PATCH #4 COLLECTABLES & ZAZEN

Hi,

A small patch with some new stuffs!

Features :
- Your Zazen level is saved when you quit the game!!
- The sauna is now usefull ;)
- Balancing Taaz Collectables spawns & rituals
- Some taaz collectables are hidden in temporary constructions
- A painting area in the painter house

Fixes :
- Fix collectables and spawns in the mountain area
- Missing NPC illustration
- Spawn snow during snow Taaz
- Underwater visual glitch

PATCH #3 THE DIRTY FRENCH

Hey y'all !

A quickie just to tell you we fixed a couple of things in the dirt level under the Kwaan : pay special attention to the items there as they will pile up faster now ! We hope it is not going to crash the servers though ! If there is a problem, i will be there this week end to restart them just in case so please be patient :)

Rico has fixed a lot of stuff based on your feedback, thank you so much for engaging with our world... Still so much to do and so many good things happening already :) More hints, some changes in recipes, and new secrets :)

For our french lovers out there, the translation is up ! Only the UI is still in progress... Please report us the bugs if you see them :)

THE SUM OF ALL HOPES



Welcome, all of you new players, joining us in the whimsical mystery that is KWAAN ! The game is now out and we have patched it immediately to offer everybody a suitable way to play - meaning we added keyboard support for moving, breaching our vow to stick to the mouse. After 9 months of Early Access, we're proud of showing you our little world...

Some words of advice :

- KWAAN is an online community. A lot of the gameplay is based on COMMUNITY. This is NOT a solo game, although it has some stuff to keep you entertained if you're a loner. some reviews are complaining about the fact that you need the community to do stuff. You know what ? THAT'S THE CONCEPT !

- It's a game that will continue to grow, based on the feedback from the community. We want to hear from you and our goal is also to grow this game based on your experience of it. If you don't like something, ask away, gather support and show us why we should fix this or that. THAT'S THE CONCEPT !

- KWAAN is not a plateformer, a sandbox or a RPG or just an ecosystem. It is something else. Don't expect the same approach than in any other game. You will need to think outside the box. A lot of the content will only be revealed after DAYS of play. You don't have to play KWAAN a lot. Just enjoy it 20 minutes per day, it is designed that way. Just participate and have a relationship with it. Of course you can do more. But nothing is mandatory.

- Finally : there are a couple of issues with the french translation, please forgive us. It will all be fixed next week. Linux support should be fine too.

- Our last update features some hints in the quest labels, some fixes on the keyboard, overlays etc... We keep on polishing...

PATCH #2 THE KEYBOARD COMPROMISE

Dear ones,

YES YES

WE KNOW !

YOU CAN NOW USE THE KEYBOARD TO MOVE !

Use the Arrow Keys and A-D :p

Up arrows activate the icon overlays !

AND STOP ASKING FOR IT NOW ;p (still no killing, sorry haters !)

We also fixed a bunch of stuff :

- Use the Mouse wheel for scrolling in the chat window
- Chat sound (send / receive) - there is an option to deactivate it
- Some Level Design fixes (mountain / ocean)

PATCH #1 THE TAMING OF THE SHREWDS

Hello my dear ones :)

It's been a few days since the game finally came out and we're glad you like it so far ! We've been having a couple of non-critical issues, some due to the specificities of online play, and we mostly fixed them.

Here are the fixes :

- hell's door is fixed
- no more waterfall pink glitches
- music is fixed
- shark entrance is fixed
- lors of NPC dialogs fixed and/or added
- added wall underwater to prevent pirate's trampoline from going overwall
- added all items spawner (tooth, crystals, turtle...)
- hired Dancer that were in ground are fixed
- green crystal item added
- ritual crystal position fixed
- bad zazen frame is fixed
- Acid ball in shark that were destroyed on spawn + put them farther to put them behind acidpools (nasty)
- stupid ragequit bug

We have more coming !

