Sheriff Antagonist, Bug Fixes, and Quality of Life Adjustments.

He shows up after a few of Jake's missions are complete. Watch your back, because breaking the law can get expensive. This update also fixes some bugs, adds some quality of life changes, balance issues, a new mission, and a some hidden achievements. [/p][p][/p][p]Update Notes: [/p][p]-Added a sheriff npc. [/p][p]-The Sheriff will appear after a few of Jake's missions are completed. [/p][p]-The Sheriff will attempt a traffic stop on traffic violations such as: [/p][p]-Speeding, open container, transporting moonshine, reckless driving, headlights. [/p][p]-You may also get apprehended for fuel theft, evasion, hit and run, obstruction, or an active warrant. [/p][p]-The Sheriff will arrest if you brew moonshine near him. [/p][p]-The Sheriff might let you off with a warning if you pull over, otherwise you will either get a ticket or go to jail, depending on the seriousness of your crime, or if you have an outstanding warrant. [/p][p]-The Sheriff will impound your vehicle if a traffic stop leads to an arrest. [/p][p]-Impounded vehicles can be released by speaking with the sheriff when he is waiting outside the impound lot. [/p][p]-Physical tickets you receive should be paid off as soon as possible. [/p][p]-If you evade arrest, the Sheriff will not forget, and you will get an additional evasion charge the next time you are caught, as well as a warrant for your arrest. [/p][p]-Failure to pay off your tickets, or continuous evasion of arrest will lead to a raid on your home while you sleep. [/p][p]-Arrest leads to a sequence of events where you are cuffed, transported to the station, booked into a holding cell, and later released. [/p][p]-Police pursuit and arrest results in a complete loss of sanity. [/p][p]-The Sheriff will steal any packages of Beef-a-Reeno found in an impounded vehicle. [/p][p]-Added icons to inventory for consumables. [/p][p]-Added new job to infuse and sell all moonshine flavors. [/p][p]-Added nicotine cans to the gas station. You won't lose sanity if your nicotine levels are sufficient. You can also use them before towing a vehicle. [/p][p]-Added a premium beer with better effects. [/p][p]-Added a functional dumpster near the gas station for removing your unwanted junk in that area. [/p][p]-Added $200 and $400 withdraw options to the ATM. [/p][p]-Added two new hidden achievements. [/p][p]-Added percentage to propane tank description. [/p][p]-Added impact sound profiles to logs and moonshine crates. [/p][p]-Driving on rotors now makes the same noise as driving on rims, and is illegal. [/p][p]-Thunder and lightning should appear more often with rainy weather. [/p][p]-Drunk status now lasts longer after drinking. [/p][p]-Sleeping now zeros out drunk effect. [/p][p]-Sleeping now reduces hydration and food levels slightly. [/p][p]-Hydration levels are reduced further if you are drunk before sleeping. [/p][p]-Sprinting now reduces hydration at a slightly faster rate. [/p][p]-Low sanity makes you get tired slightly faster. [/p][p]-Iron ore chunks are now physically smaller but still weigh a lot. [/p][p]-Cans and bottles now make noise and despawn after some time. [/p][p]-Simplification of some unused buildings. [/p][p]-Increased battery charging rate when vehicle is running. [/p][p]-Items are now released from grocery bags in a more controlled manner. More Trophies


(Version 1.91) 6/25/25:
-Added 9 additional trophies. See the flyer near the racing npc for details.
-Dentside and motocross bike can now be used in D/R races for their own trophies.
-Added some additional jump challenges, hill climbs and time trial challenges around the map.

