Any day now Iron Grip: Warlord’s latest expansion, Scorched Earth, will go live on Steam. Of course we will have a big promotion event, and plan to give away several keys for the complete pack including both the original game and the expansion in the coming days!

What’s all this about a Warlord T-shirt?


When the Expansion comes out, those who play the Deathmatch Mode will be ranked in an online Hall of Fame, where there will also be a countdown timer. Every time the countdown reaches zero, the player on top of the leaderboard will get a free Deathmatch Champion T-shirt!

Summer Camp achievement

We are thrilled to announce the release of the long awaited patch 1.13 for Iron Grip: Warlord.
The new patch contains several new features which enhance Iron Grip: Warlord’s gameplay. Consequently, patch 1.13 offers players many more hours of gaming fun!

New features
Responding to player feedback, several of the game’s characteristics have been expanded.

The most important change is the addition of an entirely new level, known as the Bunker map.
Secondly, the game now has full compatibility with Steam and has integrated Steamworks voice chat, leaderboard and achievements!

Steam Summer Sale
In celebration of the Iron Grip: Warlord patch release, the game will take part in Steam’s Summer Sale starting on the 30th of June.
During the two-week promotion, single copies and the four pack deal will be available at a 50% discount!

And since you had to wait a long time for this patch, here is a reminder of what Iron Grip: Warlord is all about:
Released in 2005, Iron Grip: Warlord was ISOTX’s first commercial game.
Drawing from a bold combination of FPS and RTS, the gameplay revolves around an advanced tower defense where players must repel a large army from their territory at all costs.
Apart from the single player modes, gamers can enjoy multiplayer co-op battles, which can host up to 8 players at the time!

- Added support for 16:9 resolutions 1920x1080 and 1600x900
- Added system resolution adaptation. also, the menu now only offers resolutions supported by the system
- Integrated steamworks voicechat

- Fixed: in some cases the kick vote used the wrong client id
- Fixed: UI panels now treat the return and enter keys as equal citizens
- Fixed: building cancellation/destruction gave funds to the destructor instead of the owner
- Fixed: Windows 7 caused problems with the homepath, it's now %APPDATA%\IGWarlord
- Fixed: weird mouse behavior in menus

Iron Grip: Warlord is part of the Indie Clever Pack!
Iron Grip: Warlord is part of the Indie Clever pack on Steam today--VVVVVV, World of Goo, Eufloria, Doc Clock, and Iron Grip: Warlord are bundled together for only $4.99. Of course, if you're in this community, you probably already have the game... but that doesn't mean you can't help! Feel free to hit the servers and show your support to all new players we should be getting this weekend.

Also, because I know I will be asked, there is an update coming soon to Steam. It will be Steam only (sorry owners of the other versions of the game!) and it will include achievements for the first time. :)

New Steam Patch Live!
We have released a small new Steam patch last week that hopefully fixes any DRM issues anyone has been having--this seemed especially to be a problem with Windows 7 users, but now is fixed. Players will now be able to install the game on multiple rigs through Steam without 'breaking' their game as would happen before. We apologize that this took some time to fix, but we had to figure out what the problem was and work with Steam who generously gave us a lot of their time to create a new version.


We also released a smaller and separate version of the IG: Warlord demo, so players will no longer encounter the issue where there is a demo and a full version installed but if you uninstall one, the other uninstalls as well.

As usual, if you encounter any problems, please head on over to the Steam forums or email support@isotx.com for a quick resolution.

One more thing, a new and very big patch is coming up still. I personally wrote some achievements today, and let me tell you, they're going to be devilish. Our new map has been tested quite a bit at the studios recently, so it's just a matter of getting these Steamwork features in before releasing it. We should have a release date soon.
