Iron Harvest Summer Sale: 67% off

Get 67% off Iron Harvest in Steam's Summer Sale that will run until July 7th 19:00 CEST.

We recently released for all you A.I. loving comp stompers, which by our metrics is the majority of you, a new world map campaign mode to explore, strategize and vanquish upon. This mode offers a lot of replayability with over 40 new missions.

The first campaign map we've released is called “Divided Continents” and you'll have a variety of starting sceanrios as well as custom setup options. We'll be adding new world maps over the summer.

The race to claim territory is on right from the beginning, you’ll see your foes movements and will have to respond immediately during your preparation phase. Once complete each army in opposing territory will take part in the combat phase. You can fight battles manually and determine your deployment, or gain victory based on your army strength and battle conditions using the auto-fight function.

Earn coins as you claim territory and spend them on reinforcing your regions, expanding your armies and upgrading your forces.

Along the way to victory you will discover special quests, reap rewards and unlock new armies. Each territory confronts you with its own challenge and you’ll discover the advantages of certain army compositions. Each of the 4 factions capital introduces a new map and defeating it will remove that faction from the game.

Win victory points through battle and claimed territory. Once you’ve claimed enough for victory on the campaign you can carry on to dominate the continent entirely. Coloring in with your faction color as you see fit. The fewer turns you complete victory in, the higher your overall campaign score.

Here are some key features of the game:

DevBlog 45: World Map Update & Fixes

Greetings Harvesters,

Time to show you what we’ve been relentlessly working on the past few months. We are very excited to unleash this monster of a free update. So update, verify game files and let’s jump right in.

News: New World Map Campaign Mode

For all you A.I. loving comp stompers, which by our metrics is the majority of you, we have created a new world map campaign mode for you to explore, strategize and vanquish on. This mode offers a lot of replayability with over 40 new missions.

The first campaign map we’re releasing is called “Divided Continents” and you can choose your starting scenario:

The underdog – Starting with only three regions you must outmaneuver larger warring factions, seizing opportunities and grow to dominate the continents.

Second chance – With your allies separated on different side of the world map you must push back against the powerful factions surrounding you.

Besieged – Surrounded, your once great empire fights to unite remote enclaves and divided those factions that have arisen against you.

Custom – Play your way, select which faction begins where, their starting strength, difficulty and victory goals.

As you’ll see, we also have two other world maps in the works which we plan to release later this summer.

Let the strategizing begin in macro and good luck commanders.

It’s a big one and important so sadly it was unavoidable that saved games will be invalidated by it. Also our Backers should really update their address, this will be your last chance to do so. News: New 2vs2 Map “Launch Facility”!

Hidden in the tundra of Northern-Alaska lies a convert testing and launch site for a new weapon with devastating capabilities. With the site hastily evacuated due to incursions by Usonian forces, its terrible technology now awaits those brave enough to persevere against their enemies and the freezing cold.

News: Backer Rewards Status Update

Info: Changelog 25

General changes:

Balance changes:

Mech cost rebalance: Mech and exoskeleton build costs have been adjusted to lower the barrier of building tier 2 mechs. On top of the cost changes, we increased the overall strength and toughness of tier 2 mechs. In doing so, tier 2 mechs will now be more accessible than before and clearly stronger than the tier 1 mechs.

All Exoskeletons: These man/machine units can now be reinforced at medic tents.

Mortar systems:

Anti-air turret: The current anti-air turret is rather expensive and very powerful. To bring it more in line with our vision we are reducing both the cost, damage, and HP. This should make building the structure more accessible while maintaining counterplay possibilities.

Sandbags:

Reserve costs: All units that have had their build cost changed have also had their reserve costs appropriately adjusted.

Ward (exosuit):

Salem (MG mech): Salem’s Overcharge ability should be powerful, but a less frequent threat on the battlefield. Additionally, the Overcharge damage against structures has been greatly reduced.

