Today we’ve released a special “Retro First Friday” update for MicroProse™ Soccer with Version 2.0!
Both the DOS and C64 versions of the game are now playable in the same package!
The game now starts in a launcher which allows selection between the two game versions.
The launcher also features save state functionality for the C64 version, as well as links to the game’s original documentation and the Ziggurat Quickstart Guide.
Ziggurat is thrilled to announce that we've updated the classic Microprose™ Soccer to now include the much-beloved Commodore 64 version of the game.
In addition to the previously available DOS version of Microprose™ Soccer, players can now select between DOS and C64 through a new launcher that can boot either version.
The launcher also includes handy new features such as:
Game documentation including our quick start guide (for DOS) and a scan of the original manual
Save slot functionality for the C64 version
New 'quick load' feature which will allow players to skip the emulation of the original C64 version and jump straight into the game.
This patch corrects some folder and file names given in the Quick Start guide in the game's install folder. It also updates the game so that exiting the game closes DOSBox instead of exiting to the DOS prompt.