New Engine, Car Updates, Bug Fixes, Lets Go



Hey Everyone,
This update fixes some bugs and adds a 2jz-style engine which can be bought from the junkyard and mounted in either the Diamondback or the Eagle(car). It can be found in the junkyard, but it's expensive and will come with a few random broken parts. Jimmy Junks won't be able to help you fix it, so you'll have to fix it yourself. But the good news is it should be about as powerful as the stock V8. Replacement parts can be found at New Age. The car's original generic engine now wears out over time, but you can buy complete generic engines at the junkyard for around $250 if you would rather use those in your car.
This update should work fine with your old saves, though you might need to recalibrate your mouse sensitivity settings this time. If you have an extremely old save it might be a good idea to start a new game if you notice any blatant anomalies.

Patch Notes:

Added a six cylinder 2jz style engine. This engine works in both the Diamondback and the car. The engine can be bought in the junkyard.
The car's default engine will now wear out over time.
Cheap replacement engines can be bought in the junkyard for around $250.
Auto parts store now has i6 replacement parts.
Jiggs Casey can now recover the i6 engine once it's bought.
Added a sheriff's office/jail. This is part of the next update.
Iron ore now gets destroyed if it falls out of the world.
Moved the i4 engine mount bolts on the diamondback to make them easier to see.
Fixed an issue with mouse sensitivity changing when viewing the menu for the fist time.
Fixed an issue with blackberries not saving properly.
Fixed 3D sound issues with vehicle engines.
Fixed an issue where car's oil level had an inverse effect on the car's power.
Fixed an issue which could cause some items to be thrown out of inventory on loading the game.
Fixed an issue with an Exit Vehicle tooltab appearing when vehicle hasn't been entered.
Fixed an issue with the Diamondback's interior being clean when first bought.
Fixed an issue where engines could come lose from the motor mounts without being unbolted.
Various terrain fixes and clean up.

I'll have another update for you soon which adds an antagonist character to the game and makes use of the Sheriff's station.

V1.88 Requested Hotfixes



After my last update I had a lot of players asking about resolution and spare tire bugs.
This update provides several fixes to address those problems, as well as a few others.

-Fix to title screen automatically changing screen resolution.
-Title screen should now apply and save resolution, and default to whatever you have chosen.
-Removed the anchor bolt on the spare wheel.
-Fix to spare wheel getting stuck to the wheel mount.
-Fix to autosave happening too frequently(now triggers on vehicle exit if 8 minutes have passed)
-Limited the velocity of trailers to help prevent physics anomalies.
-Fix to the front door of the second house having an issue with not opening on the first try.
-Fixed an issue where the red random gen mission truck could become unresponsive.
-Lotto tickets should be readable in low resolution.

Autosave, save slots, requests, quality of life updates


-Added three save slots.
-Added an autosave when exiting a vehicle, which triggers in approximately 8 minute intervals.
-Starting a new game no longer deletes your existing save.
-Added a tire tread depth gauge to measure tire health.
-Fixed some issues with the moonshine distillery where saving and loading while the burner was on could result in the burner being turned off while still using propane.
-Fix to Dentside transfer case reacting to incorrect durability values.
-Removed a junk radiator item in the map which could cause save game issues if recycled.
-(WIP)Created additional roadways and shortcuts.

This update has some physics improvements, some fixes to longstanding bugs, and some quality of life changes.

Moonshine Expansion + Bugfixes



Hey Everyone,
Here's a quick summary of what this update does:

-An infuser module can be bought from Jiggs and attached to the moonshine distillery. It can be filled with various fruit items you can harvest from around the map. Infused moonshine gives a better payout. You can also save your game near the moonshine distillery.

-A more profitable way to sell moonshine and tobacco can be unlocked by completing Jake's original quest line, and then selling him a batch of high quality moonshine to initiate a new mission with him and another NPC.

-You might notice the Texas Hold'em NPCs are gone. Completing Jake's quest line will bring them back, along with some other things(can be overridden with debug menu).

-Important bug fixes to mission waypoints, items falling out of inventory on load, and several other issues you've reported to me.


