She may not look much like her younger cousin Toto, but they're still family. She's oblivious to the terrible luck that follows her everywhere she goes, something her poor cousin knows about all too well...
And unfortunately for him, Tanya adores her poor little cousin...
Active Skill: Sharp Shooter (Intermediate): Tanya takes aim with piratical style! She aims at an area based on her current speed, targeting all opposing Racers in the area. Tanya then fires 2 rounds of specially modified rounds for each targeted Racer, inflicting missile damage and temporarily disabling the balloons of any Racer it hits.

Greed on the High Seas (Lodumani):
Area of Effect has been increased.
Now creates Cursed Item Boxes for a set period in the location of a looted Item Box. Opposing Racers who collect the Cursed Item Box will not receive an item, and a randomly selected item will be removed instead.
For all ranks, the first use of this skill is available at the start of the race without a cooldown.
Developer's Note: Lodumani's skill allows him to loot all nearby item boxes, to fill his own slots and prevent other Racers from obtaining them. However, filling the player's item slots doesn't feel like that large of a bonus, and the boxes have short respawn times, leading many players to consider his skill to be too low-impact, resulting in low pick-rates. Lodumani now has a more high-impact and disruptive skill. The skill not only loots all nearby item boxes, but also leaves a cursed item box that will steal one of the items from opposing Racers that try to collect one.

Developer's Note: Taki, Erini, Tiera, and Sophia are support type characters, so their skills have more to do with helping the team win instead of just themselves. We have determined that their comparatively low pick rates have a lot to do with how their skills don't feel that impactful, so we decided to increase the utility of their skills. Rather than changing what their skills do, however, we have taken the direction of making them more frequently available.
Old Money (Mayor Zipi):
If the skill is successfully used, then the cooldown for the next use will be decreased.
Developer's Note: Compared to the risks that come with Mayor Zipi's skill, the returns of a successful use are still too small. As a result, we decided to reduce the cooldown of the skill following a successful use. This way, Mayor Zipi will be able to use the skill more often as they successfully use it multiple times.
Passive Skill Changes
Sleight of Hand (Mobi):
The item copy available status will now always be active when the skill is used.
The skill will become active again after a set duration, following successfully copying an item.
A boost will now be activated when an item is successfully copied, instead of when the skill is activated.
Items can no longer be copied from the same target consecutive times.

Developer's Note: Despite Mobi's skill as a potentially high utility one that copies the items of other racers, but rather because of a passive that activates at undesirable times, it was hard to make good use of it. In order to make Mobi's skill more proactive, the copying effect is now available as a base. Once Mobi copies an item, he gets the boost effect and has the skill on cooldown, and then he will be able to copy another item when the cooldown is over.
Cannonball (Toto):
Cannonball is now an aimed item, which creates an explosion centered on the target Racer.
Cannonball's explosion no longer affects Racers on the same team.
Item change chance has been increased for all ranks:
Common: 78% (Previously 58%)
Fine: 81% (Previously 60%)
Rare: 84% (Previously 62%)
Heroic: 87% (Previously 64%)
Legendary: 90% (Previously 66%)
Developer's Note: Toto's skill changes Missiles into a Cannonball item, but as the Missile goes from an aimed item to an area-of-effect item like the Cannonball, there was a lot of feedback saying that it feels like an active downgrade in many situations.
As such, the Cannonball item has been changed into an aimed item, and also creates a blast radius centered on the targeted Racer, so that it is always an improvement over a missile. Of course, allied Racers won't be affected by the explosion, thus making the skill more useful in more use cases.
Game Modes and Matchmaking
Mode Lab
New Modes have been added to the Mode Lab:
Solo Ghost Battle:
Base rules are the same as the standard Speed Mode, however Racers will not collide with each other.
Opposing Racers will appear in the mode as shadows.
Squad Tug of War:
Base rules are the same as Squad Item Mode, and Racers are divided into two teams of Miso and Tiera to engage in a character skill battle.
Red Team: 4 Miso Racers
Blue Team: 4 Tiera Racers
Skill cooldowns are reducd by 50%.
Character outfits are applied at random, regardless of whether the Racer owns that outfit.
Speed Mode S:
Base rules are the same as Squad Speed Mode, but with all character skills active.
Active skill cooldowns are reduced by 20%.
Drafting is disabled in this mode.
Solo Derek's Extreme Zone:
Base rules are the same as Solo Speed Mode, but all Racers will play as Derek and be able to use his "Extreme Velocity" skill.
Racers will not collide with each other, and opposing Racers will appear in the mode as shadows.
Traction system will not be enabled for this mode.
Character outfits are applied at random, regardless of whether the Racer owns that outfit.