Revere (Missile airship):

Attucks (Stealth artillery):

Knox (Mech destroyer):

Stark (Melee mech):

Samson (Drone carrier):

Michal Sikorski (cavalry commander):

Rycerz (exosuit):

Straznik (MG mech):

Smialy (Scout mech):

Mocny (Siege tank):

Zolw (Troop transport):

Lowca (Mech Hunter):

Tur (Mega Mech):

Eisenhans (Exosuit):

Grimbart (Gatling Mech):

Isegrim (Tank Mech):

Erlkonig (Artillery Mech):

Stiefmutter (Gyro wheels Mech):

Wotan (Mech Hunter):

Kaiser (Mega Mech):

Groza (Exosuits):

Ognivo (Flamer Mech):

Kolokol (Bomber Mech):

Nakovalnya (Rocket Artillery):

Serp (Scythe Mech): The Serp is an intimidating mech that packs a punch in melee. The changes to MG damage we made to turn the Serp into a real threat while approaching a target.

Gulay-Gorod (Mega Mech):

News: Live Patch 25

Or 25th live patch will go live 1.9.21 (September 1st 2021) on Steam, GoG and Epic Store. The patch for the Microsoft Store Xbox Game Pass for PC will arrive with a small delay for technical reasons. Here are some of the highlights:

  • New Map “Nigh Raid”, see below.
  • New “Skip Mission” button that enables you to skip a mission after defeat.
  • You can now build Anti-Air turrets.
  • We adjusted the “easy” and “normal” difficulties. Since our AI improvements, some missions are harder than intended. With these adjustments, Enemy Units will have lower HP and much lesser DPS on easy and only lesser DPS on Medium (HP stays untouched).

Changelog: See below.

News: New Map “Night Raid”

The fighting has dragged on for weeks, with rain-steeped trenches and craters where once fields and forest were. A night strike has been ordered by high command in the hopes of catching the enemy by surprise and breaking the stalemate once and for all.

New: Kickstarter Reward Update

As more and more parts of the world go back to a somewhat normal situation, we finally can finish the last Kickstarter rewards and get them to Germany for packing and shipping.
We can’t wait to show you the great artbook and the weapon’s manual – they turned out great. What we can show you already is the production of the signed art prints from this week! The creator of the World of 1920+ - Jakub Różalski himself - signed every high quality art print.

News: PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Release Date

Balancing Changes

Smokescreens
There were some technical imperfections with smokescreens which we have fixed and we have adjusted some of the smokescreen behaviour. In general, smokescreen ranges have become smaller, and the duration became shorter. Additionally, Mocny's and Isegrim's smokescreens are now static and thus do not move with the unit anymore.

Polania
Michal Sikorski: Michal’s ability to chase and kill retreating infantry was impacted by last patch’s change that prevents retreating units from tumbling. Michal's was already on the weaker side, and this change made him even weaker. We have increased his health to give more time to chase, kill and retreat before being caught in the crossfire.

  • Increased Michael’s health and that of his cavalry soldiers from a total of 690 to 820.
  • Increased Michael’s range in which he independently attacks targets in melee from 2 to 3 meters.

Mocny:  Mocny feels underpowered compared to other artillery mechs. We increased the damage and reloaded cooldown of the deployed Mocny to give it more opportunities to make a difference on the battlefield.

  • Reduced reload cooldown when Mocny is deployed from 19 to 10 seconds.
  • Increased damage while deployed against medium from 75 to 90.
  • Increased damage while deployed against heavy from 65 to 90.

Saxony

Eisenhans:  We want to bring Eisenhans closer to the player expectation without steering away too far from his role in the unit roster. We have increased his capabilities to deal damage by increasing the chance of his projectiles hitting moving targets, and by increasing their damage.

  • Increased projectile speed from 6 to 2 seconds.
  • Increased damage on unarmored from 30 to 60.
  • Increased damage on light/medium from 40 to 60.

Prince:
Increased Prince’s repairspeed

Rusviet

Olga:  Veterancy damage scaling was not properly applied to Olga's detonator, which was fixed in this patch. Her detonator now deals less damage when she is not a veteran, and more when she is veteran level 3 or 4. Her veterancy thresholds have been reduced slightly to accommodate for the change in detonator damage.

  • Reduced Olga detonator damage against unarmored from 150 to 120.
  • Reduced Olga detonator damage against light and medium from 250 to 210.
  • Reduced Olga detonator damage against heavy from 200 to 170.
  • Reduced Olga detonator damage against structures from 150 to 125.
  • Reduced Olga veteran threshold from 1500 to 1300.
  • Reduced Olga elite threshold from 4000 to 3500.

Usonia

We want to observe the state of the faction over a longer period and thus there are no Usonia specific changes this patch. Next patch might include balance changes for the faction.

