Weekly Update + Important Information - V.0.2.16

Hello there everyone , we believe that wiping the officials servers is the best course of action for both players and our dev team. It has been three months since the last wipe and many things have changed.

The official servers seem to be running in a low capacity and performance. This is compared to private servers and our test servers which are running well with KoA.

We would like to match that experience for new players, but also allow veteran players a lag free server. With that being said certain things require us to wipe to implement them as well;

-Character customization (Body Size, Beard Colors, Hair Colors).
-New foliage with extra resources.
-New world bridges.
-New Cave's (PvP) & Small villages to build in (RP).
-Fixing of floating island loot & shrines .
-New player based skills.
-One tool to rule them all (Hatchet + Pick + Hammer + Torch).
-More Server admin tools (Give owners the ability to kick , ban , etc).

Depending on how fast we implement and test these new changes the wipe would occur within 2 weeks.

-Added a loading bar for when game first starts up so players aren't confused if its a screenshot slide show or a game.
-Added guild/group permission to sign labels.
-Added ability to save where your camera was so you don't have to constantly zoom in or out when logging in.
-Added character height/body size scaler in character customization.
-Added UI sliders to CO-OP and single player games to adjust game settings (XPRate,HarvestRate,etc).
-Added elemental projectiles to elementals on the floating islands.
-Added spiders on floating islands to have a special attack.
-Added projectiles to scorpions on floating island.
-Added projectile attack to the treants on the floating island.
-Added projectile attack to the mushrooms on the floating island.
-Added new sanctum portal system to game. In your faction city find a large book to enter the sanctum the human is where the king is , dryad is in middle of market , and savage by the alchemist.

-Changed game to not be compressed anymore for faster loading times on older PC's and PC's that aren't using an SSD. Will now use more space on your disk.
-Changed faction portal area's from having rocks to having a nice looking teleporting platform.

-Disabled the farm animal spawn buildings(Could be causing server issues due to the spawner inside).

-Fixed disassembler having wrong description again hehe.
-Fixed goblin trader giving large amount of XP on death.
-Fixed sign issues (Maybe)
-Fixed a number of abilities not working as intended due to replication issues.
-Fixed an issue where a player could equip max gear without meeting the level requirement.
-Fixed XP having decimals and looking like larger numbers then they were.
-Fixed camera going through object when it was zoomed out.
-Fixed fireball sounds across the map.
-Fixed T5 meteor ability for summoning having wrong icon.
-Fixed some customization errors found in server log.
-Fixed UI scaler setting not working in game.
-Fixed some save issues.
-Fixed Unique Hammer T2 having an effect that clouds the screen.
-Fixed issues with reaper scythe not scaling past T1
-Fixed sand elementals not attacking.
-Fixed friendly Fire on Mobs projectiles.
-Fixed NPCs of same faction fighting themselves.
-Fixed lighting elementals not attacking.
-Fixed ability for players to exploit game by entering a negative number in trader menu and crafting menu. It now forces the number to be 1 or greater.
-Fixed G key not always putting summons back to player.

-Updated main menu texture to match middle zone.

-Removed portal in center to access floating island and instead is entered through the sanctum.

-Tweaked reaper scythe projectile to resemble a soul.
-Tweaked trees to be climbable.
-Tweaked rocks to be climbable.
-Tweaked wings to be 10% smaller got feedback they may be too large now.
-Tweaked starting summons to be 30% better.
-Tweaked save load system to try and allow for DLC's to save and load.(Maybe)
-Tweaked armor scrap stack size from 20 to 50.
-Tweaked all Floating Island dungeon bosses to have special attacks from their lower counterparts.
-Tweaked current paths to look less bland.
-Tweaked hidden veggie level to be easier to find ?? With new sanctum and veggie level there is two different locations to warp to in each faction.

-Worked with GPortal to add missing settings for private server hosters.

Weekly Update - V.0.2.15

-Added UI scaler Back into game with save load.
-Added Show helm to save state of it hiding or not.
-Added Show Cape to save state of it hiding or not.
-Added DLC wing choice to save when selected.
-Added DLC orb choice to save when selected.
-Added when selecting a new orb to auto turn on the light.
-Added ability to input exact amounts in the trade list and crafting list. Click on the one and you can delete and enter your own amount to update if you don't wanna use the Plus's.
-Added ability to search in a loot container for an item or player inventory.
-Added new T2 disassembler with increased space & speed.
-Added a deposit box to use for giving & receiving goods ( placed outside your house ).
-Added a new chest Elder's Vault that can be purchased at the unique vendors for a big price.
-Added ability to craft a sign in the work benches to label anything with the sign. (Write a greeting message or something not so nice :p)
-Added ability to change a chests name with shift + e.

