FAQ
Will there be digital keys offered for other platforms (namely the Nintendo Switch)?
I'm working with my publisher to see if I can offer Switch keys, but in all likelihood I won't have a definitive answer until Absinthia is finished. Unfortunately, the answer at this time is "I don't know". My publisher is handling the console porting and publishing, so whether or not I can obtain console keys is entirely up to them.
Are there be any physical rewards?
Nope, not this time! For context, the physical rewards offered with the Knight Bewitched campaign were a total wash (I actually lost money from them, and they were a huge time sink!)
Is Absinthia a sequel?
Absinthia takes place some time after the events and features some characters from my previous game Celestial Hearts. That said, Absinthia's story was written to stand alone, so you don't need to play Knight Bewitched or Celestial Hearts first to enjoy the story.
Is this game SFW?
Yes. The story features sapphic/yuri elements, but there is no nudity/NSFW content.
If you have any further questions, feel free to comment here or on the Kickstarter page itself! Once again, here is a link to the Kickstarter. See you there, and have a great week!
It's always been a dream of mine to have one of my games featured on consoles. It's finally happening: Absinthia will be ported to the Nintendo Switch!
The porting and publishing will be handled by Ratalaika Games. That's about all the info I have on this for now - I'm not 100% sure yet if Absinthia will be ported to PS4/5 or XBox, or if I'll be able to provide digital keys for any console. I'll try to have this information sorted out before the Kickstarter launch.
Kickstarter Preview
Sometime around May 23, I'll share a backers-only update with a preview of the Absinthia Kickstarter page. This will give you a chance to look over the content and rewards and make any suggestions.
Knight Bewitched news and Absinthia Kickstarter + demo
Hello everyone!
I wanted to take an opportunity to share a few fun tidbits about Knight Bewitched followed by some news for my upcoming title Absinthia.
First, Knight Bewitched is coming up on its 4-year anniversary! Originally released on April 18, 2018, Knight Bewitched was my 2nd official release. As most of you (should) know, I updated Knight Bewitched to the Enhanced Edition in August of last year, completely overhauling the game with new content, features and a much needed dialogue pass.
To date, Knight Bewitched has sold about 5,800 copies on Steam. With Steam key activations, that number goes up to 9,700. Adding in purchases from other sites like Itch.io, Aldorlea.org and the Google Play store, I'm guessing the total number of copies sold rests somewhere around 15,000!
Absinthia
With that out of the way, let's talk about our upcoming title Absinthia! Make sure to stop by the Steam page and wishlist it! The algorithm demands it!
A demo for Absinthia is available and can be downloaded from the game's store page!
A crowdfunding campaign for Absinthia will launch in mid-late April and run through May. If successful, we're looking at a release date of January 2023. Feel free to follow it so you'll be notified when the campaign goes live!
Similar to our campaigns for Celestial Hearts and Knight Bewitched: Enhanced Edition, we're crowdfunding to cover the cost of assets. The artwork is being done by various talented pixel artists, while Jazz Stewart is making a return from the Enhanced Edition for the original soundtrack.
We're looking to raise about $23,000. This is significantly more than our previous campaigns - but with a higher funding goal comes better rewards, such as:
-Digital keys, OST, desktop wallpapers and credits -Digital keys for Knight Bewitched and Celestial Hearts -Early Access -Leaving your own message in an object in-game -Having your own NPC complete with name and dialogue -Designing your own legendary weapon, enemy, boss, or your own quest!
If you have any questions about Knight Bewitched or Absinthia, feel free to ask here or DM me on Twitter.
Have a great week and stay safe!

Lastly, the next title in the Knights of Ambrose Saga, Absinthia, has a Steam page! Don't forget to add it to your wishlist and help keep the algorithm monster fed!
Have a great week!
Announcing Absinthia
A tale of broken hearts and mending souls...
(If you're wondering, "Wait, wasn't it called Absinthe?", it was, but we changed it...just in case)
Absinthia is the next title taking place in the world of Ambrose and the first title being developed under the newly-formed Team Bewitched, consisting of myself, Lilliana "Ginal" Young as co-writer and creative consultant, composer Jazz Stewart and cover artist Rae Stilwell.