Common

Gunship:  The gunship has a similar role to Wotan and Nagan but used to cost only 2 reserve coins, we have increased that to 3. Additionally, we have reduced the anti-air capabilities of the Gunship to increase the number of effective ways to counter it.

  • Reduced anti-air MG damage
On unarmoured from 10 to 3.
On light from 4.5 to 3.
On medium from 3.5 to 2.5.
On heavy from 3 to 2.
On structure from 0.1 to 0.5.
  • Increased reserve coin cost from 2 to 3.
  • Reduced splashradius for Gunship anti-ground weapon.

DevBlog 40: Anti-Air Turret Tease and fixes

Ground Forces Rally As We Tease Anti-Air Turrets, More Console Progress And Make Balance changes and Fixes!

Welcome to July’s DevBlog, which is accompanied by a free update to the game. Apologies for the technical hitches that prevented us from releasing this last week.

Read on for all the details, knowledge is power commanders.

Info: Anti-Air Turrets Tease

We’ve seen your feedback since releasing Operation Eagle. Thank you for it, and based on it we are happy to reveal that buildable Anti-Air Turrets are with with the next patch

However, you gameplay reasons, Anti-Air Turrets will be a base defense and so only buildable in the HQ zone. All factions can build them using engineers and they will serve as a building to protect HQs from air-based units if the players fear aerial assaults. Players will have to making the decision to invest precious resources into the, but our thoughts on balancing them will likely head in the direction that they are relative cheap, and that building two or more can be viable depending on how the game is progressing.

News: Backers Artbook Tease!

Looks great! We're making progress, but still waiting for all goodies to arrive at HQ before we can then package them up into the backers bespoke editions and send them out to you. We’re very grateful to our backers, not only for their support in getting the game made, but for waiting with us on the physical goodies. Hang tight!

If you haven’t seen them yet, we have photos of the metal figurine, medals and battle-bag here.

We’ll let you know the moment there’s more worthwhile news, so keep your postal address up-to-date here.

Info: Changelog 23

General Changes:

Balance Changes:

Common faction units

Skybike:

Gunship: The combination of aircraft movement and high damage output made the Gunship just too good of a pick in a lot of situations. We are tuning down the damage a bit to give the other dedicated anti-mech mechs more situations to shine.

Airlift:

Anna and Wojtek: Their strength and versatility gives them the edge over other early-game heroes and most groups of infantry available when they enter with Reserve 1. Tuning Wojtek down a bit reduces the overall power while maintaining Anna’s strength as a sniper.

Zolw (troop-transport mech):

Ognivo (flamethrower mech): Where Ognivo shines the most is when the veteran ability is unlocked. Reaching veterancy is a bit too difficult, therefore we decreased the amount of XP necessary to reach it.

Barracks and workshop: The longer build and upgrade times for Rusviet sets them a bit too far apart from the other factions in matches where it comes down to every second and every single bar of iron.

Salem (MG mech): Due to its high accessibility and high damage output in the early game, Salem is able to reach Veterancy too quickly, creating even more of an advantage. We delay the time Salem hits the battlefield and the veterancy upgrade to give enemy infantry a bit more breathing room.

Captain William Mason:

Admiral George Mason: The combination of George’s distinct attributes make him a difficult to counter. We are reducing his stats across the board to give players more room to come up with answers to him while keeping an eye on the fact this unit cannot be revived once killed.

Undecided? Wanna get a mate involved? Next Monday Brings a 75% sale!

Info: New Publisher

“O.K. so this past year was a challenge for everyone, but we released Iron Harvest together with DeepSilver and thanks to their support, we’ve been able to develop dozens of patches, new maps and even a big addon for you.

And you – the community – are just as incredible as you’ve always been since the Kickstarter days, and it has been a great privilege to meet so many of you on the events all over the world. Having no Gamescom, PAX or other events this year is another gut punch.

We long for the day we can meet you guys and gals at a gaming event, but the future is still bright. The same team that has worked on Iron Harvest on the publisher side has been added to “Prime Matter”, a newly created premium publishing label, with Iron Harvest as one of its legacy games.

While the team remains the same, it’s exciting to start something new and grow in a different direction. We’re working hard on the console versions, to finally get the Kickstarter physical assets to Germany to ship it to you and we can't wait to show you more, all under the new black and red (Rusviet?) flag of Prime Matter!” - Julian Strzoda (Iron Harvest Producer)
