During his Landflix Odyssey, Larry will face several powerful bosses, one for each TV series, who are just waiting to take him out once and for all, so that they can act undisturbed and use the power of the batteries for their shady business.
Fortunately, however, our hero will be able to count on the help of special, familiar and iconic characters, ready to guide him in each of the TV series he will go through.
These are the characters who will be with you during your adventures in Landflix Odyssey -- also, we're pretty sure you've managed to recognise them all, isn't that right? ;)
As we said at the beginning, Larry will have to deal with some very fierce enemies. For them, we decided to opt for a different presentation so, enjoy this sneak peek -- comes directly from the super mega hyper fantastic trailer that we are preparing for the release!!!

The official release of Landflix Odyssey is getting closer and closer, and we're super excited about it.

Before moving on to today's Devlog, the second of our series, we officially confirm that the release date of Landflix Odyssey on Steam is scheduled for November 13th, while those who opted to take Landflix Odyssey on console will have to be a bit more patient!
But don't panic! To cheat the wait you can always reach us in our Discord Server and talk with us about everything! :D
DEVLOG #2 - THE GAMEPLAY OF EACH SERIES
Landflix Odyssey is an action - platformer in which players play as Larry, a lazy binge-watcher who, after using special batteries, finds himself trapped inside the streaming service he was watching, Landflix!
In order to return home, his mission will be to recover all five batteries that ended up inside the TV series of the Landflix platform.
Fortunately, in each TV series, Larry can count on the help of some special powers, so he can overcome obstacles and dangers in any game world.
In the TV series Peculiar Stuff, for example, you can visit a kind of upside-down, simply by accessing them through portals that you will find in the game.

As you may have noticed, Larry can't breathe in the upside-down so it will be crucial to plan your moves in advance to avoid a sad end... Oh and, of course, beware of the mysterious creatures that populate that hostile environment: they're waiting for nothing more than fresh binge-watchers' flesh!
In Elder Thrones, your special power will be the mythical Steel of Valyr...uh... Steel of Valor!

The only one capable of slicing the fearsome army of the undead: a truly miraculous blade!
In Blindevil, our goal was to give players the experience of being real "superheroes" - or, anyway, very strong masked men without millions of dollars and caves underground...

The magic stick will allow you to nimbly overcome obstacles and make you jump like true Hell's Kitchen demons between one building and another. Ah, and if you are wondering, the answer is yes, you can also use it as a weapon :D
In Going Mad the special power will be given to you by the "special medicines" - drugs...ahem - that you can take during the levels!

By using these "special medicines" can you slow down time - or perhaps, increase your reflexes?
And last but not least, in The standing Zombie, you can use a fantastic crossbow shooting arrows!

Really powerful arrows, if you consider that you can use them to climb walls and reach otherwise inaccessible places! Also as a weapon they are not bad, but unfortunately, Larry is not able to aim at the zombies' heads, so be careful because they could wake up after being hit! :D

Landflix Odyssey's development is finally COMPLETED!
The game is ready to hit your PCs and consoles: we are currently in contact with Valve to define the new Release Date which is likely to be on November 13th -- expect an official confirmation on this in the next few days!
From today until the official release date we will post some Devlog that you can enjoy to delight this last waiting.
A few more days while we are working on the new graphic materials - such as a new trailer and screenshots: we can't wait to take you to the fantastic worlds of Landflix Odyssey!

THE WORLDS of LANDFLIX ODYSSEY
Landflix is a clear reference to video-on-demand platforms like Netflix and TV shows universe. In Landflix Odyssey there are 5 TV series, playable worlds:
Peculiar Stuff > inspired by Stranger Things
Elder Thrones > inspired by Game of Thrones
Blindevil> inspired by Daredevil
Going Mad > inspired by Breaking Bad
The Standing Zombie > inspired by The Walking Dead
Each world has a particular gameplay mechanic that can be used by the player but... for more info on this, we refer you to one of our next devlog ;)
THE STORY
“An ice-cold beer, one of his favourite TV series, and of course his beloved screen. Idleness was at its peak until the remote gave no sign of life.
In the landfill that was his apartment, he thought he would find what he needed under his armchair. A couple of phosphorescent batteries that were asking to be used asap! Exactly what it did.
From the remote control starts a green-ray that hits the television opening a dimensional gate. From armchair to science fiction the step is short and a very cool evening can turn into a trip with no return.
The dream that becomes a nightmare or vice versa? He is trapped in his favourite on-demand streaming channel and the 5 batteries that brought him there have been sucked into the dimensional portals of his five favourite TV series. So, dream or nightmare?
The journey becomes even more hallucinatory when he meets his uncle, the odd, brilliant inventor Good Doc, he hadn't seen for weeks. He has trapped himself and his colleague Evil Doc, co-inventor of those particular batteries and with murky intentions. Welcome to Landflix!
If Larry wants to return to his quiet evenings in the armchair, he will have to find the five batteries before Evil Doc. To achieve this, he will have to travel inside his favourites TV series.

Landflix Odyssey - Blind Evil!

Today we share a devlog related to one of the different game worlds that you will find in Landflix Odyssey.
The game worlds available in Landflix Odyssey are parodies of famous, real TV series, and every level in these worlds are the episodes of these TV series.
For today's update we take you to the third game world, a parody of the famous TV series Daredevil, which, in our game, is called Blind Evil, in honour of the blind superhero who will guide us through the levels of the series.
In this game world, Larry will face deadly ninjas, belonging to the Foot clan, and to do so he will necessarily need to use the magical green stick that will allow him to stun enemies and stick to the walls, so as to reach points otherwise inaccessible with the normal jump.

Landflix Odyssey - Official Release Date!

It's been a while since we talked about our Landflix Odyssey, but that doesn't mean the development hasn't gone ahead in the meantime, actually!
The project has finally reached the final stage of development - we're just finishing implementing the game sounds and doing bug fixing - so we're really happy to announce that Landflix Odyssey will be officially available from September 2020!
To celebrate this announcement, we'd like to share a first taste of what you'll find in the game on its release, which is about the Landflix Odyssey Series selection menu.
As you can hear in the video below, it' s all about the unique selection sound we added to the menu: we had a lot of fun creating a musical scale that could entertain the player in an interesting way.
