King's League II - The Quality Update 1.2 is live!
The Quality Update brings many requested features and improvements, including changes to Unit Management, simplified menu navigation, Class and Dungeon Boss balancing, and more.
To sum it up, King's League II is now more challenging, requiring more careful resource management. It is also easier to navigate menus and manage your team now!
Of course, this is not the end! We will continue to update and improve the game's balancing and interactions, all to make it a more fun experience for you.
Save and switch between different team formations!
Compare and dismiss units in the new Unit List!
Equip new items right after buying them in the Market!
Track your Guild Perk bonuses more easily!
We are listening, so keep giving us your feedback on the Steam Discussions and our Discord! Even if I do not respond to them, I personally read them all and note them down for future considerations. So please do not be shy and reach out to us with your thoughts!
So, what's next?
In the coming update, you will be able to change the difficulty of Story Mode games. You can play it on Casual to enjoy the story, or get on Expert to give Maxwell and yourself an extreme challenge! We are also experimenting with some ways for you to control the game's speed. If we can get it working, you will be able to choose when the game goes fast or slow on the fly.
There are a lot of small changes and improvements that we would like to make, a lot of which will be in the next update. Once these are live, we will be turning our focus on a major update that includes new features and content.
Once again, I thank you for playing King’s League II! League on!
The Quality Update brings many requested features and improvements, including changes to Unit Management, simplified menu navigation, Class and Dungeon Boss balancing, and more.
Unit Management has been reworked to make deployment your units easier, especially with large teams. You can save and switch between squads of units easily as well as compare all of your units in a list. You can also dismiss your units now!
Added squad saving and switching, quickening the selection of units for deployment.
Added Unit List to quickly compare units, equip items and dismiss unwanted units.
Improved the unit filter to make finding units easier.
Unit Management is now accessible on the Main screen (Menu screen for controllers).
Other interfaces have also been improved to simplify navigating through them. Menus like Recruitment and Quests are now easier to navigate, while the Market makes it easy to equip newly bought items.
Simplified Recruitments to quicken navigation.
Moved the "Cancel Training" button to avoid misclicks while training.
Made Guilds clickable in Reputation, acting as shortcuts to their respective Perks pages.
Added a choice to equip an item to a unit when purchasing them in the Market.
Added Tool-tips while hovering over accessible locations on the Map.
Added a display in Team Profile that shows what Emblems are equipped in Classic Mode.
It's frustrating when the game restricts you or doesn't do a good job explaining something, so we're working on these issues. Giving you a more freedom to use your time in Classic Mode will help you get those high ranks, while certain elements are now easier to see and understand.
Added ticking sound effects before a League battle is about to start.
Removed some restrictions from the "7 Days Remaining" period in Classic Mode.
Made the Resource Gain animation end more quickly.
Brightened the colour of different texts and buttons to make them stand out more.
Added new Tutorials about Unit Management, Class Info and Pausing.
There is a huge batch of balancing changes this time around, all aimed at improving the overall experience of the game. Classic Mode is going to be more challenging, but rare units are now better and easier to find, making them all the better to look out for.
Rebalanced Quest difficulty and Reputation gain to improve early progression.
Rebalanced the overall difficulty of Classic Mode to make playthroughs more challenging.
Increased the chances of finding rare units and improved the stats of rare units.
Many classes have been worked on to emphasize their individual strengths and weaknesses. We also don't want players beating Dungeon Bosses with their one lone ranged unit in the back. To promote diverse strategies, we've made Bosses do less damage, take more damage, and have improved skills that can hit everyone (including that lone ranged unit in the back).
Tweaked damage and healing efficiency across many base classes.
Rebalanced the Dungeon Bosses to do less damage and have more health.
Increased the range of a skill to hit the whole battlefield for the Dungeon Boss Captain Mammon.
Improved the AI for the Dungeon Boss Kuregon with more predictable attack patterns.
Postal Charge and Blitz Charge will no longer push the Dungeon Boss Kuregon.
So, what do you think?
There are many more updates on the horizon, so don't stop giving us your feedback! We really appreciate your thoughts, and we want to thank you for playing King's League II!
I humbly thank you for playing King’s League II!
To the veteran players who have played the older King’s League games, welcome back! To the new players, welcome to the League! I hope that you all have some good times playing the game.
First off, we have to apologise for the launch hiccups and the game's imperfections. We want you, the players, to know that we are committed to making King’s League II the best game in the King’s League series.
We are listening to you. We have gone through all the feedback you have sent us. If you write us one, I thank you for your time and effort to help us improve the game!
As such, we have a plan for our next major update: the Quality Update - Version 1.2. Coming sometime this December, we aim to improve different parts of the game. King’s League II is a simulation strategy game where your main interactions with the game include navigating through menus. By improving these menus, we believe that it will improve your experiences significantly.
Improvements include:
The ability to dismiss fighters.
Making Unit Selection remember your latest team setups.
Increasing the speeds for 2x and 3x speed options.
Quickened UI animations for rewards and more.
Removing the 7-Day Limit from Classic Mode, adding reminders instead.
Better Balancing to add more challenge where needed.
Many Quality of Life updates for Challenges, Quests, Training, Armoury and more.
We will be focusing on these improvements over the next month. If you have additional feedback, keep them coming! We would love to listen to what you have to say, all in our efforts to make King’s League II a better game.
And we won't stop there! Updates will continue to roll out over the next year or so, including new characters, classes, random events, story campaigns and more! I will share more with you after we release the Quality Update - Version 1.2.
Once again, thank you so much for supporting us. League on!
