Due to popular demand of having the end game be less grindy I've changed the biomass amplifier as follows:


  • greatly decreased upgrade cost (max. level is now 20T, down from 45T)
  • increased the amplifier's output boost by 20% per level (was 10%)

Fix: in-game achievement values

This update fixes another issue with the "Woman in the High Castle" achievement - this time it's the in-game tracking as it was still using the old, pre-nerf values.

Hotfix: The Woman in the High Castle achievement

I got reports that the Woman in the High Castle achievement didn't seem to track properly. After investigating the issue I found out that while the tracking was working fine the achievement on the Steam backend used a different value than it had in-game (500k in-game, 1 million on Steam).

This issue has now been resolved. A client patch is not needed.

Hotfix: Upgrade button for Biomass Amplifier

Last hotfix I already attempted to fix the upgrade button for the Biomass Amplifier appearing too early but it had the opposite effect as now it didn't appear at all. This update should finally fix this once and for all. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This update fixes a bug causing the Magic Biomass Amplifier to become upgradeable before hitting 50% castle donations.

We're leaving Early Access today!

One thing however needed to be addressed - the donation values of several items were just too low so I've rebalanced them all. Should go much quicker now!

0.9 EA Hotfix 1

A hotfix has been deployed fixing the following issues:


  • fixed an issue causing the Lumberjack's campfire to ignore the SFX volume slider
  • fixed an issue causing some of the Queen's dialogue to appear every time the player started the game
  • fixed a serious issue causing an exception when talents were reset which subsequently led to no Gemstones being refunded
  • reimplemented Steam stat tracking. Before, stats were sent to Steam whenever they changed, which was a bad idea because Steam doesn't like that. Now, they only get sent on game start and then every 120 seconds after that. This should make stat tracking much more reliable. If the player quits the game before the stats are uploaded they get cached and uploaded on the next game start.

A note on the update size: with the last build I made the mistake to have Unity use the maximum available compression. While this caused the game to become much smaller on disk it also meant the Steam download would be the entire game on every update. This wasn't what I intended to happen so the change has been reverted. This however means you'll have to download the entire game again but only this once. I apologize for any issues this may have caused.
