As part of our push to solve the problems currently facing Kao the Kangaroo, we are releasing patches as soon as they are ready for their respective platforms.
Our first patch is available via Steam solving the following issues.

We moved mountains to make Kao The Kangaroo’s release on all major platforms globally on day one not just a possibility, but a reality. As a small team, we faced a number of moving parts when it came to creating and releasing the game.
We’re aware of the bug affecting people’s saves and are hard at work patching this problem. We aim to have the patch out this week.
We will be releasing further patches to address other issues, we’ll keep you updated.
Kao The kangaroo Is Now Available!
The time has finally come...Kao The Kangaroo is now available!
Hop, jump, and punch your way through a whole new platforming adventure packed with discovery, secrets, and puzzles!
With over 20 years of history to pull from, Kao The Kangaroo’s newest adventure was a long time coming! Inspired by the golden age of 3D platformers, Kao The Kangaroo is a vibrant jaunt that marries the old-school ways with a modern flavor!
After the mysterious disappearance of his father, Kao begins his journey to uncover the truth. His only clues are past stories of his father and his old pair of magical talking boxing gloves… wait, talking gloves?!
Kao will master the power of the gloves while fighting back corruption caused by strange purple crystals appearing around the world. These same crystals aren’t just corrupting the lands and their inhabitants, but also opening portals to an unknown world, a strange world… the Eternal World.
Are all these things connected? Where did Kao’s father go? Why did he go? Why do the gloves speak to him? Are they blessing Kao with powers to aid him in his quest for truth? Or are they simply using him?
Here at Tate MultiMedia, we wanted to craft a fresh 3D platformer that will embrace new audiences, while reminding older generations about the pure fun the genre provided throughout many childhoods. Kao is bold, vibrant, and full of life. We’ve gone to great lengths to craft a game that can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age or skill level. Whether you’re a 100% collect-a-thon master, a lightning-fast speedrunner or a ‘few hours a week of game time’ warrior, Kao The Kangaroo is here for you!

The time has finally come when we can say that Kao The Kangaroo is officially releasing May 27th, 2022!
We are extremely excited to finally put the date out there. We know you’ve been asking ever since Kao’s return was announced. Additionally, we’d like to share with you the pricing -
The physical version of Kao The Kangaroo will be released across North America and Europe, on Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. A physical PC version will be released in Europe, but will require Steam.
We can’t wait for you to finally get your paws on Kao’s latest adventure and experience our furry friend on a whole new level!

With Steam Nextfest coming to a close, the Kao The Kangaroo demo is no longer available.
First and foremost, we'd like to give you all a huge thank you for trying the demo. We're happy to give you the chance to get your hands on Kao's next adventure. Additionally, we'd like to thank you for leaving feedback. The amount of in-depth feedback we have received has been amazing. We're humbled you took the time to highlight things you liked, the things you did not like, and any bugs you found.
The fact a speed-running community spawned around the demo still blows us away!...even if that meant seeing the boomerang bug everyday ;)
