In our continuing efforts to keep H1Z1 a fun and safe place to play, we are introducing BattlEye to H1Z1. This service is in use with several other games and provides some unique capabilities that should have a noticeable effect in keeping cheaters out of the game, and should complement our existing anti-cheat features nicely. Any anti-cheat system requires continuous upkeep and we will keep modifying ours to provide the most level playing field possible.
If you are encountering issues with BattlEye it’s generally a firewall preventing the program. Check that and their official FAQ first.
Game Update 12/19 + Wipe
The Live servers will be down starting at 3AM PST for approximately 2 1/2 hours. Battle Royale Servers will lock an hour before starting at 2AM PST. Because of the new base permissions and the changes to the military base this update will include a full character and world wipe.

While in survival, seek out the naughty or nice zombies to get a special holiday gift. These zombies are particularly resilient to certain damage types.
While playing BR, keep your eyes to the sky and watch for those airdrop crates to retrieve your holiday goodies.
3 new traps for survival
One time use. Can be placed anywhere objects can normally be placed

New body sim stat called Comfort
Consuming various foods and drinks or sitting by a fire will increase your comfort level.
Suffering attacks from zombies, bears, and wolves will cause your comfort to go down. The higher your comfort level, the faster you regenerate health and stamina.
Foundation permissions:
Added the ability to give each foundation a separate set of permissions for construction, destruction, and container access on a per player basis. We are currently aware that destruction permission for the demolition hammer is not functioning correctly on the TEST server. This will be addressed before this feature goes to LIVE.
Military Base revamp
New buildings have been placed, vehicles and zombies spawns are now there. The item spawners have also been revamped and you should now find more items that pertain to what you would expect to find in a military base. Such as, explosives, MREs, and Rifles.

The spawn rate of guns and ammo has been adjusted. Weapons and ammunition should be more scarce than before (a dev blog explaining this further will come out later today or tomorrow.)

Server Wipe 11/25 + Teaming in Solo BR
We are going to be wiping the servers clean this week on Wednesday the 25th. For those of you who have not been through a server wipe before, this means that all player built structures will be removed. Also all of the items in your inventory or stored in the world will also be gone. You will still have all of your skins and other account locked items. Your character will be erased so you will need to reclaim your name. The patch will support server stability over the holiday weekend. We’ve fixed some difficult to diagnose bugs recently that should reduce random crash conditions, thanks for your patience on that.
We recognize that teaming is a concern right now amongst the Battle Royal community. We are also not a fan of teaming in a mode designed for solo play, that’s why we created Team versions of Battle Royale. We’re examining what can be done in code that isn’t obtrusive during gameplay against deliberately teaming (for Solo Battle Royale and Green Dawn). We are testing a few things internally, like the restriction of only allowing one player in a vehicle for non-team game modes. Expect to see some anti-teaming measures coming from us soon.
In the meantime we’ll be reviewing cases in which we think teaming is disrupting the game, and potentially taking action against those accounts. Players may play cooperatively with up to the number of players stated for each game mode. Meaning, a 5-man team can't play coop with another 5-man team, but if three friends sign up for a 5-man but leave the other two out to dry it is still fine. In the end, if you are caught teaming you run the risk of action being taken against your account.

We have a small update going out tomorrow. Servers will be going down at 6:00am Pacific and will be down for approximately 2 hours.
