The latest update Hag & Slash: The Combat Update is now available and here is the changelog of what has been updated! As always, these things are an ongoing development, so expect bugs, balancing issues and an overwhelming urge to sprinkle herbs on things.

🔷 Combat completely redone into a Reactive Realtime Combat system ᅠᅠ🔷 Head to Simplewood, at the top of Rivermoor to meet Jogon, Master of Combat and learn the way of the sword ᅠᅠ🔷 Fight against 5 enemy types with multiple abilties to figure out ᅠᅠ🔷 Equip a loadout of two swords, a ward/charm, 10 combat items and a meal ᅠᅠ🔷 Choose your strategy carefully where death can cost you fairweather tax years of your life! ᅠᅠ🔷 Take your dog into battle for help ᅠᅠ🔷 Pick Combat items in paused mode to aid in attack, defense and healing ᅠᅠ🔷 Travel deeper into the forest for tougher difficulty with better rewards ᅠᅠ🔷 Some areas allow for rest and little minigames for additional loot 🔷 Drownhill, a new region in Summerdown to explore ᅠᅠ🔷 Includes Moon - learn how to use a bow from our latest Master 🔷 Can order some fresh goods for the good store 🔷 Good store selling table reused for storage when player owned (items will be placed out automatically each hour while the shop is open if you have a worker) 🔷 Shop reputation levelling reworked with perk points unlocked as reputation goes up with 10 perks per shop 🔶 Apothecary crafting adjusted to be easier. Any brass from crafting these is reduced compared to the player providing their own ore ❌ No pollen weather appearing inside shops ❌ On selling a Good Store it restocks when you next enter the level ❌ Prevented purchase of multiple recipes from sellers like Mellowbrook Apothecary ❌ No more freebie premade cures if the player serves patients! ❌ Fix for follow points of followers that meant they got in the way more frequently ❌ Count next to ore in ledger should be what is in stock for workers rather than include the player's inventory ❌ Blacksmith worker should be able to craft shelf items if not all orders are complete due to missing ore ❌ Followers should follow in interiors ❌ Lemonade stand profit info should only include gains from the lemonade stand ❌ Shouldn't be able to access the options screen while changing level ❌ NPCs should recover from getting into non-navigable spots ❌ Fixed many star rating placeholder gossip lines ❌ Babies shouldn't start conversations

Gathering Storm Update
Greetings Seedings!
It’s that time again, when we lower the castle portcullis and send our excitable update sheep down the road into our community. This fabulous update is a feast for the eyes and ears, as well as being packed with mystery and story. Over the next few weeks, we will reveal more about the next update as our sheep reaches ramming speed as it charges down the hill towards the dark forest. Judging by the helmet that our sheep is wearing, it would seem that there is going to be a bit of rough n tumble and the apothecary might need to stock up on wound treatments! As for now, let’s have a look inside the Gathering Storm update, that we proudly present to you.
WEATHER & LIGHTING
Probably the stars of the show are our new lighting and weather systems. Rain, fog, wind, heat and snow bring a level of immersion to Quill that takes the game to ambient heights.
WIND
A light breeze or a full-on gale. The Goddesses provide.
RAIN
Rain has various intensities, from “It’s spitting!” to “I love storms!” Our resident weather coding expert Nick, also made it so it does not rain indoors, and the sound changes whether you are near bodies of water, near greenhouses and when you are snug inside.
SNOW
Ahhh a lovely crisp winter’s day. The tingle of a snowflake on your nose. The blast of icy death as a blizzard whacks you in the face.
FOG
From morning mists to creepy pea-soupers to colourful Fae rainbow clouds, you can’t beat fog for sheer atmosphere. Some say it is Dragon’s breath. Others say it is a visible aerosol of tiny water droplets. Some people are less fun than others.
LIGHTS & LANTERNS
Lights now contain themselves in houses. We tweaked the times of day and more importantly, made the lantern really cool and actually useful.
A NEW PET
Introducing the FILIFRYTH! This magnificent and strange bushy owl is not so easy to tame, unless you know the way. But what is the ability that this odd yet cute little creature has? We are not telling you because that would be taking the Piscatootle.
NEW INTRO & MAJOR PROLOGUE CHANGES
Yes, we added some initial mystery and set up to the story, changed a ton of dialogue and moved tasks around. There will be fun. There will be shocks. There will be fear. There will be blood. Just kidding, that’s a great movie.
FAE REALM OF EVERGREEN
Find the method to unlock it, and you can visit the lush forests of Evergreen. Strange noises drift from ancient trees and bizarre denizens wander amongst the whispering trees and gentle streams with their discordant music.
The update also contains delights such as a new region transition system, various tweaks and polish and an absolute ton of bug fixes. We also probably introduced an absolute ton more too.
Some of you with high awareness stats may have noticed a very modest price rise on the Store page. We felt the added content to date justified a small raise, and this will help keep the Castle Guards from revolting. Some of them are already revolting, but their mother's love them.
We can’t wait to hear your feedback and see your screenshots and watch your streams. So immerse yourself, wrap up warm and experience the elements of our brand new update, brought to you by the hard-working Gnomes of PixelCount (they tried to form a union, but were hungry so formed an onion).
