Killsquad Post-Release Roadmap Announced
Hello Bounty Hunters,
Tomorrow is the big day - it’s Killsquad’s full release! This is the result of two years of hard work, so thank you to all our community for all the feedback that has taken us to this moment. All of you, you guys rock. And, of course, our adventure doesn’t stop there: tomorrow is just one step along the Killsquad journey. That's why today we’re happy to share our post-release roadmap, covering everything from now until the end of the year.
There are new modes, skins, events, and more. Our main focus will be the endgame, giving you new modes in the revamped and improved Colosseum. There will be new challenges designed for the most hardcore Bounty Hunters in space. We will also introduce a new weapon and tier, the Legendary Tier. Reserved only for the best. And speaking of the best, we will be introducing competitions based on bounty hunter Leaderboards, so you can see how your rank against other Bounty Hunters and compete in monthly challenges. We will give you more details on each as the time comes. So stay tuned.

Killsquad - One week to go
Welcome Bounty Hunters,
We’re one week away. Wow. That was quite a journey!
Our last Early Access BETA Test and Early Access Tokens Special Event are done. So, we are fully focused on Killsquad’s 1.0 Release, which is happening this 21st of October. The game looks healthy. Reviews look healthy (thanks everyone! We’re on the verge of that 70% overall review score we always wanted!). We have a few awesome content creators who will be streaming the game next weekend. It’s gonna be a week to remember.
But, before we get there, all of us here at Novarama thought that it might be nice to sweeten that waiting time a bit. And there’s no better way to do that than with a small tease of what’s coming after Killsquad’s 1.0 Full Release. That’s right - this is not the end of our plans for the game. In fact, you might say that it’s a new beginning!
With the bonanza that was our last year’s Halloween event, we can now confirm that it’s making a comeback! That’s right, the spooky spectacular Killsquad spectacle is coming this year too. Stay tuned as more details are incoming really soon.
And that’s not all. Killsquad will get a proper end-game: Inferno Mode, Legendary Weapons, and the Impossible and Random Colosseums all drop between now and the new year. We will tell you more about them at length over the coming weeks. But in short, we took in your feedback, we threw in some ideas of our own, and hopefully we came up with a cocktail of hack’n’slash goodness that you’ll enjoy over and over again. As a secret surprise, we want to give Killsquad a competitive edge as well, so get ready. Do you think you’re the best bounty hunter? You’re gonna have to prove your worth against the other bounty hunters from the community, soon.
As some of you may know, Momma and The WAHLA Corp LOVE Xmas. So it’s only fair that we will celebrate it in style too. Get those Xmas jumpers dry cleaned people, as this will get serious.
So yes, rest assured. Next week is gonna be all about the launch. But the team is already working on new stuff. And we feel you’re gonna love it. Expect a full update soon.
Last, but not least, we want to thank you. Thank you for your support, for believing in us and our game, for all your suggestions, and help. Without you, Killsquad would not be the way it is. So once again, thank you! Great journeys require great travel companions, and we couldn’t think of a better crew to cross these long two years, than you guys.

The Killsquad Pre Release Update is here!
In this update we must say goodbye to the BETA VERSION and to the chance to get the exclusive BETA SKINS. Moreover, Early Access tokens leave the game and this implies that the skins that are purchased previously with these tokens, now are going to cost credits and the badge "OUTER REACH PATHFINDER" is no longer available to achieve. However, don't worry, there is still a lot of content and challenges for you Bounty Hunters!
GENERAL
· Added new tips in the loading screen. · Changed mission objective texts at contract "DOORS WIDE SHUT".
BUG FIXING
Crashes:
· Fixed a crash that might occur with a VR widget plugin when the player tries to start the game. · Fixed a crash that might occur to Clients when a "SEED OF THE PLAGUE" dies and there are some players inside the Colosseum portal at contracts "POPULAR REQUEST" and "CLEAN THE MESS". · Fixed a crash related with hit vibration.
Major Issues:
· Fixed a major bug where a player can get the same curse twice in a plague contract. · Fixed a major bug where at contract "THE AURORA RELOCATION" enemies stop spawning in "S.K.Y.F.E.D" battle. · Fixed a major bug where the talisman "FORTUNE STICKS" decreases the amount of used gadgets in the inventory. · Fixed a major bug where the enemies do not attack the player when he stays under "M.A.G.N.U.S" at contract "FOR THE UPRISING".