Complete Update Notes:

-Jake's questline now has an additional quest which is activated when you deliver a high quality batch of moonshine.
-Added an infuser module which can be bought from Jiggs. It will allow you to make different flavors of moonshine from fruit you can find throughout the map.
-Added a new save point close to the moonshine distillery.
-Added a new way to sell moonshine and tobacco. Follow Jake's questline to unlock it.
-Added an orange tree, lime tree, and ambrosia tree for harvesting fruit. Many existing blackberry bushes can be harvested also.
-Added another NPC to assist with Jake's questline(voice credit Drae).
-Added a ceiling collider to prevent objects from launching out of the map(and causing weird side effects when they get too far away).
-Texas Holdem players are unlocked through Jake's questline(also added a debug menu override in the event you want to still play poker without completing Jake's questline).
-Fixed an issue where mission waypoint continuity could be broken if saving and reloading mid mission.
-Fixed an issue with some inventory items dropping in front of player when loading into game.
-Fixed an issue where Jake might not pay you for the vandalism mission.
-Fixed an issue with moonshine quality algorithm incorrectly accumulating excessive quality instead of averaging.
-Fixed the moonshine still not having fluid level visual.
-Fixed an issue where junkyard tires could get stuck in lost and found.
-Fixed an issue where mud could take an eternity to wash away with the hose.
-Increased power of compound turbo system by 30%
-Changed voice of utility worker(voice credit Bubbahead)
-Changed race forms to specify the Diamondback as the compatible truck.
-Changed the final leg of the path to the moonshine still to be less aggressive.
-Changed all of Jake's furniture items to be shoulder-carry.
-Flattened various terrain holes and removed poorly placed bushes.

Small Update



-V8 parts now show visual wear and tear if it's a part which degrades.
-Certain V8 and i4 parts can now be painted.
-Some default engine colors have been changed to bare metal.
-Part color can be reverted to bare metal using white paint can.
-Fixed a texture issue with the V8 cylinder heads.
-Fixed an issue where the V8 could be removed from the truck despite being bolted down.
-Fixed the non-functional garden hose in the second house.
-A garage door opener can now be attached to the Dentside's visor.
-A third garage door opener now spawns when buying the house.
-Minor miscellaneous bug fixes.

Quality-of-Life Update

The early game was more brutal than necessary. It can be tough saving your money for an upgrade, only to blow all four tires in one day and bankrupt yourself. This update tries to balances out a lot of early-game hangups, fixes some annoyances, and improves some of the visuals.

Adjustments:
-Optimized lighting in second home.
-Jiggs can now only recover the V8, i4, and 250 blocks if they have been detached from their vehicle, requiring you to discover/purchase them before being able to recover them.
-Cheap tires now spawn inside the junkyard.
-Payphone saves are now free.
-Increased payout for logs.
-Lowered initial coolant level when buying truck from junkyard.
-Increased the distance in which you can throw trash bags.
-Jake now pays more for his first few jobs.
-Slightly increased the amount of random junk spawns.
-Decreased the amount of rain.
-Increased and staggered the HP of stock tires that come with the Diamondback.

Additions:
-Overhauled several tree models so far-away scenery looks better.
-Added an oil dipstick to V8 block.
-Added an oil dipstick to i4 block.
-Several UI formatting issues.

Fixes:
-Fixed an issue where the Diamondback's body would not get muddy in some situations.
-Fixed an issue where after completing a mission, a new mission would be labeled as tracked without showing a waypoint.
-Fixed a stamina issue when carrying a despawning heavy mission item to its destination.
-Fixed a head tracking issue with some NPCs.
-Fixed an issue where your money value could display fractions of a cent.
-Fixed refueling sound loop blip.
-Fixed and issue with poker player status not clearing from the previous round.
-Fixed a Holdem issue where you could bet past your stack size.
-Fixed a holdem issue where you could wind up with a negative cash roll.
-Fixed an issue where the spare tire mount couldn't be detached.
-Fixed an issue where the spare tire would not detach(keep in mind this tire has one bolt holding it to the mount)
-Fixed an issue where the spare tire mount had a large unused collider area.
-Assorted small UI fixes.
