Going forward, we will give our full and undivided attention to providing Inside Explorer to museums, schools, and science centers - as public engagement and science communication remain at the core of our business.

You can continue to use Inside Explorer and DLCs as before.

Inside Explorer: Mummy with figurines DLC
So for the upcoming winter sale, what could be better then a real Egyptian mummy? This time we are visiting the Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt, also known as the Nubian dynasty. In this DLC you will be able to explore a real mummy from the Nubian dynasty buried with a lot of amulets and learn more about the burial practices of this period.

Inside Explorer’s collaboration with Field Museum offers an outstanding immersive way for the public to access unique specimens from the Field’s collections. The Field’s mummies, meteorites, and insects preserved in amber will be released as downloadable content.

Inside Explorer: Insects in amber DLC
Amber, fossilized tree resin, can preserve the anatomy of a trapped insect down to the tiny hairs on the legs of a fly. Now with new powerful x-rays, scientists can see more than ever. This DLC contains detailed 3D x-ray scans of three pieces of amber from the Field Museum in Chicago. These unique pieces of amber contains three different insects. Now you can explore the same data as the scientists studying the anatomy and evolution of ancient insects.

Inside Explorer’s collaboration with Field Museum offers an outstanding immersive way for the public to access the specimens from the Field’s collections. The Field’s mummies, meteorites, and insects preserved in amber will be released throughout the year as downloadable content.

Inside Explorer: The Gilded Lady DLC
Inside Explorer: The Gilded Lady offers an epic exploration of a real ancient mummy that dates from 30 BC-AD 395, a period when Egypt was a province of the roman empire. This DLC contains detailed CT scans of one of the most well-preserved mummies from The Field museum’s collection. And it is just a few clicks away. 3D X-ray allow researchers to examine the inside of mummies, revealing details about the person’s age, appearance, and health. Now You can do that too!

Inside Explorer’s collaboration with Field Museum offers an outstanding immersive way for the public to access the specimens from the Field’s collections. The Field’s mummies, meteorites, and insects preserved in amber will be released throughout the summer as downloadable content, with the Gilded Lady being the first one out.

Inside Explorer: The Gilded Lady, is released on Friday 26th of June.
