Six months since release, added new graphics and a discount
Hallo Ellarians,
Today, we are celebrating six months since Legends of Ellaria was released. Thanks to you, we've made many changes during that time, both in visuals and game tweaks.
We've also added new graphics in today's version and a special discount on our store page to celebrate this occasion.
We want to thank everyone who gave us feedback. Even after its release, you've helped us polish, balance, and add essential parts to Legends of Ellaria.
In the past six months, we've changed the following:
Made major optimizations to the game.
Improved graphics, lighting and atmosphere.
Improved, fixed and tweaked the user interface.
Balanced and tweaked the Druid class to be an unstoppable support class.
Balanced and tweaked the Rift Mage as a multi role mage, able to teleport easier, use guided projectiles and versatile spells. Also, the Rift mage now has the largest maximum mana stat skill points from all mage classes.
Balanced and tweaked the elemental mage class to deliver more raw damage per spell.
Balanced and tweaked the ranger class to have more accuracy at earlier levels, draw arrows faster, deliver more damage and consume less stamina per shot. The ranger class is most dangerous in higher levels, especially when supported by your soldiers.
Balanced and tweaked kingdom management to allow you to build larger kingdoms and use strategic locations. Multiple buildings stats and kingdom management cap penalty were changed based on community requests and rebalancing.
Tweaked the Kingdom research tree to give more versatility to economics and management tree.
Balanced and tweaked weaker military units, such as militia, to allow for an easier start and an easier kingdom defense through your progress.
Added a "Demolish" button to city construction
Improved "Defense Bonus" logic to city and world constructions.
Chapter I is unlocked even if you didn't finish the tutorial.
Made multiple changes to the tutorial.
Changed and tweaked multiple quests and dialogues.
Improved the AI and path finding.
Fixed bugs and added multiple changes based on your suggestions.
In today's version 1.0.1.15 (10/14/21) we changed the following:
Added melee effect and sound.
Added hit effect and blood effect for melee attacks.
Reduced the number of combat shouts for the player during melee attacks.
Changed bow holster location to fit the back in a more natural way.
Bow does not automatically shoot when you run out of stamina.
Increased low stamina arrow speed from 10% to 75%.
Reduced base bow stamina cost from 6 to 4 for short bow.
Reduced base bow stamina cost from 7 to 5 for composite bow.
Reduced base bow stamina cost from 10 to 7 for long bow.
Increased Outpost Defense Bonus from 20 to 50.
And again, we wish to thank you for your feedback. We will continue to fix and tweak any issue we'll find and balance and add things by your suggestion.
In future versions, we will:
Continue to balance kingdom and combat
Continue to optimize Legends of Ellaria
Fix bugs and add tweaks based on your suggestion
Add the Necromancer class
Please continue to play and send us any issues you encounter, and we will address those issues.
Version 1.0.1.11 - Combat Classes Balancing
Hallo Ellarians,
We just uploaded a new version with major balancing to combat damages and stats and a few minor fixes to dialogues and combat mechanics.
We took some of your suggestions and made some extensive tests to make sure that all the player classes are balanced. Some of the classes were weaker than others, and some, like the mage class, were strong at the beginning but would not scale properly as you level up.
Our biggest change was to the ranger class, as we've significantly increased the damage and accuracy at lower levels. We've made sure that the ranger class will be much deadlier and that you won't have to be level 15 or above to gain high bow accuracy
In addition, we fixed a persistent fire enchantment effect that would stay after the effect was done. We also made sure that the player will be able to remove the fire enchantment effect by casting the "Minor Dispel." We also fixed several issues with the merchant guild dialogues.
We wish to thank you for your feedback. We will continue to fix and tweak any issue we'll find and balance and add things by your suggestion. Also, stay tuned for the Necromancer DLC.
Version 1.0.1.11 Changes(8/30/21)
Fixes
Fixed some issues with fire enchantment
Fixed "Minor dispel" not dispelling fire enchantment
Removed unused merchants guild dialogues for merchant chest
Balancing
Added +20% bow accuracy to Veteran Ranger instead of to Master Ranger
Added +30% bow damage for Veteran Ranger
Added +40% bow damage for Master Ranger
Added +30% bow draw speed to One Shot - One Kill
Increased all spell damage multiplier by proficiency by 30%. Higher mage class players will cause more damage

Legends of Ellaria roadmap and plans
Hallo Ellarians,
First of all, we want to thank every one of you for your support over the years, and for your endless feedbacks and playtests, your forum and discord votes, chats, and suggestions.
