So the past couple of months I've been trying to work out some bugs with the game, sadly not all can be fixed with out basically ripping apart the engine and starting again. This would take far to long and instead I've opted to actually make a new "spiritual sequel". However with some stuff I've learn from that, I'm planning to do some fixes with this game in the next month or two.
Achievements The first one is the achievements issue, some people are experiencing issues with the medals not unlocking or saving. With this I'm planning to add in-game medal system as well as Steam achievements. That way it'll unlock in game and if it doesn't unlock with Steam, you can always resubmit the achievements. This should also help with some saving issues too.
Gameboy version: You can play a game boy version of this game for free over at Newgrounds:

I might add controller support as it being a flash game it's extremely hard to do this.
Tweaks Also in the next couple of months I'm aiming to tweak the game slightly. For example enemy fire being slower and more "dodgable", weapon edits to make some of them more useful and general tidy up of some level designs.
Extra Content I did have this planned but work got in the way and I just didn't have the time, other projects also came into the mix. Then I got to a point where I was re-designing and improving the engine when it became not compatible with Jet Gunner. So instead I opted to start fresh and make a whole new game in the same vein, hence; Fist Slash: Of Ultimate Fury.
Fist Slash: Of Ultimate Fury
You could call Fist Slash: Of Ultimate Fury a spiritual sequel, it's hopefully going to be a vast improvement to Jet Gunner. I've worked hard to get better controller support. I've also worked on the engine so it shouldn't lag to some users, better enemy AI and difficulty settings so everyone can enjoy the game.
It's currently up on Greenlight at the moment and doing rather well, so if you want to see more, go over and Greenlight the game! I'm aiming for it to be a budget title again and most likely cheaper than Jet Gunner!
So that's the news for now, until next time, take care!

Xbox Controller Reinstated. (And other notes)
Just a little announcement to say that the Xbox controller is back. I'm still working on maybe a little fix for the analog stick being more responsive. (I've tested it though and it seemed fine to me.) To select the option, go to options and change the input method.
I'm now trying to fix little bugs like the screen overlay not working without directx8/9. So expect a patch of that soon. I'm also going to tweak some stages so they're easy with the gamepad as well as keyboard controls. After I've got some of these issues ironed out I'll be working on getting some trading cards into the mix!
(Oh and here is a picture of the upcoming Game Boy version of the game)
Patch + Updates.
So just some patch notes and updates for people.
Patch Notes:
First, I've edited so the game doesn't use directx9, however there is a version of the game that uses it included in the Steamapps folder of this game. This should hopefully clear any bugs/issues with full-screen.
I've taken out support for controllers. With so many complains of it not working, it was doing more bad than good so I've got rid of it. As the game was designed originally as a flash game, controller support is difficult to include. I've taken it out for now, but I might work on it with more time and include a patch to re-instate it once it's more finished.
The game now can save offline and doesn't need the use of Steam being online.
The game also now saves your option selections. I've also added in more options for keys
There is now a bonus game in the Steamapp folder of this game, called Alien Splatter that I made for flash a while back. This is to say sorry for the rocky start of the game.
Also after the "Game Boy" and "lab" update I'm most likely not going to add in extra content as promised due to the amount of people disapproving the game. I rather spend my time on working on other projects than a game that people are not too bothered about. Seems people still want some extra content which is nice to know so I'll still be adding some little extras as time go past. Although I rather concentrate on getting the Xbox Controller stuff fixed and added back in first.
Other than that, I hope everything is having a cool day and hopefully this patch will fix some issues. I'm still looking into some details of the game but they'll be updated through out the week.