When the "Near Character" option is selected for the Draft Gauge, the UI will no longer appear when a draft is not active.
The default setting for Draft Gauge location has been changed to "Near Character".
Automatic Long Slide Drift's usage will now be displayed in Time Attack's Shadow Key Viewer when used.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Erini's "Lightstone Shield" skill lasted longer than a normal Shield item.
Fixed an issue where AI Racers were being hit back too strongly by Neo's "Wave of Justice" skill.
Fixed an issue where incorrect LAP UI would display when checking the Time Attack shadow's route.
Fixed an issue where the Time Attack Shadow Key Viewer would erroneously show the Drift key being pressed when it wasn't (this fix will only apply to shadows created after the July 2024 Pirate Update).
Fixed an issue where race signs would stay visible in certain situations in Time Attack races.
Fixed an issue where Spirit Kid's Shadow's fire on his head was still visible in Time Attack races, even when the option was disabled.
Fixed an issue you could use the in-game chat with the Emoji shortcut key, even when the chat window wasn't open, or when the game is starting and ending.
(Mobile Only) Fixed an issue where the Boost Gauge UI would not change location when customizing controls.
(Mobile Only) Fixed an issue where the highlight effect disappears when clicking the Hide/Display Enter button twice in Custom Race.

Skipping a day will not skip any prizes. For example, logging in on Day 1, missing Day 2, and returning on Day 3 will reward you Login Reward 1 and 2. You must login on a total of 12 days during the event to receive all 12 prizes.

Complete the listed challenge, and you will immediately receive the listed reward.
Challenges that say "Complete" will count all races that complete, regardless of if you cross the finish line.
Challenges that say "Finish" will only count races that you cross the finish line in before being Retired.
Once both the Stage 1 and 2 challenges have been completed, a third challenge will become visible, with rewards that may include new Costumes and Karts!

Earn Trophies by completing Daily and Normal Challenges by racing in KartRider: Drift.
Each Challenge has different requirements, and may also impose additional conditions to complete.
Not all Challenges award the same number of Trophies. The number varies based on the difficulty or complexity of the Challenge.
Daily Challenges can be completed once per day, and begin and expire at 12:00 AM UTC.
Normal Challenges can be completed once during the noted period, and will not reset.
Leaving a race before it is completed will not count towards Challenge progress.
The win in Ranked Queue challenges is counted when ranking 1st in Solo, and when the result is a team win in Squad.
Additionally, some events will award Trophies, which can be used in the same manner as Trophies earned from Challenges.
Once earned from a Challenge, Trophies will automatically be sent to your Garage.
The number of Challenges completed in a week will also give a Clear Reward.
Racing Pass Rewards can be purchased from the Racing Pass menu by spending the Trophies you've earned.
Some Racing Pass rewards require you to obtain a certain number of total Trophies during the current Racing Pass before you can purchase them.
If you spend Trophies on a reward, those Trophies will still count towards the amount needed to unlock the purchase of other rewards.
Some Racing Pass rewards can only be purchased by those who have purchased a Premium Racing Pass.
Trophies can also be spent on the Plus Boxes:
All Racers can spend 12 Trophies to purchase the Normal Plus Box once they have redeemed all non-Premium Racing Pass rewards, which contains a previous Normal Racing Pass reward or another item, including Deep Sea Brodi (Rare Character) and Steamshark (Rare Kart).
Racers with a Premium Racing Pass can also spend 12 Trophies to purchase the Premium Plus Box once they have redeemed all Racing Pass rewards, which contains a previous Premium Racing Pass reward or another item, including Burglar Vivi (Rare Character) and Dark Knight (Rare Kart).
If you receive a duplicate item from a Plus Box that does not stack, you will instead receive Mileage, which can be exchanged in the Item Shop for a selection of items.

All unused Trophies will expire at the end of the Racing Pass period.
