Today we are issuing a quick patch to fix a couple of things.
1) Fix for Tempo affecting RTS Mouse Swings in Tour Pro Mode
2) Fix for 3 Second rule not affecting RTS Mouse Swings
3) Fix for not being able to navigate to Chat Window with controller in pre game
4) Fix for chat text enter in pre game triggering the round to start
This patch also updates Linux to latest version.

The New Animation System

All new Player Character Customisation Configurator under Player Settings Clothing. No longer are shirt colors tied to teams, now you can customise your golfer the way you want him to look.
Animation will now conform to the terrain unless of course the shot is impossible to conform to..
All sounds, effects and ball launch are now timed to the key animation frame in the swing meaning there should be no out of sync on these elements
All new 3W, 5W, 7W and Hybrid clubs to go with the Driver, Long Iron, Medium Iron and Wedge
The new animation system necessitated some changes to our camera system which we have made. While the goal was to get it back to the way it was we made a few minor improvements along the way too
The New Equipment Customisation System
All new equipment configurator under Player Settings Clubs now provides for customisation of the clubs including new club sets as they are released, new shafts and new grips. Each club grouping can be customised individually. the club groupings are Driver, Woods, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges and Putter
We will be releasing different shafts and clubs in the future some of which will be vanity and some of which will have different characteristics.
Before we introduce the next component of this let us reiterate that you will not be able to nor will we charge our players costs to be able to buy skill levels. Having said that not everyone plays golf with forged blades nor do they all use graphite shafts. So we will be introducing new shaft, and equipement that will have different characteristics. We all know that forged clubs give you more control but are harder to hit and have a smaller sweet spot. The large headed drivers give you a little more forgiveness off the tee but might not be as long and so on. So our equipement will allow you to set up your players to play the game you want to play. For every element that is a gain there will be a corresponding loss, but you will be able to trade things like distance for accuracy, change loft on your clubs and change the spin chacteristics. It will be a while before new clubs and shafts are available as we will have to test them thoroughly first to make sure one club or shaft does not provide an inadequate weighting to the game.
The New Real Time Swings
Real Time Mouse Swing and Real Time Mouse Swing Horizontal. Once in the game you will see a new UI replacing the Swing Meter. This allows you to select your clubs and shot shape. Once happy with your shot right click on the mouse (Once you start to move the mouse the swing button will go red indicating the timer has started and then move your mouse like in Motion Swing before. Judge your distance based on how far the club moves back on the backswing. Controls work just like Vertical Motion and include the same Tempo driven swing. To overswing with the RTS Mouse swing keep pulling the mouse as you reach the top.
Real Time Controller Swing... Select in the device and then press A to trigger the swing, the swing icon will go red. Use the Stick to move the club back and forth and push forward quickly to initiate a swing. To overswing in RTS Controller you need to keep the button pulled back. You will feel a tension as the club slowly moves further at the top and generates overswing.
Both of these new swing types have help screens available in the help section of the UI (see below new feature)
Other New Features
We are pleased to announce a whole range of new features in the game with this release:
All New Free Camera - We have added a new Free Camera Mode. It is now a 3 way toggle.
Press F5 once (left trigger+dpad down on controller) and you enter Free Camera Mode and can fly around just as before.
Press F5 a second time and you are now frozen in place and can take your swing from here. If you choose to do so then you will forgo your regular camera and get the spectator camera instead.
Press F5 a third time and you are returned to your original position behind the player based on your default camera selection
Atmospheric improvemetns.
1) We have added brids and other flying insects on to many of the courses as part of the upgrade. These birds also create a shadows too.
2) We have added divots that are created when you swing and fly off in front of you after impact.
3) We have added ball marks on the greens assuming a certain speed of the ball on contact
4) Tee shots are now played from a tee and that tee will change in height based on your club selection. In addition the tee will fly in the air on contact with the club ( You wont see it if you use follow cam)
We have also added Custom Flags to PG so now courses with custom flags will show their flags. Not all courses will have custom flags yet of course but these are set inside Course Forge
Added a new UI for Simulators with a Putt Out Button a normal and putting toggle button and an arm device button
For all Mouse Swings we enabled the mouse scrollwheel to change the clubs up and down
We have made all replays work across the network so now when you play a replay online all the other players will see the replay
We have added a new Help page under Settings -> Help. These screens provide a wealth of information on how to play the game and will be consistenly added to as we create more.
We have added a number of integrations into the game which will be available based on the manufacturers decision to release and pricing. So far we have completed SkyTrak, Trackman3, Trackman4, Our own Generic TCP IP plugin with several more coming soon. For now only the Simulator option (Our Generic TCP IP will show in your user choices.)
Finally we have added some code to prevent people who dont have a course file from joining an online game that uses that course file.

