Future DLC & Updates!
There is a guaranteed minimum of 2 major updates during Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls lifetime but I may decide to do more dependant on multiple factors, The first major update will release at the same time as the Untitled DLC #1 pack that will release sometime in Q2 2025 which will include more cosmetics, access to the paid Untitled DLC #1 pack (if purchased) and a new world full of 8 new levels (Major Update #1's contents may change or have additions closer to release).

The casino manager is the world 3 boss and will fight Kaz for a bet, if Kaz wins then he gets info on where Ash was last sighted in the underworld.
Cosmetics & Spirit Gems
What are spirit gems?
Spirit Gems are a new collectible which act as a currency for the spirit shop, in the spirit shops you can purchase cosmetics, lives and soul orbs in different quantities, each enemy you defeat will grant you 10 gems and every level has around 100-140 gems excluding enemies so you shouldn't have to grind for hours just for one single trail.
What types of cosmetics are there?
At launch there will only be one type of cosmetic which will be trails you can equip to Kaz but in future major updates there will be more types of cosmetics added, one idea for other cosmetics currently being floated around is Pets which would follow Kaz throughout the levels.
Note: Cosmetics are not reset upon selecting new game and neither is your soul orbs and spirit gems, this is so you can continue to use your rewards and soul orbs as a weird new game plus.
How many cosmetics will there be from launch?
From launch there will be 10 trails for you to purchase with spirit gems from the store, this should require you to back track through levels to obtain all of them but you can still get a decent handful (of your choice) from playing naturally.
Survival Mode & Soul Orbs
What are Soul Orbs?
Soul Orbs are a collectible which serve the same kind of purpose as the "Jars Of Power" from Kaz's Adventure (2022.), They unlock a save star which shows up on your main menu (75 souls orbs) and unlocks survival mode (15 souls orbs) and a secret mode (30 soul orbs) that I'll leave as a surprise.
What is Survival Mode?
Survival Mode is a arcade style mode where you must survive on a small platform while the Cloaked try and cause you to fail, you are timed in this mode with the ability to capture your score at the end and compare it to your high score.
Secret Mode?
I won't spoil much but this mode will contain its own (not story related) set of small bite size levels players can go through, the mode can be unlocked once you have 30 soul orbs and there will be 6 levels at launch with more being added in future updates.

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls is close enough to completion we now know when it will be finished for certain this time, we also have new level environments and plot points to use in the upcoming trailer!
When will the game release?
At the moment we are saving the release date announcement for the final trailer but it will be within Q4 2024 for free.
When is the trailer releasing?
The trailer releases 17th June 2024 and will mainly focus on gameplay and never before seen environments.
During your adventure, you'll come across new characters and enemies, this is a enemy called bones who appears throughout all 4 worlds and has 100 HP, it also has a armoured alternative which has 150 HP, This is the 2nd enemy to have 150 HP and the first enemy to have variants of itself so make sure you check if it has armour before you expect it to die after two hits!
