Long Awaited Update Incoming!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, and I'm sure by now all hope has been lost of Latte Stand Tycoon getting any of the promised love...well, I'm here to say that things are about to change.

Initially, with the last planned update, I had a massive goal that ended up becoming Latte Stand Tycoon +, because it was just such a change, and it didn't make sense to have it just be an update. This left this original game sort of just sitting around, and I just wasn't able to keep up the work on it.

Fast Forward



Sadly, I had lost the original project files, and couldn't work on the game anymore at all...but not too long ago I was able to recover them!

However, even then I wasn't able to spend time on an update because it just simply wasn't in the cards for how much time it'd take with my other work, but I've recently gained full ownership of the game, and now that I have a bit more time to work on it, things are underway!

The Update



Now that I've officially begun working on the update, I can say I'm quite excited about this...but there is one downside - I won't be able to keep the original saves in-tact, so I'll do my best to keep two builds, one for the original and one for the update (this will become the main).

I believe that I can provide a better experience now, though, because I've learned a lot more about game development, and can improve things quite a bit. I can improve on every aspect, make it more animated and fun, while keeping the original game experience intact.

I'm estimating the update will be out by the middle of next month, but I will try to bring it even sooner!

I won't give away any spoilers, but I can say that I'll have a couple new gameplay elements introduced, the UI will be cleaned up a bit, I may or may not keep the delivery driver system - it feels unneeded, but I'd like to hear your thoughts - and I have a fun little addition to celebrate this game coming back from the dead.

I'm greatly looking forward to this update, and I hope you will be too.

Major update incoming: Version 3.0

Great things are coming!



With the launch of Latte Stand Tycoon + on Steam, I've finally buckled down and have nearly finished the overhaul update - Version 3.0.

This update will bring in a complete re-write of the base systems drastically improving performance, balancing, and usability of the game.

The opening cinematic is getting a visual re-design and improved dialogue to better reflect the more developed storyline of the new LST+ - it will not be entirely identical (neither is gameplay for those curious).

There will be plenty of various visual and audio improvements that will polish up the overall experience.

I know it has been a really long time since the original game's release, I just really want to bring the game into a state that it deserves to be in, and that you all deserve to play.

I will be releasing news with a definitive date for version 3.0 in the near future.

This title is the not-so-distant reincarnation of the original "Latte Stand Tycoon." It was the first official game release for the studio, but had various issues, and lacked a "bigger picture."
When going to the drawing board to solve them, and bringing a better experience to the player, we looked at the overall game-play concept and philosophy and restructured them from the ground-up. The only thing that remains is the chaotic weather, setting, people, story, and the concept of coffee, and upgrading your property, and so many things were added.

Version 2.2 – Cuteness Over Quantity

Hi everyone, we're back with another major update!

For this one we focused primarily on improving the visuals and audio of the game to bring a more pleasing experience to the eyes and the ears.

Of course, most of the time went into getting the perfect balancing between recipes, weather, and frequency of game-play, as well as popularity increasing/decreasing so progression in the game feels much better - thanks to community feedback, and our youtubers/streamers.

We feel that the game is in a much better place now; however, like any game (especially a first), we may have missed a few things - we're tiny and need more testers...if you're interested please email about this, or any other feedback at:

Version 2.2

Visual Improvements:



  • The 'buy counts' from the customers now jump out, and bounce, and are more easily to see against the background.
  • Umbrellas now close upon customers entering the canopy, or the atrium, and water will fly out.
  • Stormy days now come with lightning flashes, accompanied by thunder.
  • Random cars will drive-by.
  • We've added a cat that walks between the windows in the house.
  • Customers wear coats on cold days.
  • And of course, the bonus hearts and other changes from v1.8 (technically a part of this major update).


Rebalancing:



  • Bugs that prevented variations in recipes based on the weather have been fixed.
  • Gear now behaves differently, canceling out rainy/snowy days negative effects, and only reducing the storm/blizzard days.
  • Customers spawn rate has been drastically increased, and popularity increasing has be re-balanced so that progression is stretched out.
  • You must now get two aspects of a recipe right, as opposed to one, for a customer to purchase a cup, making it more challenging, and requiring more accuracy.
  • Deliveries now have higher order counts based on popularity, giving more purpose to them.


Other:



  • Shop Menu interaction is now more convenient
  • Various other balancing and bug fixes

Latte Stand Tycoon v2.1

It’s been a great first couple days, and it’s only getting better!

I’d like to thank everyone who has played the game so far, and an extra thanks to those who have provided us with feedback!

Through the discussions and reviews, we have gathered enough information to provide the very first full update, and version 2.1 is now live!

Additions:



  • How To Guide – There is now a quick reference guide that provides an Emoticon key, and some basic tips to help you get started all in one place.


Changes:



  • Improved a few sound effects to make them more appealing.
  • You can now increase purchase count of ingredients faster, and more conveniently by holding down the add or subtract buttons.
  • A few other quality-of-life upgrades have been performed.


Bug Fixes:



  • Auto-refill upgrade fixed.
  • Various other balancing and bug fixes.

Broken Upgrades Hot Fix 1/27/19

Hi all!

Firstly, thank you everyone for the feedback, we have already gotten the opportunity to improve the game for you guys with it, and look forward to polishing it up even more as we go on!

The problem:



It was brought to our attention that we missed a major bug - one that totally breaks the game - but good news, it's been squashed, and the update is already out!

It was a silly mistake, caused by charging you guys for a more expensive upgrade - technically what was happening is we leveled up your stands, and then charged you for the "next" levels price...a simple fix, but a terrible bug.

The solution:



For those affected by this bug and went into the negatives money-wise, this hot fix will also remedy this by rewarding you with $1000 (in-game of course) once you update and open the game back up, so you can continue playing without requiring a restart.

We sincerely apologize for this mistake, and we are doing some hard testing on all upgrades and purchased tonight, and will make sure nothing like this happens.