Our Early Access Tokens Special Event is still on! Right now you can find more Early Access Tokens in chests scattered around the maps. There’s no better feeling than getting more Tokens for your work! Hop in now since the event ends on Friday, 15th of October, at 3:30 PM CEST.
Keep in mind that you can use those Early Access Tokens to buy character skins in the Shop. And if you have any unused Early Access Tokens at your disposal, they will convert to a new shiny badge on the 15th of October.

We are coming with a small, but oh so important, announcement. If you want to get your hands on the unique BETA skins pack, and you haven’t done it yet, this is your LAST CHANCE to do it!
Our very last Killsquad BETA test is on right now! Don’t wait too long though since it ends on Friday, 15th of October. You have only 7 days to take part in it and get your rare skins. After that date, they are gone forever!

Before we wave goodbye, we have one more important thing to point out. Please, make sure you save your game on the Cloud. This is crucial. In case you lose your save, change your PC device, or just anything else, it’s always good to have a backup copy of your save game. If you take a part in our BETA test and get for yourself a skink pack it will be saved only on your local save. If you will lose your save, and with it your BETA skin pack, unfortunately, we will not be able to do anything about it. So please, please make sure you will use the Cloud.

How to store your progress in the Cloud:
By Default, your progress is stored locally on a PC. We highly recommend enabling Steam Cloud to avoid progression loss when switching computers or formatting your PC. To do so, please follow these instructions:
Right Click on the game > properties
It will open a window. In the General Section Check the box at "keep the save game on Steam Cloud" That's it.

How to join the BETA:
Go to your Steam Library and right-click on Killsquad. From there, follow the next steps:

Now you will have the option to select the "beta - Beta Channel" on the beta programs! (if for any reason you can't find the beta program, try restarting Steam).
How to make a report:
Even though it is not necessary to follow all the guidelines, this format would help us to grasp all the necessary information in the shortest amount of time. A summary of the error is a must.

We started our journey with Killsquad around two years ago, and we have to admit, it feels both like yesterday and a long time ago all at the same time. Time flew so fast we can’t believe we are now close to the full release Yet during these two years we’ve also poured ourselves into testing, polishing, adding new content, creating updates, reading your comments and feedback, and fixing the game. It was intensive, but also very rewarding. We feel that as a studio, and people, we’ve grown. We’ve learned a lot along the way and this whole time is an experience that will stay with us for a while. We also want to say a huge thanks to you, our Killsquad community, for all the support, kind words, feedback, comments and reviews on Steam. Thanks to you we feel our work we’ve put into this game was totally worth it.

From the beginning of our Early Access phase, we added more content to the game, new additions, features, improvements, and changes to Killsquad. So if you are still thinking about getting the game, but you didn’t have a chance to do it just yet, now it’s a good time before the price increases. We have a quick, but very important Public Service Announcement to make.
Now that Killsquad is approaching its full 1.0 release, any unused Early Access Tokens you have will convert to a new shiny badge! The higher the number of unspent Tokens you have, the higher tier badge you will receive once Killsquad hits the 1.0 release.
Also, keep in mind that you can use your Early Access Tokens to spend at the Shop and buy those sweet, sweet character skins. These skins will be available after Early Access ends, but at a higher price and for Credits.
Now you might be asking yourself “well, I don’t have enough points to buy that skin that I want and to have that higher tier badge - what do I do Novarama?!?”. Very good question. With that in mind, you can now find more Early Access Tokens in chests scattered around the maps.

We've added Razer Chroma and Steelseries PrimSync Support to the game. Now your RGB keyboard and mouse will give you visual feedback on what's happening in the game!

Welcome to the Killsquad Pre Release Update! This is our last step on our journey through Early Access. We've focused on polish and a few on-demand mechanics as requested by you. Of course, being part of our Early Access community, you guys get to enjoy it first.
Here’s a summary of what’s included in this update:
"Recovery" has been added to the game by popular demand, "Recovery" is a new mechanic where after being knocked back you can get up back into the fight faster, so you can avoid those nasty moments of knockback after knockback. This short opportunity to get back up by reacting at the right moment will help you keep the frenzy of the battle!
The economy of the game has been tweaked as well, balancing a bit the importance of the shop, leaning more towards contract rewards with the new "ambush chest". Inside of them you can find and earn that sweet rare loot. We also balanced the rewards for some contracts to smooth the progression throughout all the difficulties!
Single-player balance! All contracts from Recruit, Veteran and Plague contracts received a balance on time and difficulties. Now the progression curve should be a lot smoother. But don't worry, there are still some more harsh contracts for those seeking greater challenges!
WASTELAND 7A received its last flavour asset pack, with the laboratory theme now added to the map, giving it a unique identity to the world as a post-nuclear planet!
Also, there’s a lot more in there, such as polishing, more balance and bug fixing, a lot of bug fixing, and more bug fixing!
The update is now ready for you to download & enjoy. Please let us know your thoughts below. Finally, two last-minute requests:

Killsquad pre release Update v0.20.9.3
RECOVERY
By popular demand, we've added a Recovery mechanic to the game. You have a small window of opportunity to get up back into the fight!
General
· Added the new Recovery mechanic. to use it, press the "Dash" key/button (Space bar by default with a keyboard), as soon as your character touches the floor when receiving a knockback. Your character will recover and it won't consume any Dash charge.
When the character is knocked back has a chance to get back up quickly:
Keep in mind that the window of opportunity is small (as shown with a different color in the next image), less than a second, so you will need to time it well and get skilled to be able to perform the Recovery.
· Added a Recovery animation for Troy. · Added a Recovery animation for Kosmo. · Added a Recovery animation for Cass. · Added a Recovery animation for Zero. · Added a Recovery animation for Ekaar.
ECONOMY TWEAKS
The economy of the game has been tweaked, with intentions of leaning more towards contract rewards than a shop buy item rush, specially players without too many resources, with the new "ambush chest" where you can earn rare loot and balancing the rewards for some contracts to smooth the progression through all difficulties to avoid needing grinding in certain parts of the contract progression.
General
· Added the new "Ambush Chest" mechanic. You can find special chests inside a contract, when opened you will face an ambush but not without reward: a rare piece of equipment! · Modified all recruit rewards, now the contracts rewards the player with two pieces of equipment at the end of it. · Modified the rewards at the loot chests from Veteran Contracts, now they can drop gadgets as well.
SINGLE PLAYER BALANCE
The map received a rework to give a more organic aesthetics to the planet, giving the map a more unique identity with a new biome. The intention is to make the player feel that he's walking over a living creature.
Recruit
· Knockin' On Heavens Door: Reduced the quantity of Medium enemies and increased the lifedrop drop chance. · Doors Wide Shut: Augmented the percentage of enemies at the beginning of the contract by 20% · Overprotection: Reduced the damage for the Enraged Myr. Only for this contract. · The Dirty Work: The shield of the vehicle is augmented from 20000 to 25000. · Hunted Hunter: Added a widget to the traps to better help players escape it. · Crazy About Jade: The duration of the first Jade extraction reduced by 25 seconds. Now a vendor will always spawn between the first and second Jade Extraction. · Pest Control: You win more XP during the contrat to reach faster the 10th level. · A Hard Nut To Crack: Reduced the quantity of enemies at the firsts possible paths and augmented the XP gain. · Hail To The Queen: Now you always will find 2 elite enemies, one at the begining and one at the end. · Codename Guerrilla: Augmented the lifedrop drop chance. · Augmented the lifedrop chance when you are at 10% and 20% of you HP to all recruit contracts.
Veteran
· Arachnophilia?: Is now a vector 90 contract and the rewards are from vector 100. · Cleaning is my thing: Is now a vector 90 contract and the rewards are from vector 100. · My humble abode: Is now a vector 90 contract and the rewards are from vector 100. · The profane: Is now a vector 100 contract and the rewards are from vector 110.
Plague
· Plague Doors Wide Shut: Is now a vector 80 contract and the rewards are from vector 90. · Plague A Hard Nut To Crack: Is now a vector 80 contract and the rewards are from vector 90. · Plague Crazy About Jade: Is now a vector 80 contract and the rewards are from vector 90. · Plague Hunted Hunter: Is now a vector 90 contract and the rewards are from vector 100. · Plague Codename Guerrilla:Is now a vector 90 contract and the rewards are from vector 100.
General
· Added particles to different mechanics such as the Vampiric Link to further increase the feedback to the player. · Added a 3D UI to the trap at "HUNTED HUNTER" to further increase the feedback to the player. · Added a warning to the infinite wave at "POPULAR REQUEST" contract to further increase the feedback to the player. · Added more minor changes and tweaks to balance some segments of contracts. · Now you can have only 2 lifedrops at the floor at the same time, a third will not spawn until you use the others.
WASTELAND 7A FLAVOR PACK 2
The map recieved it's last flavor asset pack, the laboratory theme is added to the world with a total of a new 125 assets contributing to the feeling of a desolate planet.

· Added destructible assets to all planets.
