The Koboo: The Tree Spirit Demo is Here!
It has been 3 years since I started working on Koboo: The Tree Spirit and I finally have a tech demo which I would like to share publicly. This is a short demo and there is still a lot of work I want to hold off on sharing until I feel it is ready. The demo mostly shows off the combat and the general game feel I am going for.
Thanks to all my close friends and family as well as my Discord community for playtesting the game and pointing my design in a better direction. If you want to get updates on the game and/or share any thoughts you have about the game with me you can join my Discord Here
Thanks! <3 - Jerome
Koboo: The Tree Spirit was featured on Best Indie Games!
I like to keep with all the new roguelike indie games and while I was watching a video about them I saw my own game featured which was awesome as there are so many other greats games on there too which you should check out!
Here is the video: [previewyoutube="Y2N6VRMc-pY;full"] In the video, he thought it looked good which is great but he has also pointed out that the human enemy characters' pixel size does not match the rest of the game in some places. Another person also commented that they look a bit generic and too similar. The reason for this is that the release of this page was a bit rushed so I could post it during the #PitchYaGame event on Twitter so I did not work on the enemy sprites as much as I wanted to.
In the future, I will be polishing and redesigning some parts of the human sprites so they will match the rest of the game, look unique and fit into the narrative of the world. So thanks for the feedback and stay tuned for more updates!
Koboo: The Tree Spirit's Steam Page is Now Live!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me up to this point! I can't wait to talk to the community on Steam as I am always looking for feedback to improve the game.
It is still early stages for Koboo at the moment but lookout for more updates in the near future on the game's development. Have a wonderful day!