New Features
We Continue to look to add New Features requested by our users
Custom Flags in game. There are no courses with this feature yet but custom flags can now be set in Course Forge
We have also now added all the tee markers to the game. In addition we have added a Preferred Tee setting to the player general settings. When games are created they can be set to a specific tee in which case a players preferred tee is overridden, or they can be set to any in which case the player will play from his preferred tee. This enables multiple people on the same machine or in game to play from different tees. For Father Son simulator players this is important.
Simulator Integrations
We have been finalizing and adding Various Simulator Integrations including Sky Trak, Trackman and our own TCP IP integration for third party applications.

Perfect Golf 1.3.8.2 Patch Released
We are pleased to announce Perfect Golf 1.3.8.2 Patch. Our next scheduled full release 1.3.9.0 will introduce the new animations into the game and will be released later this month.
New Features and Improvements
This patch contains a major upgrade to the swing meter which we felt had not received any attention since the early days of Early Access. We wanted to find a way to present a more rhythmical swing while eliminating the need for different swing meters for short putts. As a result we have moved the swing meter start position for 3 click from 6 o clock to 5 o clock which provides sufficient time to make a short putt click and also made the meter keep going past the initial click for a while before coming back down thus giving time to make subsequent clicks.
This patch also intruduces the Free Camera into the game. Fully integrated with Multiplayer,after you have hit your shot you can enter free cam mode to watch your opponent hit his shot from any angle or indeed go down to where your ball has landed and start planning your next shot. As soon as it is your turn to hit again you just disengage the free camera and you will be returned to your regular playing position based on your camera selection. To toggle the free camera in Mouse and Keyboard mode you use the F5 key (you can change this in input settings) and in controller mode you press both triggers and the right bumper button to engage and disengage free camera. The free camera contains a small height indicator in the lower left of the screen.

Made significant improvements to aiming with the controller. The left stick Press now allows you to toggle between aiming in the main view, aiming in the top view and not aiming. The A button allows you to set an aim based on the stick location in which ever view you are active.

We are pleased to announce that 1.3.8 has now been given a public release.
In this release are:
An All New Landing Page and UI Elements
No longer will players be dumped straight into the Multiplayer page. There is now a brand new home page with butons for the major activities and a news section and a Content Coming Soon section. This will enable us to communicate directly with the players with key news items links to tutorials and other information
Tournaments have been given their own tab which is indicative on how we plan to move this section forward by providing people with ever increasing options to play in tournament mode.
Chat is now only visible in the Tournament and Multiplayer sections leaving a lot more room for a better game set up experience. Due to the lack of a keyboard Chat is disabled in Gamepad only mode although in game chat messages will still show up
Revamped in game leaderboards and scorecards.
An option to have the scorecard (or leaderboard if in tournament or challenge mode) show at the end of each hole automatically
Controller support
This release introduces controller support for all facets of the game. We still need to tie in the controller swing into the animation as we plan to do with the motion swing once the new animations are in. But the whole game can be played on the controller from setting up the game in the UI to playing it.
The controller can be selected under the Settings Input Tab.
When this is selected the Controller Swing becomes available in the list of devices in game settings.
To use the controller swing pull back on the stick and wait for the power to increase to your desired level. Let go of the stick, then when the meter gets back to the snap area push it forward again. The net direction of the movement will determine the direction of the ball and the accuracy of the snap will affect the center hit and power realised.

