Legion TD 2

New eSports Portal & June Nova Cup!

We're excited to announce the new Legion TD 2 eSports portal!
- Browse through Legion TD 2's tournament history and see the most decorated tournament players.
- The portal will also update in real-time during Nova Cups as they happen live!

You no longer have to crawl through Discord archives and feel like you have to use the Wayback machine just to see who won last Nova Cup.

Scroll down to see the Teams list. (Mostly) gone are the days of needing to have Discord, Challonge, and Google sheets open at the same time!

Discord will still be used for reporting tournament results. We'll continue to refine the website in the coming weeks/months, so you can consider the website as being in beta for now.

And with that in mind, onto the next Nova Cup!

Congratulations to the winners of the May Nova Cup!
- Division 1: abrasiert: Kingdanzz & Widderson
- Division 2: geegee: GehPennen & fine

League Points
The 10 players with the most league points after the December 2022 Nova Cup will receive exclusive in-game badges, numbered 1-10 based on ranking.

Division Rules
  • Ratings are calculated at the time of sign-up.
  • Players must sign up with their highest-rated account. If a player signs up with a smurf, they will be banned from this Nova Cup and the next 2 Nova Cups.
  • Divisions are assigned automatically, primarily based on your peak ranked rating.
  • A team may be moved up or down a division at the discretion of the tournament director at any time. This can occur if a player has a high win rate or previously got 1st in their division, or if it will improve the overall fairness of the tournament.

Substitution
Substitute players are not allowed. If a team cannot present both players in a timely fashion, that team forfeits the next game.

Lobby Creation and Position Priority
  • The team with the better seed has position priority in the first game of each match. Position priority then goes to the team that lost the previous game.
  • The better seed team always creates the custom game lobby and selects “Tournament” as the custom game mode.
  • The better seed always plays on the west team.
  • The team with position priority chooses the sending order.

Reporting Results
The team that wins the match should report the match result to the match results channel in Discord. For example, "Banana Boys beats Brute Gang 2-1."

Remakes
  • In general, we will not honor remake requests. Remakes cause delays that compromise the entire tournament's schedule.
  • You should not request a remake, unless it's an obviously critical bug, such as being unable to build fighters. To request a remake, notify staff that you are requesting a remake immediately at the time of the game-impacting bug. Staff will make a decision based on (1) the severity of the bug, (2) the state of the game, and (3) implications on the tournament's schedule. If it is determined that the bug critically impacted the team's ability to win and if remaking wouldn't disrupt the tournament's schedule, a remake may be granted.
  • Remakes will never be granted if either player on your team leaked >= 40% on any wave (and either player on your team isn’t on fire) before the critical bug or if either opponent is on fire.

For questions, please ask in the Legion TD 2 Official Tournament Discord.

See you on June 25th! The Nova Cup will be casted and streamed at twitch.tv/ltd2

Sincerely,
Your Legion TD 2 Tournament Staff

New Game Coach & Game Manual

Expected patch release: June 16-18

News & Updates
- Next Nova Cup is June 25-26. Signups go live this Friday (June 17) in a separate announcement.

Game Coach 2.0

We're excited to announce the first major update to the Game Coach!

Firstly, new Game Coach personalities are now available in the shop: Cheerful Game Coach and Darth Game Coach. More will come soon (TM).

Each personality changes what the Game Coach says in-game and post-game.

This is only a partial sample. Each Game Coach personality has 20 dialogue lines. Darth Game Coach may or may not get tilted when your ally leaks.

Unlocking a personality automatically unlocks its corresponding secret card. This secret card can be used as an avatar and unlocks a monument slot. However, it cannot be sold/donated, and does not show up in the Card Trader rotation.

Plus, a bunch of QoL improvements:

  • New Game Coach options tab to toggle individual settings. It is now finally possible to completely hide the Game Coach if you don’t like him
  • Added sound effects for some messages (toggle via Options). Each unlockable personality has a different set of sounds.
  • Fixed a few cases of Game Coach tips being too aggressive
  • No longer says “Nice win! But there’s always room for improvement.” He’ll always just be happy when you win.
  • No longer warns you about unspent gold, unless you’re a new player (10 or fewer wins)

New Tutorial & Game Manual

After gathering a lot of feedback directly from players who are new to the game, we saw a lot of improvements that could be made to ease the game’s learning curve.

New Tutorial: Fighter Positioning

This short tutorial teaches new players that positioning makes a difference. This is important not only to play better, but also to appreciate the strategic depth of the game. We saw a pattern of feedback from new players who felt the game was too simple, since they felt positioning didn’t matter. This tutorial hopes to address that concern.

