Constructible objects in the Town Hall no longer refresh each morning.
Barricade tier 3 can now properly be stalled and repaired when broken.
Barricade mini-games now properly inform you when lacking resources, as well as when no further upgrades are available.
The Warehouse area no longer features a hovering police car and a hovering bus.
Added a missing sound of shattering glass in the Gas station.
Clearing the blocked entrance in the Gas station no longer causes the cursor to disappear and bug out controls when looting/interacting.
Fixed an issue where some important objects had a (very) rare chance to not spawn.
Fixed multiple objects in the world that were appearing inside out.
The breaking sound of Graves now plays at the proper location.
Acid found on the ground can now be collected into an Empty Bottle as intended.
Fixed a situation where the Bottle of Water was not being locked by achievements as it should.
Adjusted the Exhausted stamina regeneration to be smoother as well as how it interacts with sprinting and vaulting.
Vaulting can no longer teleport you back to your starting position.
The text chat is now disabled during mini-games.
Added and adjusted some text notifications for consumable effects.
The advancements info now properly displays for upgrades.
The achievement tooltips on the achievement-board have been updated to be more accurate.
The day counter no longer displays the days you've survived but instead the current day.
Changed appearances of texts in-game to make them more clear and more consistent.
Updated the UI to be clearer while lockpicking.
Updated info on the controls on the inventory bag flap.
The Flashlight toggle now works as intended, many thanks for the report!

Three years ago we started on this project. We were completely new to game development.
We have had many struggles during these past three years and learned a lot from this project.
We know we've done some things correctly, but we now know of even more things to not repeat.

We want to thank you guys for being with us during this period and hopefully in the future.
Your feedback, suggestions, and interactions have motivated us to reach this day!

What is last farewell?


Last Farewell is a single or multiplayer survival game with a hint of rogue-like.
The goal of the game is to find and beat the boss to obtain a truck later used to escape the city.
The truck first needs to be upgraded with some protection, and you need to make sure you are well stocked for the trip.

Townhall


This is the Townhall! Here you will have places to craft and store items.
The Townhall is the only safe place during the night! Make sure to protect it at all costs.


Puppets


There are 3 types of puppets
You have the Regular Puppets.
They focus on melee and swarming the player.


You have the Sniper Puppet
They focus on ranged attacks and have a burst ability.


AND FINALLY THE BOSS
Big, Strong and unique in the world!


Looting


During the day you will have to scavenge to find items for upgrading and barricading the Townhall!
Last Farewell has over 70 items, many of which are craftable and consumables to aid you in your struggles.
As you play you will get access to more and more of these.


Progression


There are many achievements that dictate your progression in-game. What you've managed to achieve will have
a positive impact on future games. Of course, you will have the option to completely reset your progress and
start over!

Blocks


These are the various areas that make up your world based on your seed. They offer different loot and
learning where you can find what can be very rewarding!




Night


At night puppets will start invading the Townhall through barricades. Prevent them from entering and killing you.

Patch 0.4.2

Tutorial!


We added a tutorial!

You currently have 5 chapters that will teach you the basics of the game.
You will be taught how to survive the first couple of nights.
After completing the tutorial you will receive a boost for the main game, so grab it while you are at it!

New puppet


We've added a brand new model with different clothing variants. As well as a big bag of mo-capped and hand-made animations for them, to give more variety to enemies you'll be encountering during your runs.


New blocks and rotation


Rotations
The same block is now rotated in 4 different ways, adding a new feeling to them.

Construction block
This is a new block where you can find very important item related to upgrading the workbench.


Respawning


At the beginning of the morning, players will now respawn after they've died, and at least 1 player is alive!

New attack animation


The player has new animations for attacks!
The attack animations have been altered to be more accurate and now fluently chain into one another, when you attack multiple times.

Puppet Headshots


Hitting a puppet on the head will deal more damage now.
Damage varies based on what weapon you use.

Disabled pickpocketing


Due to inventory problem, we removed pickpocketing
Pickpocketing was part of the old game plan. But as the game has switched its direction, we don't have a reason to keep it anymore(especially with all the bugs it caused).