Known Issues
If you have multiple devices plugged in to your pc each of them is capable of controlling perfect golf. IF you have issues with UI elements changing automatically it is probably because you have another device connected like a wheel that is controlling the UI
At the end of a round the UI Text can become artifacted and will show like a character language. It will clear up during the next game and can be toggled back by selecting menu items. this is a unity bug in the current version of unity we are using and will be fixed when we upgrade to Unity 5.2
If a player leaves without disconnecting from the game and the other player is in controller mode only he has no way to get to the settings screen to kick the absent player
Chat will not work when gamepad selected as there is no way to type into chat.
Keyboard/mouse is currently disabled when gamepad selected
Perfect Golf 1.3.7.0 Release Today
We are pleased to announce the release of ver 1.3.7.0. This is mainly a bug fixing release as we have been working hard to squash as many of the bugs as we can while also working on getting Course Forge in its final state so we can get a general release out of that in advance of the retail release of the game. We have got all our new animations done now so we will soon be starting to add them into the game, but that is for a future release.

We have a new game play mode called Skills Challenge Mode which is a series of trouble shots with both a points and distance to the pin scoring system
In addition we have cleaned up the MOP code for Par 3 Challenges so there is a single mop and the holes get auto selected based on Course Selection
New Master Server
This brings additional information to the online games including the ability to set an online game to a specific difficulty level. additional information includes, game play, mulligans, gimmies, difficulty etc
The new release will not work with the old Master Server so there will be a cut off where players will have to upgrade to be able to join games.
Improvements
A whole new Course Selector UI, we figured with the imminent release of a number of user made courses we needed an easier way to navigate through all the courses on the hard drive. It also comes with a Type Ahead select so you can just type South and it will move to Southampton Links etc.
Added Computer Players: Please note this is a work in progress, but we wanted you to do a little testing. Right now we just wanted to get the computer player to a point where they can get around the course. If they hit into a hazard you will need to manually drop him. To set a computer player just change the player type in player settings. The computer player has various settings which allow you to tune his skill. the higher the skill the longer he will take to make up his mind though.
INITIAL Implementation of Hard and Soft Settings. We will continue to do some fine tuning on these. We are still not 100% satisfied with these settings yet but we have pushed them anyway to give you all some additinal variety.
Changed the file format of the MOP files. Our goal is to provide and online tool to allow users to create MOP files

Added some colors to the leaderboard,
Added Colors to the scorecard for birdies, bogeys double bogeys and eagles

Removed dot in top view when aiming in main view in Pro modes
Removed BLI from main screen when aiming in top view in pro modes
Fixed - If you click F2 during the shot then click on post shot continue you can no longer aim as the game thinks you are in F2 screen

Fixed a bug where if you did not stop the swingmeter on the backspin you got max power. It now gives you a random amount of overswing

Known Issues
Bug where the green grid fails to initialize and the balls roll uphill and stop
Bug where using the space bar to turn off the golfer can have a toggle effect if other golfers are playing locally
Bug where the F4 key can interfere with the follow cam.
With the Physics tweaks we have not had a chance to change all the default distances of all the clubs so user beware. We will patch this soon
If there are any major issues please let us know and we will get a patch out as soon as possible
Future Plans..
We are continuing to fine tune tournaments, and will be implmenting the new animations while we continue to get CF reasy for release and fix what we are sure will be additional bugs.
Master Server Scheduled Maintenance
We will be closing the Master Server down shortly to begin the upgrade to 1.3.7.0 which requires a new Master Server application to be running. Please bear with us while we perform this upgrade and get 1.3.7.0 released
