Greetings from Intern Pursuit, Inc. (dba Employers 4 Change), and from Cat 5 Studios.
We are pleased to announce the end of Early Access!

*Fixed several errors on higher difficulties; it should now be possible to bet all levels on every difficulty.
*Rebalanced number/size of waves in most levels, especially on higher difficulties.
*Rebalanced stats of most enemies.
*Finalized UI improvements for all upgrade screens.

Achievements are coming very soon.

Update V0.7

Greetings from Intern Pursuit, Inc. (d/b/a Employers 4 Change), and from Cat 5 Studios.
We are pleased to bring you another update. In this update we are adding the final two levels and
finishing some main functions. *Note: we accidentally released the notes before the update, sorry for any inconvenience*

Current Update:

- Two new levels: Fight some alien ‘miners’ on Jupiter on an island in the sky. Then travel to
frozen Pluto for the final confrontation in the Galactic Alien Alliance’s Headquarters. Will you be
able to bring the story to a triumphant end?
- Collectable Awesomo robots! We have heard that there is now a hidden Awesomo robot in each
level. Try to collect them all.
- Various balance changes; this is an ongoing process.
- Many bug fixes as we continue to implement all the core functions. We’re closing in on having
the last few implemented, at which time we will go back and polish interfaces. One major bug
prevented the end cutscene on Titan from playing for any character except Breezy; this has been
resolved, so now any character can complete Titan.

Next Update:

- We are giving the game a final polish to bring it out of early access. Our next update (1.0) should
be the full release.
- We will finish work on UI improvements for our upgrade screens.
- We will fix any remaining bugs, and finish all balancing and playtesting.
- We are working on achievements.

We are pleased to bring you another update. In this update we are adding the final two levels and
finishing some main functions.

Current Update:

balance.

was effecting the last cut scene on Titan only being triggered by the Breezy character, this has
been resolved.

We are pleased to bring you another update. In this update, we have made some major progress again,
adding two more levels and finishing some main functions.

Current Update:


  • Two new levels! Deal with a dispute between two warring factions in Mercury, and think of a
    clever solution to a problem in Uranus.


  • Collectable posters! Look for a hidden poster in each level. Each post you find will be displayed
    somewhere in the office.


  • We have done a lot of balancing and playtesting, and we will continue to improve game balance.


  • Many bug fixes as we continue to implement all the core functions. We’re closing in on having
    the last few implemented, at which time we will go back and polish interfaces.


Coming Next:


  • We are finishing the last two levels, Jupiter and Pluto, and the conclusion of the story.


  • We will start work on UI improvements for our upgrade screens.

Update V0.5

Greetings from Intern Pursuit, Inc. (d/b/a Employers 4 Change), and from Cat 5 Studios.

We are pleased to bring you another update quick on the heels of our moon launch. In this update, we have made some major progress again, adding a level and finishing some main functions, as well as adding most of the controller support.

PLEASE NOTE: Save files from previous versions are not compatible with this version. Please start a new game. The save system has been finalized, so this will hopefully be the final update which requires you to start a new file.

Current Update:


  • NEW LEVEL: Titan, one of Saturn’s moons. Explore a vast alien junkyard while fighting robots.
  • SUPERSKILLS: Passive abilities which can be upgraded using Talents dropped by enemies to make your character stronger.


  • DIFFICULTY LEVELS: Beating levels of lower difficulties will let you replay them on higher difficulties! On higher difficulty levels, enemies will spawn in greater number and follow different paths. Some difficulty levels let you explore areas you couldn’t access before.


  • EXPANDED CONTROLLER SUPPORT: almost all menus and gameplay can be done using a controller. The tower building menu and upgrade menu don’t have controller support yet, but we’re planning to add it in the next update.


  • Many bug fixes as we continue to implement all the core functions. Almost all core functionalities are implemented.


For the future:


  • The next update will be a double feature – two new worlds, Uranus and Mercury!


  • Hidden collectables – find postcards to save in your scrapbook and look for your robot pal Awesomo in hidden places.


  • Graphical improvements for the upgrade interface.


  • Complete controller support for all menus.


  • We have finished writing the story, so we will continue to implement it as we release levels.

Update V0.4

Greetings from Cat5Studios!

We are pleased to bring you this update; we’ve been working hard on it this year, and there’s a lot of new content waiting for you.

(Note: Use the New Game option as the old save games will cause you issues; we do not like to reset your progress, but we are adding major systems that require it. We hope to have the save file in its complete state after the next update, so you won’t have to keep resetting your progress.)

Current Update:


  • NEW LEVEL: The Moon! Defend the moon base from enemies on four sides, with the help of your fellow interns. The plot thickens…


  • We have added controller support. This is mostly complete for game play, but there are a few screens that are still needing controller support.


  • We have implemented our inventory system; as you play the story, you will receive items for completing levels successfully. While this system is fully functional, we are working on balance. Enemies on higher difficulties drop more items. This is complete, but we are working on the UI; it is functional but will look better later. The inventory is tied to your save file, and its contents can be accessed by all four characters.


  • You can unlock new upgrades for your towers! Defeat enemies to gather tower parts, then spend them in the office on higher upgrade tiers. Tower upgrades are shared by all characters, so if you unlock an upgrade on one character it’s usable by all of them.


  • You can upgrade your superpowers to make them even stronger! Defeat enemies to gain a new currency called Talents, then use them in the office to strengthen your powers. Each character’s upgrades are separate, but Talents are shared between all characters. Our long-term goal is to unlock certain abilities on certain planets, some active skills, some passive, as the player progresses through the game. In early access we feel this is too limiting, because many of the levels have not been implemented yet, which means some skills couldn’t be used at all. The skill system, though not complete, is functional; the UI will be improved when we complete the other passive skills.


  • There are many balance, bug fixes, and data fixes behind the scenes, which combined with the added item, skill, and upgrade functions requires a new game to function properly, which is why we strongly recommend starting a new game for this update. Also note that the next update at least will require a new game. Our current goal is to finalize the save file so that you won’t have to start a new game for every update. We will make every effort to do this; however, this is early access, and unforeseen issues might require it again.



For the future:


  • We have made good progress on Titan. All the art assets are done; we just have to implement the story and enemy placement. Titan will be in our next update, which is planned to be released in January.


  • We are working on the passive skills for the skill system. Our goal is to finish this for the next update, but it might be pushed back.


  • We are working on game difficulty unlocking based on difficulty completed. Our goal is to finish this for the next update, but it might be pushed back.


  • We have most of the art done for Mercury, Uranus, and Jupiter. We have concept done for Pluto.


  • We still have some enemy character modeling to do, specifically for Mercury, Uranus and Jupiter.


  • We have completed story development, just waiting on the levels to be completed to add it to each level.


  • Improved UI for the inventory and tower/power upgrade systems.


  • Balancing tower/power upgrade costs.
