Patch, 20th February, 2022

A small update fixing a blocker to Level 2 of Summer.
Happy Posting! Enjoy!

Announcing the KeyWe Challenge Update!

Hey Teleposters, we’re excited to announce a new KeyWe update, just in time for Hollyjostle!

This is a free patch for all PC players, and it’s available now. The update includes:

Challenges!
Some levels now offer optional Challenge objectives - just look for the Challenge Coin icon in the Calendar or Overtime Shift board.

Can you win the Snowball Fight without letting a single cassowary throw a snowball? How about popping every red bubble in the Bubble Wrap Testing room? Some of these are meant to be pretty tough, even for seasoned Teleposters, and we can’t wait to see your kiwi tactics in action. We believe in you (and Jeff and Debra)!

Aside from an immense feeling of accomplishment, beating Challenges will also bag you some…

New kiwi customizations!
Completing Challenges will earn you Challenge Coins, which you can spend on newly-added stuff in the Wardrobe. Bungalow Basin’s winter Hollyjostle celebration is in full swing, so we’ve added a flurry of festive items like Reindeer Antlers, fuzzy Winter Boots, and the incredible Walrus Tusks facewear. We think that last one is really gonna knock your socks off.

This patch will also add some Wardrobe items that you can get with regular ol’ Stamps, like the Elfen Winklepicker shoes (they jingle when you run!) and the Peppermint Plumage skin (which looks extremely fresh).

We don’t want to spoil everything here, though. The best thing you can do is download and play it yourselves! Let us know what you think in the comments or over on Twitter.

Thanks for playing KeyWe. Your postal antics and support are a constant source of joy and inspiration for our team. From everybirdy here at Stonewheat & Sons and Fireshine Games, have a very Happy Hollyjostle!

KeyWe - Challenge Update Patch Notes

New Stuff

- Introducing Challenges! Some levels now have optional Challenges on top of their usual objectives. The first time you complete a level while also meeting its Challenge objective, you’ll get a Challenge Coin. You can spend Challenge Coins for special new stuff in the Wardrobe. Good luck!

- With Hollyjostle in full swing, we’ve added a flurry of festive customizations to the Wardrobe, including Reindeer Antlers, Walrus Tusks, and fuzzy Winter Boots! Some of these are purchasable with the new Challenge Coins, while you can get others with regular ol’ Stamps.

100th Annual Grand Ol’ Telepost Tournament DLC!

From guiding ghostly mail during Wickertide to delivering letters to Papa Moon during Hollyjostle, traditions are a pillar of Bungalow Basin! But there’s one Bungalow-Basin tradition you might not have heard of, and we’ve been dying to tell you about it. It’s the Annual Telepost Tournament!

[previewyoutube="R5SX_l0JEEU;full"]

The 100th Annual Grand Ol’ Telepost Tournament

The Annual Telepost Tournament is an exciting racing challenge where postal pros from all over Bungalow Basin gather to test their skills and compete for the title of Postmaster! Jeff and Debra have been working hard all year and now they’re ready to represent Relay Station 4 in this new KeyWe downloadable content! Available right now, here! If you haven’t played KeyWe yet, you’ll even be able to take advantage of a 33% discount on the full version of the game for the next 48hrs.

Introducing a Brand-New Game Mode

The Grand Ol’ Telepost Tournament DLC combines all the best parts of an obstacle course with some of the challenges of an athletic decathlon to test postal workers’ cooperation skills, quick thinking, speed, and their ability to keep calm under pressure! You’ll be going head-to-head with staff members from other relay stations to prove you have what it takes to deliver mail across any terrain in courses themed after Bungalow Basin locales!

Trek through the lush pastures of Gumtree Grove, brave the harsh deserts of Painted Cliffs, and paddle through the winding waterways of Lake Bessy! The tournament will see Jeff and Debra climbing across treacherous cliffs, delving into dark diamond mines, feeding hungry crocodiles, and much more. You can even take on additional objectives throughout the levels and conquer them to earn extra rewards. Oh, and speaking of rewards…

All-New Wardrobe Items (and a New Friend?!)

It’s not easy being the best-dressed birds in Bungalow Basin, but someone's gotta do it! The Tournament rewards some very flashy new items for your Wardrobe. Sail Lake Bessy in a ferocious pirate hat, lace up a stylin' set of kiwi running shoes, or lend an extra hand at the Telepost with kiwi-sized arms! Yes, ARMS. You'll also meet a very special kiwi named Herbert. He’s a little different from Jeff and Debra, but we love him all the same!

We hope you have tons of fun playing through these new level designs and that the 100th Grand Ol’ Telepost Tournament brings a whole new level of mailroom mayhem to your KeyWe experiences! We can’t wait to hear what you think and see Jeff and Debra dressed up in even more adorable outfits. Join the discussion and share your screenshots over on the official KeyWe Twitter page or in the KeyWe Discord Server!

KeyWe is coming to EGX London!

Incoming transmission: KeyWe is going to be at EGX London from the 7th to the 10th of October!