As with my other titles, Absinthia is being developed as a stand-alone game; however, it also serves as a sequel, taking place ~1 year after the events of and featuring some characters from Celestial Hearts.
More screenshots and details on the story and features can be found on its Steam page!
A demo for Absinthia will be available soon (hopefully within the next few weeks!).
A Kickstarter campaign will launch around May. Right now we're looking to secure ~$22,000 to go toward funding graphics and music. While the financial goal for Absinthia is much higher than my previous titles, the campaign will also feature some rewards not seen in my previous campaigns, such as the options to have your own NPC or design your own weapon, enemy, boss, quest, or even an entire dungeon!
(Everything in that last paragraph is subject to change!)
As always, you can follow me on Twitter for progress updates. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask here or email me (jkweath (@) gmail.com).
See you soon!
2-11-2022 Small Patch
Just a few small updates!
-Updated statue for Legends of Astravia to announce the upcoming demo and Steam page -Updated Tribulation statue to reflect that it is no longer in development (best of luck to you Desdemona! Feel free to reach out to me if you ever return!) -Soothing Mist now revives allies as originally intended -Fixed dialogue in 2nd fight with Alduin
If you have any issues with this update, feel free to comment here or email me anytime: jkweath @ gmail.com.
I'll have more updates for my next project, Absinthia, soon. Stay tuned!
11-20-21 patch, Spotify OST, Team Bewitched, and Absinthe
Hello everyone!
I have a few announcements to make! First, I released a small patch last month as well as one just now:
Stray's Frost Arrows can now be equipped as intended
The overlook scene with Ruth and Gwen has different music (it's the track used in the Enhanced Edition trailer)
The unofficial-official Team Bewitched is now a thing, consisting of myself, my composer Jazz Stewart, and my co-writer and consultant Ginal.
We are currently developing Absinthe, a new story that takes place shortly after the events of Celestial Hearts.
(WIP)
The Ambrose Isles are home to many villages and towns. One such village is Katti Town, a homely, peaceful village where everyone knows everyone.
One day, Katti Town was suddenly besieged by a horde of shadowy minions and their leader, a woman named Lilith. But before they could even begin to lay waste, another unknown knight came to the rescue and repelled Lilith's army with ease.
The knight introduced herself as Freya and quickly became known as the hero of Katti Town. She took three villagers under her wing: Sera, a budding warrior who fights to protect her grandmother, Thomas, an aspiring mage, and his partner Jake, a talented, if not uninspired, rogue. Together, they began preparing Katti Town to face Lilith's next assault.
Sera, Jake and Thomas are optimistic, but soon they will learn Lilith's true intentions and why Freya is there to begin with--the hard way.

If you'd like to stay updated on Absinthe's progress, feel free to follow me on Twitter. If all goes well, we hope to have a demo ready by January and a Kickstarter campaign by early 2022.
Have a great weekend and stay safe!
9-17-2021 Update
Hello,
I released a small update today to fix a transfer issue that could happen in The Depths.
To access the Player's Guide after purchase, on the library page for Knight Bewitched click "Manage my 1 DLC", go to Local Files and click "Browse Files". The Player's Guide will be in the default folder for Knight Bewitched. There will also be a folder labeled "Excel Files" that you can load in a spreadsheet program.
Hello everyone!
The Enhanced Edition is available now as a free update to Knight Bewitched. If you don't own Knight Bewitched, there's a 20% discount on it as well as a discount on the sequel Knight Bewitched 2. Now's the perfect time to pick it up!
The original (hereby referred to as the "legacy" edition) is still available; if you'd rather continue your save file from the legacy edition, simply launch the game from Steam and select "Play the Legacy Edition".
Delayed DLC
I intended for the Enhanced Edition to launch with the official player's guide and new soundtrack as paid DLC. Unfortunately, I ran into some technical issues while setting these up, and right now I'm waiting on Steam to help me work through the issues and approve their release.
The guide and soundtrack are currently unavailable, but I'll keep you updated and hopefully have everything sorted out and ready by the end of the week.
If you encounter any problems with the Enhanced Edition or have any suggestions, feel free to email me anytime at Jkweath@gmail.com.
