Season 8 End Date UTC+0 2021 July 7th (Wed) Maintenance
Season Pass - Season 8 You can purchase the ‘Season 8 Pass Bundle’ until the UTC+0 2021 July 7th (Wed) maintenance. When the season ends, you can no longer complete challenges and level it up. Season level up items can be used for the next season pass. Unclaimed rewards from Season 8 will be given to you at your first login after the maintenance. This reward can be claimed until the end of Season 9. Make sure to claim your unclaimed rewards before Season 9 ends.
Season 9 Season 8 will come to an end on UTC+0 2021 July 7th (Wed) Maintenance. Your rating will be soft reset once Season 8 ends and your new rank will be applied with Season 9. Season 8's rank rewards will be given to you at your first login after the maintenance. This reward will be claimable until the end of Season 9. Make sure to claim your unclaimed rewards before Season 9 ends.
Rank Soft Reset Your Season 9 Rank will depend on your rank from Season 8. All ranks will go down by 3. The highest rank you can get from the reset is B1 and the lowest is D1. However, all E ranks will be reset to E1.

KP Shop Update

Reduced Soul Scythe size while equipped We reduced the size of Soul Scythe to make it easier to view it in various UIs. In both PVE and PVP, size and attack range remain unchanged while using the weapon. The size is only changed for when you have it equipped and resting on your back.
Improved Training Grounds Command and Skill Guide We changed formal expressions of some commands and skills in Training Grounds. Changes are centered around what ‘Launch’ and ‘Knocked Down’ means. Previously, we used ‘Launch’ to note the situations where an enemy would be knocked up high into the air. From now on, regardless of the height to which enemies are sent, if the end result knocks enemy down on the ground, then that will be referred to as ‘Knocked Down’. We will only use ‘Launch’ when the enemy is flung into the air without being knocked down.
AI Change In AI PVP, we determined that ‘Sacred Guardian’ AI is more aggressive and has bigger influence on outcome of the match than other AIs and as a result, we decided to remove it. We also added the new ‘Dual Soul’ AI. We also made improvements to all remaining AI to move more naturally overall.

June 9th 2021 Weekly Maintenance Patch Notes
Beta Mode 1) 2 vs 2 Deathmatch (Beta Mode) The Deathmatch (Beta Mode) will come to an end. We would like to thank every single one of you for testing and providing your feedback via the survey. We do our best to take your feedback and continue to improve KurtzPel.
2) Destruction – Beta Mode Press (M) then select ‘Destruction’ on the ‘Battle’ tab to play the new 5v5 PVP mode. To play Destruction, you must have 5 or more Karmas and you must choose 1 Karma that you want to play with for the entire match. It is not an official mode yet so this mode can be enjoyed without worrying about win/loss records affecting your ranking.
Destruction (Beta Mode) Improvements 1) Ping System While playing Destruction (Beta Mode), you will be able to communicate and strategize with your teammate with ease with the new Ping system. 2) Spectator System When you are incapacitated by the enemy, you will be able spectate your living teammates with the new Spectator System. While you are incapacitated, press the A & D key on your keyboard to spectate your living teammates.
New Awakening • Aegis Knight Awakening - Awakening is coming for Aegis Knight!
Improvement • Eltheca Lighting Improvement - Lighting intensity in Eltheca has been adjusted to make the character's skin tone and costume color to be most accurate to the actual color
Bug Fix • General - Fixed the bug where tooltip UI wouldn't show up while matchmaking as a party in certain situations - Fixed the bug where semi-transparent costumes didn't have any shadow - Fixed the bug where the Release Sky Lantern Emote would be tilted - Fixed the bug where Season 3's G Rank emote didn't show any particle effects • Survival - Fixed the bug where the UI was showing up for your own skills rather than the player you were spectating - Fixed the bug where 2 Chat UIs were showing up when chatting while incapacitated

Beta Mode
1. 2 vs 2 Deathmatch (Beta Mode) The Deathmatch (Beta Mode) will come to an end. We would like to thank every single one of you for testing and providing your feedback via the survey. We do our best to take your feedback and continue to improve KurtzPel.
2. Destruction – Beta Mode Press (M) then select ‘Destruction’ on the ‘Battle’ tab to play the new 5v5 PVP mode. Game Rules - Players: 5 vs 5 - Win Condition: Destroy the last tower in the enemy base - Play Time Limit: None - Special Rules 1) You must choose 1 Karma to play (You cannot switch Karmas while playing Destruction.) / Allies cannot use the same Karma 2) Equipment, Costume, Set Items, Karma Passives, and all other stat effects do not apply. All players will start the game with the same stats. 3) All characters will have the same set of motions and will not be adjusted to individual character features. 4) Combo limit has been removed for Destruction mode.
How to Play 1) Defeat enemy characters, monsters, and neutral monsters to increase your level. 2) When you level up, your stats will increase and you will unlock a skill or increase a level on a skill. (When you level up, select the desired skill to level it up (default: number keys 1-4) 3)Defeat neutral monsters to gain buffs or summon monsters to your side. - Golem: Defeat the Golem to have it become your ally for a set duration. Fight with it to destroy the enemy towers. (A much stronger Golem will spawn after it is defeated for the 3rd time.) - Chaos: Defeat the Chaos to grant your allies with powerful Hero Buffs for a set duration. 4)Make use of your character progression and neutral monsters to destroy enemy towers all the way to their final base tower to win.
Tip 1) Press the (G) key on your keyboard to see information about the current match. 2) Press the (B) key on your keyboard to recall to your base. 3) Go to designated region in your base to recover your HP. 4) Neutral monsters will start recovering HP if they leave their territory. 5) When you die, you will be respawned at the start point. Your respawn timer will increase with your levels.