New Codex Tab: Game Manual

This menu acts as a knowledge reference for all the essential controls, gameplay, and systems of Legion TD 2. More pages may be added in future patches.

New Feature: "First-Time" Popups

Various popups containing Game Manual content are now displayed for new players encountering various game mechanics for the first time, such as the first time they choose a legion, ping the ground, or join a guild. These popups won’t appear for older accounts, so veteran players won't be bothered.

New Legion Spell: Glacial Touch

Glacial Touch
Gives a fighter a chilling attack that slows movement speed by 80% for 3 seconds. If the target dies while chilled, it explodes, dealing 120 pure damage in a small area.

New Skin: Arctic Warg

New Skin: Molten Royal Guard

Improvements & Fixes

Major Improvements

  • Guilds: Officers now have permissions to edit guild tagline, set guild avatar, and set guild emblem. We’re still working on a way to transfer guild leadership for guilds with inactive guild leaders.
  • Emoji: New emojis: skull, huff, poop, clown, ninja, moon, and wave
  • In-Game Menu: Replaced “Profile” button with a “Codex” button. This is probably more useful for most players. You can still view your profile in-game via the tab scoreboard.
  • Spectator: Damage Tracker now updates based on the last unit you selected
  • Bots: Now smarter about not sending melee DPS mercenaries on ranged waves
  • Weekly Challenge: Improved formula for selecting challenges, and also avoids picking the same wave two weeks in a row
  • New-Player Experience: Tutorial 1 now explains camera controls as well as informs you about the Codex
  • New-Player Experience: Tutorial 1 now uses Divine instead of Element
  • New-Player Experience: Various popup, text, and graphic improvements
  • Custom Games: Rooms now show the color next to the slot
  • UI: Tweaked Crab icon

Bug Fixes

  • Stability: Fixed a very rare case where players would get assigned into a match they didn’t queue for
  • Audio: Fixed a bug where unit selection sounds would sometimes fade when they weren’t supposed to
  • UI: Fixed a bug where Sunnyside Eggsack icon appeared blurry
  • UI: Fixed a bug where the mini-scoreboard (bottom left) would block the main UI if you sent too many different types of mercenaries
  • Embargo: No longer accidentally disables the “3” hotkey for jumping to the opponent lane
  • Name Reset: Fixed a bug where Matchmaking would sometimes use the incorrect rating during the first match after a name reset
  • Guilds: Fixed a rare case where Guild UI wouldn’t load upon newly creating a guild
  • Cards: Fixed a very rare case where a card wasn’t given in-game after it was earned
  • Tutorial: Fixed a bug where a player would get stuck on part of the Incoming tutorial if playing in 1366x768 or lower resolution
  • Loading Screen: Fixed a case where a player would get stuck in the Legion Select screen if receiving a guild invite while in-game

Game Balance

Legion Spells

Counterattack
- Immediate mythium gain: 40 → 45
- Mythium gain when you leak: 40 → 45

Giant Snail
- Stat bonus: 200 health and 9 damage → 220 health and 10 damage

Magician
- Mana regeneration: 0.5 → 0.55

Overwork
- Mythium rate during wave 12: 35% slower → 30% slower

All of the above legion spells have low pick rates and win rates.

Fighters

Peewee
- Health: 250 → 240

Veteran
- Health: 1400 → 1380

Peewee and Veteran are arcane tanks, clutch pierce DPS, and relevant at all stages of the game. High pick rate and win rate.

Sakura
- Health: 1360 → 1350
- Damage: 99 → 98
- Fixed a bug where Sakura was gaining 2 stacks of Superbloom after clearing wave 10 (should only happen after clearing wave 11+)
- Fixed a bug where Sakura value calculation didn't properly work with Lioness and Alpha Male
- Pinging Sakura now shows its # of stacks

High pick rate and win rate.

Gargoyle
- Health: 280 → 270

Very high pick rate, notably due to its power on wave 3.

Pyro
- Attack speed: 1.3 → 1.27
- Pyromancy: No longer does reduced damage to flying units

Increasing Pyro’s viability as an opening and making it less hard-countered by wave 17.

Harpy / Sky Queen
- Attack speed: 1.9 → 2.0

Still underperforming, so this time they're getting a massive DPS buff. (Massive, in Legion balancing lingo, means about 5.2%)

Nekomata
- Attack speed: 0.92 → 0.9

It's unbearable for us to be mean to a kitty, but Nekomata is one of the strongest units in the game from waves 1-10. High pick rate and win rate.

Canopie
- Health: 4800 → 4850

Canopie has been slightly weak as an arcane tank compared to other options.

