Spooktober map returns

October is here and that means Halloween is around the corner. The Halloween themed map has returned for fall.

Reminder to all you ghouls and goblins that you can join the discord or subreddit to make feature requests and submit bugs. Helps me know what to prioritize.

Firewall hot fix

Hello, still alive.

Small hotfix this time for Praxeria, firewall no longer blocks projectiles and the radial skill menu has been sized better so the dead spot when hovering over the spell categories is less of a problem.

I am working on some other undisclosed projects right now so development on KBM has slowed. However, if you hop in the discord and report a bug or request a feature I will gladly do that for you rather quick-like. Ya nomsayin'? Ya herd? There's probably like 2 people who read these so shout out to you.

Player hosted horde mode

Yo.

You can now play horde mode with a friend via player hosted servers. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed but it is late and you have no idea what I went through to figure out what was breaking the project this month.

Anyway the next update will probably be more little fixes and improvements such as being able to revive your teammates, fixing wall climb on clients, maybe some improved ai. Ok I'm going to bed.

Horde Mode has been added

Hola mis amores,

a basic horde mode has been added. Fight off never-ending waves of enemies that grow in number until you either fall or your computer crashes! They get faster and have more health each level for the first few levels.

Two things I want to add for this mode: Seidre (boss type witch queen) whom I've already made the model for... and co-op mode. The question is whether Seidre should be a 1v1 situation and how good should her AI be... or should multiple copies of her spawn... maybe every set interval of levels she'll spawn again but stronger idk.

Also there were bug fixes. Always fixing bugs. I'd tell you what I'll be working on next but last time I did that I got sick so this time it will be a m Y s T e R y... but co-op and something else.

Early Access Patch 1.02 - Radial skill menu and more controller support!

Hello loves,

The in-game skill menu has been replaced by a radial skill menu that can more easily be used by those who prefer to play with controllers. This wasn't a planned feature... I just couldn't figure out how to get the icon widgets in the skill menu to get and stay focused in-game. To the point that after many, many hours and failed attempts/workarounds I decided to just replace the menu entirely. As they say, sometimes the obstacle is the way.

I'm hoping that it works with steam decks.

So yeah, next focus will be the horde wave mode, which I will be seeing if I can incorporate co-op, most likely can as player hosted matches are already set up. I hope to get this feature out to you all, at least in it's first basic form, next week.

Early access soft launch - patch 01 - The joystick fix

Hello loves,

Brian here, fixed a couple bugs and made some improvements for todays patch. The right joystick was firing skill slot 4, somehow it ended up being in the keybind map. There have been some minor improvements to the on screen keyboard for those playing with a controller. Also You can now select loadouts in the lobby.

It seems that the xp bar is not updating after a match so that's on the bug list for sure. I plan on adding glyphs to the skill bar for players who like to use controllers so they can better understand the gamepad layout.
