A: Unfortunately, due to significant changes in the full version, including a complete reset of the prologue and the main character, and the addition of numerous new gameplay, you will need to start a new game after the full version update.
Q: Do I need to purchase the full version if I already bought the Early Access version?
A: Players who have purchased the Early Access version will receive a free upgrade to the full version upon its release.
Q: Will there be more new content updates in the future?
A: While creating the full version, we already had some new ideas. However, after the full release, we will prioritize optimizing the game. The new content that everyone is looking forward to will come after that. Please stay tuned for the latest official news.
Q: Will the game support PC game controllers/Steamdeck?
A: In the full version, we will enable customizable button functions for controllers, allowing you to adjust to your preferred settings. The Steamdeck adaptation is almost complete, and Steam is currently reviewing it. After stabilizing the full version, we will continue to optimize the Steamdeck adaptation.
Q: What should I do if I encounter a black screen or long loading times when opening the game?
A: If the game is installed on a HDD, it may take longer to load resources the first time you open the game due to the drive's read speed. Please be patient. We also recommend using a SSD to run the game. Using an integrated graphics card might cause similar issues. We will continue to monitor this issue after launch. Thank you for your understanding.
Q: Is it more cost-effective to buy the game now?
A: The game is currently available at an all-time low discount. Purchasing now will also grant you the Launch Exclusive Content and the Soundtrack.
Q: Will the game support console versions, or is it only playable on Steam?
A: The game is currently only available on Steam, but we are preparing for console platform ports. We will share any new developments with everyone.
Q: Can we still play the Demo after the full release?
A: We know that the Demo is the most direct and fastest way to understand the gameplay. Therefore, the current free Demo will remain available after the game's release.

We're joining the Eastern Game Fest with the Official Demo! The better news: the game will conclude its early access phase and transition to an official release this summer. This Official Demo includes many new gameplay features, the complete prologue storyline, and the revamped Kaku.

We had many ideas originally and hoped to add them to the game during the early access period. But we are more eager to create updates that players will love. After the launch of the early access version, we collected feedback from players on various platforms. After intense discussions, we finally confirmed the updates that players wanted and decided to revamp the protagonist.
However, these decisions have impacted the development progress, increasing the time required for development, far beyond our expectations. The game possesses four extensive maps and a multitude of cutscenes. And the majority of the planned updates are core gameplay, making it difficult for us to update the game while ensuring stability and integrity.
Recently, as the content of the official version nears completion, we have been continuously conducting player testing, constantly fixing, iterating, and improving. We will transition to the official version in the summer. We are eager to let everyone try out the new content and allow new adventurers to experience the fun of KAKU: Ancient Seal. Therefore, we are releasing the revamped full prologue as a Demo, enabling everyone to experience it in advance.
Overview of the Demo:
Revamped Full Prologue: Complete new prologue storyline and gaming experience.
Revamped Floating Islands: In addition to changes in scene atmosphere and models, we've also optimized the jumping and layout of the floating islands. Players will experience two distinctly different atmospheres on the islands.
Brand New Protagonist Kaku: Players can control the brand new Kaku, who offers improved controls, actions, and of course, a more handsome appearance.
New Combat System: New skill tree and UI, providing previews of more possible move branches.
Transformation System: Use lost divine power to battle in the form of a divine being.
New Wilderness Gameplay: Includes new elements such as Beehives, Claws, Poisonous Mushrooms, Detox Flowers, and more.
Challenge Prologue Boss: Enhanced the Ancient Guardian with additional skills await your arrival.
World of Ruins: The location of all ruins, with The Star Altar as the central point for upgrading and strengthening. Players can enhance their attributes, learn various skills, or challenge various types of ruins to win rewards.
New Piggy Skills: We've kept the most popular Piggy disguise and revamped the remaining 3 skills. The new skills include:
Ripple Water Walk, which helps Kaku walk on water.
Power Jump, which helps Kaku leap over ravines and cliffs.
Spatial Teleport, which allows Kaku to freely travel to and from the World of Ruins.
To celebrate the release of the Demo, we are also launching a -25% discount on KAKU: Ancient Seal. Players who purchase the Early Access version will receive a free upgrade to the full version at no additional cost. We will continue to work diligently to optimize and enhance the content of the full version for an early release.
This is probably the last development log. We've essentially completed the production of most of the new content and are working on numerical adjustments, balance adjustments and optimizations.
Recently, testing for the new prologue and some of the elemental continents has ended. We will gradually test each elemental continent and the new content to ensure a better gaming experience for everyone. VFX, sound, CG, and values will continue to be optimized and iterated upon during testing.

1.CG remake in progress
We've completed the production of Kaku's equipment and weapons (including new designs). However, characters like Kaku and Nomin have been remastered, along with a large number of scenes. We need to redo all the cutscenes to better convey the story. Below is the new appearance of the tutorial chapter.
2: World of Ruins
We're optimizing ruins gameplay while incorporating feedback from everyone. We've added new features like replayability. You can also return to star altar to upgrade with rewards obtained. Completing ruins challenges will increase maximum health or stamina, and we've added new vfx for this.

3: Rune Stone System
To enhance the playability of equipment and provide more choices in combat, the rune stone system has been introduced. In addition to exclusive rune stones for various styles or skills, there are also many fun and versatile Rune Stones that can be embedded in any equipment. Below are displays of several special Rune Stone effects.
Jump Rune Stone (slightly restores stamina upon jumping).
Clubbing Rune Stone (chance to stun enemies with the first hit of the arm blade).
Transformation Enhancement Rune Stone (reduces the energy consumption of transformation states).
4: Transformation System
We have redesigned all actions and effects of the transformation system. Additionally, we have introduced many Rune Stones related to transformation, which greatly increase the income in the transformation state. In the transformation state, Kaku will have an extremely large attack range and deal multi-hit damage. Whenever the collection progress of the blank stele reaches a level, you can activate new transformation skills.

5: Ponpon Quests
Due to the increase of explorable content, Ponpon quests have also been updated. The current Ponpon quests will guide players to explore the continent, or find hidden treasure treasures. Rewards can be obtained as the Ponpon book collection progresses. After understanding the full history of the Ponpon, you will unlock the ultimate prize!

6: Atmosphere Iteration
While creating new content, we have also been continuously iterating on existing scenes. Recently, we have designed two different atmospheres for the floating island and redesigned the entire floating island. By the way, we have also made modifications to the floating island jumping.