Loot update


We changed how loot spawns and balanced the amounts a bit. (Hopefully, you won't have 4 machetes in a fridge now)

Loot will spawn less around the town hall and more abundant the further away you go

Optimizations


Optimized hiding of objects that arent visible.
Increased network and processing performance by altering how and when entities send data.

Rock throw indicator


Now when throwing a rock you will have an icon in the bottom right corner that indicates when you can throw a rock again.


Bug fixes


Sound playing in every player's ear.
Townhall markers are now only visible in townhall again.
You can no longer walk during the lockpicking mini-game.
Fixed items floating in the world.
Altered a couple of Typos.
Changed the compass to no longer say SE twice.
Fixed several bugs with the inventory.

Misc


Reduced volume of the tent.
Player markers on the compass are no longer the same color.
It will now become lighter when you need to kill all puppets at night.
Tweaked vaulting insides some buildings (No longer vaulting over a coffee cup).
Improved AI movement and player detection.

Roadmap


Color picking
We will add so before the match starts players can pick the color they want.
This color will be represented on the gloves, shirt, compass marker, landmarks, and sprays.

Mini-games
Planning on adding small mini-games similar to lockpicking for repairing/upgrading wall hole covers.

New enemies
We are working on 2 more enemy types.
These will need a different approach to killing them,

- Altered the height of the gas station building
- Changed the door on the gas station
- Items that have no purpose in the hand can no longer be equipped
- Fixed a bug where cutting trees on a specific area in the level crashed the game
- Made sure that the interact-notification on doors previously locked updates accordingly.

New world


Fog has received some changes and it now both looks and performs better.

New buildings

Gas station
The Gas station is a very reliable source for the new resource Gasoline and there might be more to it than that...🤔



Gunstore
The Gunstore can spawn a firearm if you have unlocked the required achievements.


New areas

Rescue Camp
The Rescue Camp may contain the Axe which is important for the new Woodcutting mechanic.

Other areas
We’ve filled out the world with new areas that can spawn which should spice up the variation you find in the world.


Vehicles

Police car
The Police car has the same functionality as a car but in addition may allow you to find a firearm if you have unlocked the required achievements.

Taxi
The Taxi has the functionality of a car and adds some flair to the world.

Bus
The Bus was added to enhance the world.

We added a new way to see achievements and track your progression.
Now you will be able to see what achievement you need in order to get new items.

Vaulting and sprint rework


Vaulting is separated from jumping and instead automatically triggers while sprinting.
Sprint duration is now limited.

Status effects rework


Drugged
Increases movement speed but reduces max health. This effect lasts a full day, if using items that give the Drugged effect while already drugged there’s a chance to become Addicted.

Addicted
Addiction stacks, giving an increasing risk of not retaining the food you consume as well as decreases your max health.
It stacks to 3, increases each morning and stacks are reduced by consuming drugs.
To clear addiction you need to go 2 full days without consuming drugs.

Wounded
If you take 30 or more damage at once or are below 30 health, you become Wounded or gain a wounded stack.
Wounded stacks to 3 and each morning adds a stack.
While wounded, your movement speed is lowered.
Taking damage while wounded may cause infection based on your current stacks.
Some items can remove Wounded.

Infected
You have a chance to become Infected if attacked while being Wounded or by eating certain consumables.
Infection progresses from 1% up to 100% and if you reach 100% you will die.
If you were to gain Infection while already Infected, you instead gain a stack.
Every morning each stack of infection increases the progression of the infection.
You can have up to 3 stacks of infection
Antibiotics will remove a stack of infected, clear all stacks to remove the effect.

Bottles and puddles



All puddles can be collected with an empty bottle resulting in a bottle containing the resource.
You may throw these bottles to create puddles, different bottles and puddles have different uses.

Empty bottle
Used to collect the puddles into a bottle.

Puddle of Water / Bottle of Water
Consumable, extra water source.

Puddle of Acid / Bottle of Acid
A crafting ingredient in bottle form, the puddle slows and damages.

Puddle of Alcohol / Bottle of Alcohol
Can be consumed to gain Drugged and is a crafting ingredient in bottle form, can be lit on fire creating an area of flames the size of a Molotov fire.

Puddle of Gasoline / Bottle of Gasoline
A crafting ingredient in bottle form, can be lit on fire creating an area of flames the size of a Molotov+ fire.