Honeyflower
- Health: 1400 → 1370

Deathcap
- Health: 4250 → 4160

Strong opening with high worker potential, especially with Cash Out, and strong late game. High pick rate and win rate.

Millennium
- Attack speed: 0.617 → 0.613
- Explosive Shells: Damage: 35 → 30

Doomsday Machine
- Attack speed: 0.617 → 0.613
- Detonation: Damage: 85 → 75

High win rate.

Angler
- Health: 400 → 420

Bounty Hunter
- Health: 1660 → 1730

Angler was indirectly nerfed by the v9.03 worker change and has a low win rate. This change allows you to sit on Angler and Bounty Hunter longer, rather than rushing to Kingpin.

Grarl
- Health: 1350 → 1330

King Claw
- Mana regeneration: +13%

King Claw is getting a well-deserved buff. However, Grarl’s stats are being slightly reduced to avoid over-buffing an already high pick rate / balanced unit

Yozora / Arctaire
- Attack speed: 1.2 → 1.17

Viable as an opening and the best late game tank. High pick and win rate.

Seadragon / Lifebinder
- Now will only heal Soul Gate & Hell Gate if there are no other injured units to heal

Mercenaries

Imp
- DPS: Unchanged
— Damage: 38 → 46
— Attack speed: 1.25 → 1.02

Nerfing synergy with Pack Leader. Pack Leader + Imp spam was crowding out other similar cost options.

Waves

(18) Wale Chiefs
- Attack speed: 1.75 → 1.61
- Poison-Tipped Pole: 40 area-of-effect magic damage every third attack → 100 single-target magic damage + 40 area-of-effect magic damage every third attack

Giving Wale Chiefs more magic damage (as they had in previous patches) to make natural defense less universally strong for four consecutive waves on 16-19.

Closing Remarks

We hope you enjoy this patch! Thank you again for playing Legion TD 2. And a big thank you to everyone who has purchased skins or other in-game cosmetics so far. You make it possible for Legion TD 2 to continue to be improved & supported without a subscription fee or any P2W mechanics.

We also know a lot of people have asked about the next Campaign. It's too hard to give an exact release date, but know that we are working on it, and the hope is to release it in the Fall or early Winter.

We are also aware of a number of bugs, such as country flags sometimes being missing as well as units sometimes getting stuck (usually in Classic games). We're continuing to investigate & fix these bugs as soon as we can.

If you've enjoyed the game, but haven't left a review yet, please consider posting a short review for the game! It really helps get the word out there.

And as always, if you have constructive criticism, let's chat about it. Discord is our main channel of communication, and aside from the development team, there are community helpers who can ensure your feedback is heard, as well as answer pretty much anything you've ever wanted to know about the game. We know there's still much to improve, so let's work together.

Until next time!

Sincerely,
Lisk, Jules, Curing, and Dani

Just a small balance patch based on v9.04 data, Nova Cup, and other feedback.

• Income penalty after wave 10: -38 → -37

Castle
• Income bonus after wave 10: +43 → +44
Slight buffs to Cartel and Castle to diversify the playstyle meta.

This makes Counterattack less niche and more versatile.

Chloropixie
• Damage: 43 → 44

Sakura
• Health: 1400 → 1360
• Damage: 100 → 99
• Superbloom: 140 health and 10 damage → 110 health and 8 damage
• Superbloom now gives 2 stacks starting wave 11
• Sakura value increase per Superbloom stack: 20 → 15
• Fixed value-based interactions with Alpha Male & Lioness
Less strong as an opening, but now viable to build in the mid and late game.

Killer Slugs
• Attack speed: 1.205 → 1.19

Wale Chief
• Health: 7900 → 8100
Chonkier Chiefs make sending on wave 18 more rewarding.

v9.04.2

Quick hotfixes for v9.04.

Fixes
• Fixed a bug where a Secret Card was missing from the shop
• Fixed a rare bug where the Card Trader ripped you off and didn’t give you a card. Please make a support ticket at http://legiontd2.com/bugs if this happened to you, so we can verify your account and process a refund.

Counterattack
• Mythium: 50 → 60

Seedling:
• Attack speed: 0.91 → 1

Chloropixie
• Damage: 42 → 43

• Damage: 150 → 155

As usual, we're actively monitoring the patch for bugs. We'll be releasing hotfix patches regularly as needed. We'll continue buff Sakura/any other new units if needed.

  • Defense type: Natural
  • Attack type: Magic

Sakura’s fighter value increases by 20 per stack of Superbloom.

New Legion Spell: Counterattack

Counterattack
Everytime you leak, gain +50 mythium.

