Pet the Cats!
A brand-new, highly asked-for feature has been added to Lake — you can now pet the cats that are lounging around Mildred’s home! Just like in real life, each cat is different and has their own unique response, so it’s up to you to determine how to earn their trust so you can give them all the pets… and maybe even that ever-elusive belly rub.


Meredith can pet the cats in Lake Classic as well as Classic Endless Mode. Cats don’t really like the snow, you see. Who can blame them? Maybe Thomas... ;)

Endless Mode Patch 2

  • Fixed traffic jams. Cars will no longer wait infinitely.
  • Fixed endless mode ring and knock animation issues for several addresses.
  • Fixed tree draw distance issue. Trees will now correctly render across the Lake.

Now Available: Endless Mode!
The people have spoken and they have spoken clearly! We weren't indifferent to the many requests for an endless mode, and were delighted to eventually put it on our to-do list as the next task to work on.

So, here it finally is: Endless mode!

If you can't get enough of driving around your favorite little laketown, get ready to deliver mail ad infinitum!

And just to manage your expectations: there will be no stories or new dialogues, or any other mail carrier comedy-drama. Just a never-ending cycle of playable days with randomized delivery lists to fulfil at your own convenience.

Endless mode is available for both Lake Classic and Season's Greetings environments. So start up Lake, hop in the mail truck, turn on the radio, and get cranking. Neither snow nor rain... as Frank Coleman would say: the mail doesn't deliver itself!

Season's Greetings Patch 5

  • Fix "Ring doorbell" shown incorrectly when package can be dropped.
  • Fix motel sign incorrect placement.
  • Fix Thomas wearing Christmas sweater for several days.
  • Fixed incorrect time of day during some events.
  • Fixed Mildred moonwalking / walking in place.
  • Fixed issue with dialogue audio not properly unloading from memory.

Season's Greetings Patch 4
Changes

  • Fixed font missing characters in Chinese and Japanese localization
  • Fixed credits in menu not matching end game credits.
  • Fixed not being able to walk when loading a save while sitting on a bench or delivering a letter
  • Updated Vsync and Window mode settings. Fullscreen should now be exclusive fullscreen. Vsync and refresh rate should be applied correctly again.
  • Fixed car horn only usable once.
  • Lots of smaller audio related fixes. Hopefully the problem is solved, if not a lot less frequent.


If you do still encounter any audio issues, please let us know. Here are some things you can try that might help:

  • Changing the priority and affinity of the executable through the Task Manager might help resolve audio issues in some cases.
  • Enable or disable Vsync and try limiting your framerate. Several players have reported the problem occurs (more often) on higher frame rates. This might help reduce the issue.
  • Please try to enable or disable exclusive mode via the properties of your audio device through Windows ("Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"). This has been reported to solve the issue in some rare cases.

Season's Greetings hotfix 3

  • Fixed phone ringing audio missing in classic.
  • Several smaller technical improvements and changes to help track down the audio issue(s).
  • Politely asked Frank to leave the Weiss residence during the evening, he can no longer be seen in the kitchen.
  • Fixed random strange camera shots during Nancy scenes.
  • Fixed bug where Beth is not spawning at her store
  • Fixed bug where Frank is looking away during scene at the shed.
  • Corrected a branching error in the scene where Frank is hiding behind the counter.
  • Updated demo build.
  • Fixed Demo saves cloud saving and several other small fixes. Hopefully all saves can be played again, if not make sure to let us know!

Fixes:

  • Fixed autopilot audio missing.
  • Fixed 400 E Lakeview Blvd incorrect position.
  • Fixed tutorial not stopping correctly resulting in a performance drop.
  • Several smaller technical fixes.