-Fixed clay recipe giving back empty flask.
-Fixed one of the potion recipes require less components then its counter parts.
-Fixed missing collision on the eggplant figurine.
-Fixed one the of the altar stairs in the middle to be able to walk up them.
-Fixed Imps hitting harder then intended.
-Fixed minimap turning completely all the time.
-Fixed T4 gems being T3 gems in the crafting stations.
-Fixed disassembler description.
-Fixed floating island lake being misplaced.
-Fixed some collisions on the floating island.
-Fixed rapidshot pulling higher level arrows and using them in the slot.
-Fixed piercing shot pulling higher level arrows and using them in the slot.
-Fixed summons to not all share a tier cooldown rather its classified by types.
-Fixed goblin merchant description.
-Fixed dragon summons costing too much mana.
-Fixed undead knights costing too much mana.
-Fixed veggie summons costing too little mana.
-Fixed Floating Island Summons having way too large of a health pool.
-Fixed UI tooltip not showing relics are an equipment type.
-Fixed UI tooltip to include what type of weapon it is. (Hard to know on named weapons)
-Fixed issue of missing crafting tags when it came to level 20-30 crafting professions (Maybe).
-Fixed FL cave steps not being able to walk up them.
-Fixed unique holy staff t2 having wrong mats for repairing.
-Fixed FL summons being jittery due to scaling.
-Fixed blood golem summon summoning an iron golem.
-Fixed level requirement text not functioning properly in the UI.
-Increased amount of dragon horn that drops each kill.
-Increased stack size of horns from 5 to 10.

-Tweaked crafting xp baseline to be doubled due to heavy grinding.
-Tweaked strength to .5 damage per point.
-Tweaked crit and crit chance back to old setting it was due to mob difficulty.
-Tweaked DLC wings to be 25% larger.
-Tweaked music sounds to be louder but can be adjusted via the music slider.
-Tweaked AI back to EQS to see if they get smarter.

Hot fix - V.0.2.14.7

-Fixed a shader issue causing crashes on low settings.
-Fixed ice dungeon portal bringing you to your death in the middle.

1 Year of KoA! Double XP Update - V.0.2.14

-Added collision to the well. ( even tho its worthless hehe ).
-Added visual energy cost for Arrows/Bolts on item.
-Added a Starter gathering buff. Get + 5 woodcutting damage and +2 mining damage from finishing a conversation with Osimodius for 30 minutes. Can continue to get buff from talking to Osimodius.
-Added all stone tier weapons to starter package. This is due to Mobs now dropping any plethora of weapons so a player can start using what they want earlier.

-Fixed crossbows not requiring energy to fire and not consuming energy on shots.
-Fixed DM for the iron node to match the new material.
-Fixed Holy/Lighting/Summoning staffs ball spells to work in bottlenecked servers.
-Fixed a spawn error with player.
-Fixed razor bloom levels for crafting.

-Increased start player slots by 12. Went from 36 to 48.

-Nerfed viper Mob damage.
-Nerfed Floating Island and Golem damage being too high.

-Removed front of cart cube so that it didn't interfere with looting, move camera to access cart of drop it now.
-Removed dust effect from feet.
-Removed dust particle when hitting trees.

-Tweaked cost color to be blue for mana, red for health, and green for energy.
-Tweaked G key to also teleport active summons back to the player.
-Tweaked crossbows to reload a tad faster.
-Tweaked Floating Island normal mob HP from 5000 to 4000 due to player feedback.
-Tweaked faction Shrines to be more rewarding for players to collect went from +5 of a stat to +20 of a stat for 2 hours.

In the spirit of the holiday we present you with 3 new DLC's that can be purchased in the store , also unlocking the "Floating Island" with 2 new dungeons; Lightning & Holy.

More content will be become available in the upcoming months.

-Added new emote system input by pressing (K) it will prompt a new widget where you can choose from default or DLC emotes available for purchase. Check keybinds to make sure its allocated.
-Added ability to "scan for foliage" by pressing (Q) this will highlight all collectables in a frustum in front of you for a small duration (good for beginners and night time use). Check keybinds to make sure its allocated.
-Added special music & decorations in towns for Christmas event.
-Added special boss "Santa, the not so merry" that will spawn in the altars around the map during the night time!
-Added special items that can only be found on by killing Santa, the not so merry.
-Added " 54 Achievements" to the game a couple exploration one's to begin your journey, more to come! Also while getting achievement you gain experience making it a nice way to level earlier on.