A GLORIOUS DAY

Dear all,

We are currently uploading a new build of Kwaan. All neat and pretty. Lots of new stuff, art and quests ! Please, help us make sure all is functionning ! This is a call to Early Access dwaals ! We need you !

The game is officially released to do. We realize it will be a while since we can get the word out, but it is good as we polish the experience more and more - we need you to play the game online to make sure everything is in its right place.

We will ask you to wait in the coming days for the french translation, as it is the last thing we need to do ! Sorry about that ! Also, linux users, all seems good with the build, but please share your thoughts with us !

Hey Dwaals !

Pfew...... We're almost there. But to finish the game as we want, we are taking one more week (until the 21st) to polish the game and make sure all the systems work - and the french translation is up. We are also putting together a new trailer and a new website. Too much work for our small hands !

Keep us with us, we won't disappoint !

Well well well little Dwaals

Another year, another chance to make the world better. 2015 was tough for a lot of you out there, and we wish you peace and a better eveything ! Let's make this happen : OPTIMISM IS REAL !

On the KWAAN front, we are hard at work to make it to the january 14th release date, and all look good. As Yam has said in his xmas note, we are reconstructing the game from scratch, with a new expanded level design, a nano-tuto and a lot of very cool mysteries.

Of course, after the release, we will keep on updating and expanding the game, with new content and tiny features to make this experience unforgettable. We know KWAAN is a very different game, not easy to get (as a lot of people are saying in the negative reviews section :p) and our small team is sometimes too small to adress all the problems of an online RPG - ah, sometimes, we wish we had made an offline solo game. But NO. We have decided to make an online game we wanted to play, and here it is.

Take it or leave it.

Your feedback has been priceless and we hope we haven't disappointed you in this Early Access. It was a wild ride, and sometimes, yes, we despaired - making such a game and having no one to play in is like organizing a great birthday party and nobody shows up. It will take time. It's ok. In the end, we will make it to this dreamland we set up to discover when we started developing this adventure. Thank you again for being with us.

THE WINTER UPDATE #40

Hey my litte Dwaals.......

Oh yes, things are moving.

Before anything else, here is a gift for you all : snow ! Yes ! A new Taaz, full of snow and stuff to do and new things we're trying. As you will see, now, in each taaz, a NPC will give you a special quest, related to the the current taaz. We just implemented one to test, but be sure they'll be a lot more, as these quests (some recursive, some not) will help you figure out the mysteries of this world. These quests will become super important to reveal content and what to do - this is the narration we have chosen : we still want a game that needs to be figured out - we still hate tutorials (although we are adding a small one just to teach basic controls).

Sorry for the mess with the recent bugs, we had a hard chasing them :) Kudos to Yamato for being the best daddy in the world <3

Kwaan is really a weird little thing. It is growing on us and on the people that play it. A lot of stuff is still in the can and we really hop to be able to implement everything ! But Kwaan is also a very small project, with a very small team, so don't expect the kind of stuff any big MMO team could be doing ! We have really a lot of work to do if we are to stay on course for our target release date. Of course, this game will stay alive for long and keep on growing and expanding, based on the feedback from the community.

THE TRIFFIDS UPDATE #39

Hey all ! Ok, so we're implementing all the remaining taaz and the new one, Out of the Eons, features our old friend the Triffid - for those who don't know these buggers, we urged you to read John Wyndham book, The Day of the Triffids, a wonderful book ! Triffids are nasty, hope you'll find a way to get rid of them !

We also fixed the Linux build, sorry for the problems folks !

We're now working on the new taaz, 50 words for snow, and we will fix Too Many raindrops. There will be 2 more to go before the whole thing is complete (hopefully for Christmas). The Story will be there for the release. We plan on doing a couple of new stuff after the release, based on your feedback, so please, keep on sharing your impressions with us !

Welcome to all new players, remember Kwaan is a very differtent game ! It's NOT a plateformer ! :0 We're busy writing a story to help people navigate the many stuff to do ingame.
