What’s new with our game?
New game mode - Elimination
Your goal in the Elimination game mode is to destroy the enemy team’s base and to capture and hold objectives that are identified as A, B, and C on the map. In order to secure a victory, you must gain 1500 tickets for your team and place the enemy in a “faltering” state where they can no longer respawn. After every enemy player has been eliminated, your team is victorious. An alternative way to victory is to destroy the enemy team’s base.
You take control of the objectives by entering their capture radius. Upon capturing the objective your team receives a flat amount of points that are removed from the team upon losing the objective. While holding the objective your team continuously receives resources and when the capture points timer goes down to zero the team that owns the objective at that time receives tickets and resources.
New heroes
We have introduced 6 new heroes to Kingshunt and that means our current roster totals 12 heroes, with more in the pipeline. We look forward to hearing your feedback on these new additions to our roster as all heroes’ kits, roles and balance are still very much work in progress.
Rune system rework
We have reworked the old rune system where players would purchase runes through a menu in the middle of a game as they accumulated rune points over time. Our new system is more streamlined and requires less input in the middle of a game, allowing players to focus on gameplay instead of rune menus.
Players can now create five separate rune loadouts in the game's main menu and pick the one that suits their playstyle when they choose their hero just before the match starts. During the match players will gain a total of 15 rune points that they can divide among 3 different rune trees. Rune points are allocated simply by pressing Control + 1, 2 or 3 depending on which tree you are trying to spend rune points in.
Kingshunt has also seen many other improvements in almost every aspect. Come test it out for yourself on April 29th!

Kingshunt Retrospect
Happy new year Kingshunt Community!
It’s a new exciting year ahead! The perfect time to sit back and take a good look at the past year, to celebrate everything nice and important that happened to us over these last twelve months. We have made incredible progress and learned much since we started this journey together with all of you. 2021 was a busy year for the Kingshunt team and we accomplished multiple big wins for Vaki Games and Kingshunt.
Development Stage
2021 was the year we fully opened for playtesting, and so many important things happened to Kingshunt. Your thoughts and ideas on what you would like to see continue to help us shape Kingshunt into the game we're developing today.
We were getting ready to launch Kingshunt early access in fall 2021, but we saw that we needed to put more time into the game to make it a more polished experience and satisfy your needs. We signed a publishing deal with A-List Games which enabled us to create even more content and as well marketing efforts for the title.
In-Game Changes
Over the course of 2021, Kingshunt stayed true to itself, yet also got bigger, deeper, and more diverse. We reworked the game mode and utilities almost from scratch. This also made it possible for us to introduce a new symmetric game mode focused on more competitive playstyles. Utilities are now the same for both sides and you can customize your loadouts. Our early tests have already shown its FUN.
We can’t wait to show you these changes and get your feedback on them, in upcoming playtests. More details on our plans for a playtest coming soon!
We’ve said it before and we’ll carry on saying it - THANK YOU. To all of you who joined in, we simply can’t do this without you and all your awesome feedback which has gone toward the ongoing development of Kingshunt.