-Added new vendor that sells XP books for player, profession and gathering XP ( in each ports ).
-Added multiple new POI's that award players XP and achievements.
-Added melee damage dampening to new multi-hitting. Player will now do 100% damage to the primary target, but then do 20% to 40% to other targets within the melee AoE swing.
-Added a chance for the bloodsidian golem boss to spawn in the middle altars (100% chance of dropping t4 weapon bench).
-Added wooden staffs to spell vendor to be sold.

-Fixed starting staff projectile sounds being broadcast to everyone.
-Fixed bow abilities not using ammo for the abilities. Now the abilities to check and see if you have ammo equipped. No more infinite ammo sorry!
-Fixed item tooltip having a random space that wouldn't go away. Sorry champions who can't stand stuff like that!
-Fixed 2h weapons, Fist weapons, and Daggers not having their correct attack ranges. Everything was set at 200 when 2handers needed to be 250 and fists needed to be 150.
-Fixed bone, chitin, and ancient shields adding attack range to players which made it op because it would double a players attack range to roughly 400 versus a 2h which is 250.
-Fixed bone, chitin, and ancient shields being better than most shield besides t4. Tweaked their block chance to reflect other shields, and change the damage added to blunt armor instead.
-Fixed tooltip text being differant sizes.
-Fixed up tooltip issue with color not matching.
-Fixed UI to say holy healing instead of holy damage.
-Fixed when failing a block that there was no damaged received because everything was considered a successful block.
-Fixed melee attack ranges to actually reflect the attack range of the weapon.
-Fixed not being able to hit small creatures in caves with most weapons.
-Fixed shrines missing t4 and t5 spells for mage professions.
-Fixed the lighting staff unique buff.
-Fixed lots of mobs still having health regen...
-Fixed mobs having a bug in their damage code causing them to do more damage than intended.

-Removed H and Shift H input keys due to the hide helm/hide cape functions now being in the UI. Press (I) to find the cosmetic tab and change this!
-Removed the Z camera switcher function due to it being out of date for KoA. We now have a camera that can turn around the character and zoom in and out.
-Removed ability for mouse wheel to scroll through the hotbar until it is imroved with hotbar dual wielding.

-Reworked blocking to only break holding the shield up when the block was unsuccessful versus all the time.
-Reworked blocking costs to make shield blocking now cost -10 energy instead of 5.
-Reworked melee combat to allow for multi-hitting. Fist weapons and daggers will only ever hit one target. Spears, Scythes, Swords, Maces, and Axes have a chance to hit multiple targets. While 2h Swords, 2h Maces, and 2h Axes are most likely to hit multiple targets.

-Tweaked all current AI xp values to benefit the player more.
-Tweaked wolf/bear to be weaker as starter mobs.
-Tweaked Auto run keybind to num / instead of q.
-Tweaked some starting animals to be neutral for a better starting experience.
-Tweaked the look of main menu and pause menu to match in-game UI.
-Tweaked dragon loot too drop 2 horns instead of 1.
-Tweaked price of T2 unique weapons.
-Tweaked XP values for crafting the goblin trader to be more rewarding.
-Tweaked boss golems HP, and normal golems hp/damage.
-Tweaked Item Required level tooltip text. When a player meets the required level it will change green instead of staying red.
-Tweaked tool tip text order to put repairing on the bottom because its not always there, and also change the color of some of the UI.
-Tweaked the Enchanting required level for all T2 uniques.
-Tweaked when failing a block to only receive 50% damage to reward players for trying to block versus not blocking.
-Tweaked block chance to cap out at 95% chance instead of being able to get to 100%. In PVP situations always having block could break the game.
-Tweaked combustion spell to max out at 15% crit chance instead of 30%.
-Tweaked Magic AoE to hurt targets in a wider radius than before.
-Tweaked campfire & torches to now be able to use all fuel types (Foliage, Branch, Wood, Coal, Oil).
-Tweaked how ball spells worked to hopefully work on the server better.
-Tweaked the chance of the T4 bench to drop off the bloodsidian golems found in the middle of the map caves.
-Tweaked strength to go from .25 damage per point to .2 damage per point.
-Tweaked crit damage per agility point from 1% to .5%.
-Tweaked crit chance per luck point from .5% to .25%.
-Tweaked UI Mana color from Purple to blue after player inputs.
-Tweaked potion cooldown from 25 to 20.-Tweaked all unique weapon buffs to not be able to overlap anymore.
-Tweaked rapid shot at higher tiers to have a longer cooldown.
-Tweaked fiber robe to be named fiber vest.
-Tweaked starting stats from default .25 hp regen to 1 hp regen. This will help players in the start to regen health in combat. Make sure to use the (X) key to sit down and gain x3 regen.