Karma Balance Changes (Limited to Destruction)
Control Revamp (Limited to Destruction – Beta Mode)
You can experience the control revamp in ‘Destruction’ – Beta Mode. We limited the changes to Destruction so that you can play and test these changes for yourself before they are applied to the rest of the game.
1) Mana still Removed but Stamina is Restored Mana will continue to be removed and skills will solely depend on cooldowns. Stamina has been restored and Dash Spheres are removed.
2) Changes due to Stamina being Restored Because stamina is restored the below will be changed. - Dual Soul’s RMB command will consume stamina - Blazing Fist’s Dash RMB will consume stamina - Soul of Magus’ Aerial RMB will consume stamina - Lightning Fang’s RMB will consume stamina. - Ruler of Darkness’ Aerial Flight will consume stamina
3) Blow System removed We decided to remove the Blow System because it was hard to recognize and also, it was frustrating to be stuck in a combo for so long.
4) Combining Dash & Evade has been Removed We heard your feedback loud and clear and we decided to remove the decision to combine dash & evade as many of you pointed out that it actually took away the uniqueness and combo mechanics of individual Karmas. The dash & evade system has been restored to its original system.
5) Natural Recovery removed This was removed due to giving winning players an advantage by encouraging them to run away with the lead and making the games boring as a result. Also with this change, we removed restriction on healing skills healing only to specific amounts, so healing skills can now be 100% effective at all times.
6) Movement Speed Adjustment We received many feedbacks that the current movement speed was too slow so we've made it a bit faster than before. To account for kiting by ranged Karmas against melee Karmas, we gave melee Karmas 15% faster movement speed.
7) Knockdown, Breakfall Changes - Knockdown State Removed invincibility from Knockdown state. You can now take damage from attacks during Knockdown. - Breakfall Breakfall is used to get out of Knockdown quickly but follow-up attacks from enemies made this maneuver less effective than intended. Therefore, we added invincibility during Breakfall so that you can stand up from knockdown without taking damage!
8) Difficult Control Improvements We made the following changes to address difficulties in Dash during Charging, using skills while Aiming, and recovering Special Resources.
Destruction (Beta Mode) Improvements
1) Ping System While playing Destruction (Beta Mode), you will be able to communicate and strategize with your teammate with ease with the new Ping system. - While playing, hold down the ALT key to switch to 'Ping Mode' which will make your mouse cursor appear on top of the minimap. - When you are in Ping Mode (hold ALT), you can still use your other keys and Ping Mode can be activated while you are incapacitated as well. - You can ping your teammates on the minimap with LMB and RMB.
2) Spectator System When you are incapacitated by the enemy, you will be able spectate your living teammates with the new Spectator System. While you are incapacitated, press the A & D key on your keyboard to spectate your living teammates. - A Key: Previous Teammate - D Key: Next Teammate
New Awakening
• Aegis Knight Awakening - Awakening is coming for Aegis Knight!
- How to unlock Awakening Reach Lv.20 and Karma Lv.6 on your character, then you will be able to talk to the NPC inside Eltheca to receive the Awakening Quest. Once complete, you will receive an item that will unlock your awakening. These awakening quests can be complete by playing dungeons within your level range or can be unlocked by purchasing Awakening Tomes in the KP Shop.
- Karma Skill Tree Expansion When you unlock your awakening, you can level up your karma up to Lv.11 and you can become stronger with each level by acquiring passives or new skills.
Expanded Aegis Knight Skill Tree
Aegis Knight New Awakening Skill – Thunderous Charge Charge forward and crash into an enemy with great force. If your charge is successful, the target hit will become airborne. [previewyoutube="YFNF-HI3QCo;full"] Aegis Knight New Awakening Rage Skill – Grand Cross EX Trap enemies in front of you then slash them in large, sweeping motion. [previewyoutube="tD5hF3VEiwM;full"] With this update, all Karma's max level will be increased from 5 to 6 but only Sword Taliah, Dance of Wind, Diabolic Witch, Blazing Fist, Dual Soul, Sacred Guardian, Fallen Light, Ruler of Darkness, Soul of Magus, and Aegis Knight will be able to reach Lv.11 through Awakening.
- Awakening Gauge Once you unlock your Awakening, you will be able to use the Awakening Gauge in dungeons. Your awakening gauge will increase by dealing damage to monsters and the amount of gauge increased will depend on your damage. Once you have filled up your awakening gauge, you will be able to activate it with L-Alt key. When the Awakening Gauge is active, your movement speed, attack power, stamina recovery, and mana recovery will be increased for a set duration. When your Awakening is active, you can perfectly dodge an enemy's attack to slow everything around you and gain additional movement speed, action speed, mana/stamina/hp recovery increase buff. When you acquire the Awakening Rage Skill by hitting Lv.10 on your Karma, you will be able to use the Awakening Rage Skill by awakening with a full rage bar. The awakening rage skill must be used before the Awakening effect expires.
- Effect of Awakening Skills on PVP & PVE Certain awakening system and skills will only be usable in dungeons. We are still reviewing the possibility of allowing awakening skills in PVP but only after awakening for all karmas are released.
