Labyrinthine 1.0
Hello everyone!
It's been a wild ride these past four years but we are now happy to say that we have completed everything we aimed to complete (and more!) for Labyrinthine to come out of Early Access.
From humble beginnings
Labyrinthine, early 2020
For those who don't know, Labyrinthine started as a passion project, being worked on by a dedicated group of developers in their spare time. The original game was very different to what exists today, in part due to the massive amount of feedback and suggestions players put forward.
We have tried to uphold that "small team" approachability and interact with as many people as we could. Labyrinthine, and the suggestions players put forward, is now enjoyed by thousands of players world wide. I think it's safe to say, we are the number 1 horror maze game out there!
A teaser we released for Chapter 4
While we have quite drastically changed how the game plays, the core focus of the game, a fun little co-operative experience, has remained the same. We have spent countless hours watching your streams, clips, youtube videos and tiktoks. It's amazing to see so many people enjoy what we've created and for that, everyone at Valko Game Studios thanks you!
The Road Ahead
An early concept for the Chapter 3 cabin
Labyrinthine has brought together players in ways we didn't expect and we have watched friend groups form through it, something we definitely want to see continue. While the 1.0 release means it won't be our active project, it doesn't mean we won't still be working on it from time to time. We still want people out there, being scared by the monsters. We still want people finding new cool landmarks or diving into new maze types. 1.0 doesn't mean the game isn't going to get updates.
We have more plans for Labyrinthine.
An early teaser for the Corn Maze case file
For those who read our "Developer Updates", you will be aware that we do have another cooperative horror title underway and we are hoping players love that just as much. That is now where our main focus is going for now.
Supporter Edition
We often get players asking how they can support us further, be it through Patreon, directly donating to us or several other means. We're humbled. Truly. It's nice to see people desperate to support us and we thought the Merchandise store would have been enough, but people have continued to ask. We've decided to put together the supporter edition so that players can further support us directly through steam.
It is purely cosmetic and is a completely optional addon for those that want it. We've tried to make it as rewarding as possible, so you will receive 3 new glowstick colours, a unique nameplate, two new music tracks and 5 new cosmetics. For those who can't afford it but still want to support us; make sure to leave us a steam review, it helps more than people realise.
Thank you, from the entire Valko Game Studios development team.

Labyrinthine Case File Update - Part 2

We will be bringing another update shortly that addresses some smaller issues, brings a few new languages to the game and also takes us out of "early access" at long last.
Don't fret though, that doesn't mean it will be abandoned or receive no new content!

Labyrinthine Case File Update - Part 1
Why does it say Part 1?
We know you're all excited for the case file update. We think that the QoL changes we have done so far deserve to be in the public space, so we've decided to break the case file update into two parts, with most things coming in part 1 and additional maps/monsters in part 2 (which were originally planned for another update). You may notice the brick maze is not included with this part; there's changes we want to make and we don't think we can get them done soon enough to include, so we're going to move it over to part 2.
