INFLUXIS - What's next?

Hi everyone.

I want to begin by saying a massive thank you to everyone that has supported the game and continues to do so, it is much appreciated.

I am currently working on INFLUXIS version 0.2, which will be a complete rework of the game. I believe this to be the best long-term solution to fixing the numerous issues the Beta has, such as the poor performance, saving issues and bugs.

INFLUXIS version 0.2 is planned to take around a year and a half to two years of development. I appreciate this can be a long period of time to wait, and I will do my best to speed the process if possible. In the meantime, I post regular progress updates and chat to interested players on our discord server which can be accessed here:

INFLUXIS Beta 0.1 released

Hi everyone,

I am happy to announce that Beta 0.1 has been released a week earlier, today. This is still an early version release meaning it might be subject to bugs and optimization problems. Feedback is always much appreciated. I am planning to release additional updates to address all the new bugs and issues mentioned by the players over the upcoming days.

INFLUXIS Beta 0.1 Release

Hello everyone,

First, I wanted to thank everyone who has been continuously supporting the game so far, be it by directly helping in its development, making videos, testing it or being active on discord, it really means a lot. Over the past year and a half I have been working on a full rework of the game, and I am excited to announce that INFLUXIS Beta 0.1 will be releasing on January 27th, or shortly after if any delays occur. Here is the list of what to expect from the new update.

World:
- 25 new biomes
- 60 new creatures
- Improved water system
- Improved atmosphere and custom weather system

Gameplay:
- New character model and animations
- New inventory and crafting system
- New building system
- New scan and blueprint system
- New UI system
- New creature AI
- New, controllable EVE droid
- New tools and upgradable equipment
- New vehicles

Others:
- New story and cinematics
- New sound system
- Multiple slots save system
- Improved graphic settings and custom controls

A big thank you to everyone who has supported the game, especially through this long period of silent development, and I hope you enjoy the update :).

INFLUXIS – 0.96 – Improvement Update:

Hi everyone,

With the Easter holidays approaching, development on the game will restart, this time, on a smaller update, which should be out on the 16th of April. Without further ado, this is what the 0.96 update will include:
- World optimization – will do my best to improve game optimization.
- Bug fixes: no more game breaking bugs and random deaths.
- Audio System overhaul: heavy work will be put into developing the audio system, from numerous creature sfx, to biome soundtracks and spatial and Ambiental sounds systems.
- If enough time, some other features might be implemented as well.

INFLUXIS – Going into Beta

Hi everyone,

I want to thank all of you guys who played the game thus far, made videos and joined the discord, it really helps a lot. With the release of the 0.92 Update, the game is fast approaching the end of Alpha, and the beginning of Beta. So, what will this mean for the future of the game?
Well, the next update is probably going to be out sometime in June and will be the last Alpha update. Every update after it will be Beta. For the next updates, I will try to focus again quite a bit on gameplay features, making the game more fun and interesting to play.

My Ocean Home - Christmas Update

Hi everyone,

With the winter holidays approaching, I couldn’t imagine letting them pass without a small gift, a big new update. With one month left to go till its release, expect amazing gameplay features, new biomes, and a completely new story amongst many others. So, without further ado, here is what the Ocean is my home - Christmas Update will include:

Gameplay Features:
- Basic Base Construction – by far the hardest thing to implement, I will do my best to integrate such a system into the game. While not a given in such a short amount of time, there are high chances it will be implemented. The player should be able to construct a modular base, and place objects and furniture inside.
- New character model and new improved animations.
- New blueprints and crafting recipes.
- Vehicles and Oxygen Plant rework.

World Features:
- Day and Night Cycle – after such a long wait, the game should finally have a day and night cycle, making the world feel way more alive.
- Weather system – alongside the day and night cycle, a weather system should also be implemented, making the world feel even more dynamic.
- New Biomes – 5 new biomes to be implemented – The Scarlet Zone, which will replace the Magent Glade and contain – the Scarlet Jungle, the Ruby Caves and the Crimson Beach. The other two biomes will be the Sun Reef Grottos and Sun Bamboo Caverns. There will also be improvements to the Sun Reef and Sun Bamboo Forest.
- New improved water system and caustics.
- Music and SFX improvement.

Story Features:
- New Storyline, with new voice actors and character models
- New opening Cinematic.
- New Ship model, with multiple rooms, as well as new Outposts to explore throughout the map.
- Data Pads to collect all over the map, giving extra information to the player regarding past events.

Other Features:
- UI Improvements.
- New Tyler model.
- Fixing of most bugs reported during the latest testing phase.

While all of these features are not guaranteed to be implemented in this update, I will do my best to implement them all in this short amount of time. And with that, I wish you all some happy Christmas holidays and hope you will like the Update 😊.

INFLUXIS – ROADMAP and what the future awaits

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed the last couple of updates. While I didn’t manage to release all the content I wanted for the summer, more awaits for sure. I wanted to write this announcement to first of all thank everyone who has played the game up to this point and gave any feedback, as it really helps. I’ve managed to build a small but nice community around the game through the game’s discord server which has really helped the development of the game and proved to be a really nice place to chat about many topics and have a good time.

With all of that being said, here is what is to be expected to come from the game in 2021 and 2022. As most of you know, this game is a passion project of mine I’m working on by myself during my free time. While I really enjoy working on it, because the game has such a large scope, I am finding it harder and harder to develop it as with each update its complexity increases and I end up spending enormous amounts of time working on even the smallest features (some of you might have noticed this trend with the last summer updates where I had to postpone over and over the release of the updates). Also, as I get through college and advance in my career I have less and less free time which is also less than ideal for the development of the game.

I am saying this in order to let you guys know, that while development of the game is by no means stopped, the frequency of updates will greatly be reduced in the future, with the next update being expected in January of 2022 with a bit of luck. I also say this to stress how important support of the game is for me, seeing more and more people actually playing the game and giving feedback on it is what motivates me to release new updates, so if you want to help the development of the game, by far the best thing you could do right now is share it, share it with friends, on the internet, make youtube videos, post on reddit, twitch even twitter – any bit of exposure helps infinitely, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support offered till now.

Finally, here is the roadmap of the game for the year 2022:
- Alpha 0.92 – Base Building and Crafting Improvement Update – Expected for either January 2022 or April 2022
- Alpha 0.99 – Story Update and Huge Game Overhaul – Expected for July 2022
- Beta 0.22 – Blood and Ice Update – expected for September 2022

Beta release will be a very big thing, as by that point most of the final mechanics of the game will be implemented and the game might be for the first time cool and fun to play – I will also most probably price the game once it will be in Beta, as I will consider it worth a price by that point.

While development of the game is slowing down, I AM STILL working on it and planning to FINISH IT, sometime, with time, in the future 😊.