We’re delighted to announce that we’re giving YOU the chance to play KeyWe this week at EGX 2021. Whether you’re a postal professional by now or a prospective Telepost employee who wants to get hands on with the game first, stop on by the Rezzed Zone to experience a little mailroom mayhem AND to pick up some adorable KeyWe merch.

How to Find Us

Keep an eye out for stalls featuring the KeyWe branding in the Rezzed Zone and speak to one of our representatives from Sold Out for the chance to play! We’re aiming to make sure everyone gets a chance to tackle the Telepost, but we anticipate there might be lots of people looking forward to dressing Jeff and Debra up in adorable outfits, so we recommend stopping by ASAP!

What Merch Can I Get?

Ever wanted to take a little kiwi bird with you wherever you go? Well now you can with our adorable KeyWe enamel pin. You can also pick up matching KeyWe keychains. Share one with the Jeff to your Debra, or keep both to yourself, we won’t judge! We’ll be bringing plenty of pins and keychains along with us, but we know this merch is in high demand, so hurry on down while stocks last.

Not Going to EGX?

No problem! We know not everybody will be able to attend, but we don’t think that should mean missing out on the opportunity to play. That’s why we’re going to be setting our Steam demo live for the duration of EGX. Don’t have a co-op buddy? Don’t worry, we now have a brand-new matchmaking channel in the official KeyWe Discord – join today and find a player 2!

We’re very excited to see you all at EGX this year, and we can’t wait to hear what you think of KeyWe first hand!

All our love,

Stonewheat & Sons, Sold Out, and the Bungalow Basin Telepost Office

KeyWe Patch Notes!

Hey there Teleposters, we hope you’re having a great time tackling the Telepost so far. We wanted to say a BIG thank you for all of your support over on the official KeyWe Twitter and Discord channels – we love seeing your wardrobe choices and hearing about your favourite characters and levels.

Whilst kiwis are omnivores and their diet primarily consists of insects, they can’t be expected to run the Telepost and take care of any bugs they spot along the way. Don’t worry, though, that’s where your handy KeyWe development team comes in! Read on for the latest KeyWe patch notes…

Level Fixes

Telegraph Desk Levels

You reported some synchronisation issues with the Telegraph Desk levels. We’ve submitted some safety nets to try and catch these issues!

Transcription Room Levels

We’ve implemented a fix so that the post toaster is a little more forgiving in terms of timing – there’s no such thing as perfect timing, after all! We also fixed an issue with the buckles on the Cassowary bags in the winter levels – we guess the cold weather was making them difficult to fasten!

Electrical Interference

After completing a goal with the "overcharged" mechanic (where your kiwis glow blue and red), the game would not let you progress. We’re pleased to report that this bug has well and truly been zapped!

Bitter Cold

Some of our winter weather mechanics (namely the ice blocks and conveyor belts) weren’t functioning properly in online games. We’ve since fixed this frosty little bug AND we’ve increased the lantern radius to make melting the ice a little bit easier, but we are aware of some other issues with this level that we'll be looking to patch at a later date. If you encounter any problems in the meantime, the best course of action is to return to the main menu and relaunch the level from the calendar.

Lunch Break

We’ve patched in a fix for a known issue where your kiwis can get stuck falling forever (spooky!), but please let us know if you’re still encountering this issue.

An Approaching Storm

This level wasn’t displaying messages properly when the timer was turned off. This has been repaired, and you can now take this level at your own pace again.

Postal Pest Problems

Those pesky mailflies were blocking the crane controls and giving the kiwis a real hard time! We’ve given them a stern talking to, so this shouldn’t be an issue anymore.

Wearables & Collectibles

Lilac Breasted Roller Skin

We know this skin was displaying some rather funky colours. While cool to look at, this has been restored to its former glory.

Z39 Soaring Auk

We’ve fixed this collectible puzzle.

Controller Assignment Functionality

A new feature has been added that allows players to assign controllers and choose their keyboard layout!

  • Players can now choose who uses what controller.
  • Players can choose if player 2 uses the numpad or other keys on the keyboard (if you don’t have a numpad).
  • If you’re using a single controller, the other player can now use the full keyboard layout.

Localisation

  • We put in a fix for an issue where players in Turkey couldn’t play online and have tested this as best as we can without flying to Turkey and testing there!
  • There was also an issue where players who had Windows set to Turkish weren’t able to see certain text characters in the game. This has been repaired!
  • Russian text no longer clips through the ramps in Dropoff Depot levels.
  • Fixed broken Spanish messages in Transcription Room levels.
  • Fixed broken Italian messages in Transcription Room levels.
  • Fixed issues where certain words wouldn’t appear in the winter Telegraph Desk levels when playing in non-English languages.

Other Fixes

  • Improved collision across multiple levels.
  • Fixed issue with swapping kiwi customizations when playing online.
  • Fixed issue in the Wardrobe with kiwi customizations being swapped after new item reveal.
  • Fixed issue where personal best times show up in match results after failing a level.
  • Put in catch-all to unlock progress wearables and award achievements that were earned on Demo accounts.
  • Fixed Summer Postmaster and Fall Postmaster achievements.

We hope these fixes make your KeyWe experience even more enjoyable! If you encounter anything in KeyWe that you think we need to be aware of, please feel free to email customerservice@soldout.uk.com.
