As some of you already know, KeepUp Survival includes an unofficial multiplayer mode. However, this mode has faced significant problems since the engine was changed.
In the past, I've had to make numerous repairs to fix a variety of minor issues. Currently, there is still a persistent problem in multiplayer mode, especially related to the use of axes or torches. It frequently occurs that the client has difficulty picking up these items. They float in the air or simply do not work as intended.
After extensive research, I was able to narrow down this problem and am determined to pursue it further. Interestingly, this problem does not seem to occur on the two smaller cards. If I am wrong and you experience this problem there as well, please let me know.
On the main map, Lost Island, I have noticed that this problem is particularly common when approaching sea water, which is indeed quite strange. At higher elevations, however, this problem does not occur. It seems that several factors overlap here and trigger this problem. If you have had any other experience in this matter, please let me know about it as well.
Furthermore, I would like to tell you in another news how things are going with the Early Access title KeepUp Survival.

I would like to inform you that I have recently performed a small update to make some improvements. I have specifically addressed the issue with the torch and flashlight. In this context, I have revised the keybindings. You can now toggle the flashlight on and off as usual using the F key, but also with the G key. Additionally, you have the option to customize this key to your preferences in the input settings.
I want to point out that there is currently an issue with saving the input settings, although they should normally be saved. This is not working as expected at the moment. I kindly ask for your patience and understanding as I work to resolve this issue.

Admin Tool Hello community, with this update I want to release the admin tool for you.
The admin tool is located in the pause menu and can be very useful for you, you have the ability to access all available items. And also the possibility to skip the night.
But the admin tool is still in development (beta) and will be further developed. Ideas and wishes are always welcome.
This tool should be a start to give the user even more freedom in the game.
The admin tool has a time lock before it can be used. I want to prevent this tool from being exploited before you have even played the game normally. So that one can form an honest opinion about a game.
The admin tool will be unlocked after 120 minutes of gameplay, after that you can use it indefinitely.

General
- Changes: KeepUp Survival has some time ago been implemented fundamental and important change. It included the new UE5 and important changes. Unfortunately, the transition did not go smoothly and was very bumpy. This led to additional work messing up the schedule.
- Info: Due to the great demand, full controller support is planned, but you will have to be patient at the moment. The partial controller support is also still a bit bumpy due to the changeover and still needs to be adjusted and improved.
As another thing, the AI and performance are currently being further improved, and the planned human AI is also still in development.
Due to the change from UE4 to UE5, some problems had to be fixed and some things had to be rescheduled. The elimination of the problems had priority.
- Marketing: During development, it is also important to do marketing. Unfortunately, KeepUp Survival is no longer promoted on Steam like it used to be. This means that, unfortunately, KeepUp Survival is no longer recommended.
Right now, I'm running my own promotional efforts to even be found. But as an indie developer, it's not easy to implement the best advertising strategies.
I hope that this will change for the better in the near future.
- Updates: KeepUp Survival will continue to receive regular small to major updates every 2 to 4 weeks.

- Multiplayer mode: This mode has not been officially available for some time due to various problems. This mode is now only unofficially available.
**The game is explicitly advertised as a single player mode.
In development, single player mode is prioritized without regard to multiplayer mode. Multiplayer games often require double and triple the work of a single player game.
Considering the problems with multiplayer and the increasing competition that offers much better multiplayer games, I think my decision is the right one.
However, multiplayer mode will continue to be developed, but there will be changes to enable multiplayer mode, "activation will be required". Hereby I want to make sure that users are better informed that this mode may contain issues and is provided on an experimental basis. Firstly, to better inform users about it, as mentioned before, and secondly, to mitigate the bad reviews about this mode.