We released Legends of Ellaria several months ago and received different varieties of feedback. We figured that some people might not connect with the way we designed and balanced the multi-genre gameplay style, but we received more feedback about that than expected.
So what now? After years of constant development, sometimes 24/7 work(a dream job, what are you gonna do 😊 ), we focused on bugs and fixes while managing the team size and overall projects that Larkon Studio does. However, after reading your suggestions, we started to focus more on balancing and tweaking the gameplay and features in our next versions than just on bug fixes. We will improve the gameplay based on your feedback as much as possible as the first thing in our roadmap.
We can't give you exact dates, but we will go by this roadmap and update and add features to it as much as we can,
We want to thank you for your feedback and support. Please keep writing any suggestions on how to improve any aspect of the gameplay. We depend on your feedback and hope to get as much information as possible.

Some Q&A
Greetings, Ellarians!
We've compiled a list of questions about our history and about our future plans. Have fun!
Q: Now that Legends of Ellaria is in full release, will the development continue. A: Yes, it will. We are constantly working on improving and optimizing the game mechanics to run faster and with as few bugs as possible. In addition, we're working on some extra features and DLC's. One of which is the long awaited Necromancer DLC.
Q: Will you improve or change the game's main mechanics, such as the combat system or real-time strategy? A: We're not planning to make any drastic changes beyond optimisations and tweaks to any main mechanics. We're flattered that our combat system and other mechanics were compared to AAA games, but we're a small team and our concept to link first person mechanics to real-time strategy and kingdom management mechanics together in a single game has its limitations. We are personally happy with the results and with the gameplay, as it exceeded our expectations.
Q: What inspired Legends of Ellaria's main story? A: The concept was written a long time ago, during Legends of Ellaria's basic design. We drew a storyboard that spanned between several chapters. The initial story was comic, along with some story driven twists, such as a quest to defeat a monster to ally yourself with your neighbors, only to find out that the beast is a peaceful, huge creature that just misunderstood your neighbor's intention. We later changed the main story to be more serious, as it would miss out on the fantasy and lore aspects if it was too comic.
Because of our main story's complexity and multiple locations, we were worried that we wouldn't be able to design all the locations that you go through. However, we managed to add Marra, Greenside, the northerners' lands, the ancient beast, Arag's castle, the dark one's realms, and the Aunaloth monster through the four chapters in the final release. We were happy with the results and with the different atmospheres and location designs.
Q: There were talks about other features, such as siege weapons, races, etc. Where do we stand on that? A: Our goal was to build the core of Legends of Ellaria and advance with our community's feedback. We learned which features were more important than the other through our community posts and votes and made a list of planned features by priority. Unfortunately, we couldn't add all these planned features.
Some of these features are the siege weapons feature and horses, which were added to a beta version in the legacy but were later removed because of technical limitations or game-breaking mechanics. Others were unique races, such as dwarves, which were too time-consuming to add. On the other hand, we managed to add features which we didn't think we'll be able to add, such as the three mage classes, multiple dimensions, and more.
We are now planning to add some of these features through DLC's, and we're currently working on the Necromancer DLC. We will try to add as many of the requested / planned features as we can.
Q: Community speaking, how did the community contribute, besides the general feedbacks? A: Our community was the backbone of our progress from the early stage of development. We started with general community channels before we released the early access, which grew and participated over time to help us stay on the right track. Our community also participated in votes for features and priorities, as well as actual design concept votes.
Besides that, many of our members helped us with more than feedbacks. Some of them are Bardon, who helped translate much of our lore and dialogues and wrote some of Legends of Ellaria's stories. Others are Nito-Murray, who helped as a community moderator and also tested early versions before others. We also had many other volunteers who helped us test versions of the game before their official release through the beta testing program.
We want to thank our community. Your support helped us shape Legends of Ellaria.
Q: What is Larkon Studio's plans for the future ? Will there be a Legends of Ellaria 2 ? Or any other game? A: We're looking into designing other games, including a design for Legends of Ellaria 2, set in the past during the ancients and dark ones wars. We don't have any information at this time, though.
Meanwhile, we're working on some DLC's for Legends of Ellaria, including the Necromancer DLC. We'll post more information on that in the following weeks.
That is it for today. Let us know If you have any other questions. Also, we will post another patch in the following days with some useful fixes. And again, thank you for your interest. See you in Ellaria,
Larkon Studio
The Druid Class Gameplay
Here's a gameplay of the Druid class. The Druid can summon familiars, use long range magic, and heal. A Druid is best used as support for large armies
