two years of hard work from a team comprised of both veterans and brand new indies. We hope you enjoy the demo. If you want to get involved in helping with the beta or just want to help us out by getting an early discount on the game...read on.
We are currently live on Kickstarter where at the $25 tier or higher, all pledges get enrolled into our beta program. We are starting our closed beta testing next week on 8/10/15. You will have access to the latest build to help us with design, balance, and even design entirely new missions! Of course, participation is optional, but you will be briefed on all the contributions and updates we receive through community participation.

Infinium Strike Demo™ receives a major update with Kickstarter underway
AUSTIN, TX – July 22, 2015 – Independent game studio Codex Worlds™ announced a major update to the playable demo for Infinium Strike™, available on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/384670. The update brings a new level with an extended tutorial and more advanced gameplay, as well as various improvements based on player feedback. The Kickstarter campaign https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/codexworlds/infinium-strike for the 3D space tower defense game has surpassed 10 percent of its goal with more than 7 weeks remaining. Infinium Strike™ http://www.infiniumstrike.com puts players in charge of weapon systems aboard Freedom Strike—the largest, most heavily armed ship in human history—as they defend against hordes of sentient alien ships, called the Wrog.
About the update, Creative Director Dexter Chow says, “Demo version 2.0 represents another major milestone for our company. We responded to the first wave of feedback on our product in a timely fashion. We added a whole new level with voice overs, greatly improved the camera and interface, and did a full graphic tutorial treatment for the new advanced level in less than a week!”
The Infinium Strike Demo Update (v2.0) includes:
- Added another demo level for advanced players including an advanced tutorial.
- Fixed a few camera control bugs.
- Added a more directed camera that is easier to use.
- Improved the interface by making the turret pads easier to find for new players.
- Tweaked the difficulty level of the basic demo.
- Turned on quick turret selection to allow easy turret placement, upgrades, and salvage.
After two years of game development, Infinium Strike has achieved beta. With additional funds from Kickstarter, Codex Worlds will further polish gameplay, add content, and implement valuable feedback received from the player community. Backers who support the project at a level of $25 or more will receive immediate access to the beta. Any backer who signs up for email project updates on http://www.codexworlds.com will also receive a special DLC (The Free Bubba Missions) after release with an estimated retail value of $4.99.
Infinium Strike is a fully 3D game that combines classic tower defense with popular lane management play in an arcade-style experience. The hostile, enigmatic Wrog are attacking humanity’s outer colonies. Players deploy a variety of weapons on the maiden voyage of Freedom Strike, the first Ares-Class Battlecarrier and the largest ship ever built. Build a variety of towers, send out various fleet ships, or even use special TSF SuperTech abilities to decimate waves of enemy ships.
Infinium Strike is planned for release in fall 2015 on PC, Mac, and Linux, and has been green-lit by Steam, Valve Corporation’s digital distribution platform.
Game features include:
- Futuristic starship tower defense with arcade-style gameplay
- Immersive, free-roaming gameplay camera
- Full story campaign with four levels of difficulty
- High score, endless arcade mode
- Wide variety of tactics using towers, ships, and special technologies
- Ranking system from a green Captain to a seasoned Galactic Admiral