New Skin: Hypnotic Angler

New Secret Card: I'm Outta Here

New secret cards are available in the Card Trader for the first 3 days after the patch goes live. After that, it will return to the usual randomized selection each day. Visit the Card Trader to see which in-game event can trigger a drop!

New Feature: Win Probability Graph

Available for all matches played in v9.04 and onward, via the post-game Graphs menu. Win probability is based off of power score, king health, king upgrades, and wave number. The goal is to provide an easy-to-interpret number that shows which team was ahead/behind throughout the game. Just like MVP and Power Score, we will get the formula exactly right on the first try. As usual, the formula will continue to be adjusted in future patches.

Improvements & Fixes

Major Improvements

  • Tooltips: Holding down CTRL now displays unit upgrade information.
  • Audio: New sounds for the following units: Banana Bunk, Banana Haven, Buzz, Consort, Dragon Turtle, Four Eyes, Froggo, Harpy, Hermit, Kraken, Looter, Pack Rat, Safety Mole, Sky Queen, Violet, Yozora. Plus, new sounds for Workers, including bonus sounds that play if you have at least 20 workers and queue up at least 4 workers. Thanks to Gibby#8394 aka LegendaryGibby for continuing to breathe new life into the Legion world.
  • Secret Cards: Newly released secret cards will now show up in the shop for 3 days after each release.

Minor Improvements

  • Spectator: Win Probability formula improved
  • Spectator: Added a Rerolls column
  • Tooltips: Mousing over a unit’s defense now displays % mana regen in addition to the actual mana regen. Now you can see how much that Starcaller is really helping.
  • Holy Avenger & Sovereign: After hitting max stacks, now displays number of splash attacks remaining as a buff
  • “-load” Sandbox command: Now automatically chooses/places the Legion Spell
  • Some translation fixes & updates

Bug Fixes

  • Gameplay: Fixed a bug where Hero-style abilities (Hero, Villain, Magician, etc.) were not recovered after selling a non-newly built fighter that you just put the spell on that wave.
  • Game UI: Fixed a bug where attack target indicators (red glow) would wrongly persist after the attack target died. Also fixed a bug where the glow didn’t scale to fit the target unit.
  • Match History: Fixed a bug where Classic match entries showed the wrong rating badge next to players’ names

API Support

  • Web tooltips are now provided in HTML format rather than markup, which should hopefully make tooltips easier to render.
  • (Coming Soon) Added a Value Per Wave field

Game Balance

Overall Balance

Pathing & Targeting
- Fixed some cases where a shorter-ranged fighter would get stuck behind a longer-ranged fighter in front of it. Fighters may stack on top of each other a little more as a side-effect of this change.
- Fixed some rare cases of units getting stuck

We’ll keep a close eye on these changes and revert them ASAP if needed.

Workers
- Mythium rate increase per wave after wave 10: +8% → +7%

Based on data and player feedback, the worker change from last patch (v9.03) has made the mid-game more exciting, but went a little overboard causing huge mythium amounts that dwarf the power of the wave. This made mid/late game saves a little too difficult to pull off. This change should put it in a better spot. We will continue to keep a close eye on things and make future adjustments as needed!

Upgrade King Regeneration
- Health regen: 0.004% max health + 0.004% missing health → 0.005% max health + 0.005% missing health

The reward for upgrading regen hasn't been worth the loss in pressure. This should make upgrading regen more on-par with upgrading attack/spell.

Mastermind

Castle
- Bonus income after wave 10: +40 → +43

Castle struggled to keep up with the increased mid-game worker counts, especially among high Elo players. Along with the worker reduction, this buff should put them in a better spot.

Fiesta
- Bonus gold from leaking: 13-48 → 13-51

The Fiesta rework succeeded in making it less reliant on leaking the first few waves, but it’s still underperforming as a whole. This buff increases the amount of gold gained on waves 3-21.

Legion Spells

Magician
- Mana regeneration: 0.47 → 0.5

Lowest win rate and 4th least picked legion spell

Pawn Shop
- Gold gained: 80 → 75

4th highest win rate and 2nd most picked Legion spell

Fighters

Pack Rat
- Treasure Hunt: Mythium gain: 11 → 12

Pack Rats were indirectly nerfed by last patch’s mythium changes, and the data confirmed they were underperforming.

Win rate: Low
Pick rate: Low

Atom
- Health: 700 → 670

Last patch’s buff pushed Atom from statistically one of the worst units to too strong. Decreasing their health will nerf Atom spam builds and make them more reliant on a solid frontline.

Win rate: High
Pick rate: Average

Harpy / Sky Queen
- Attack speed: 1.82 → 1.9

Win rate: Average
Pick rate: Very Low

Sea Dragon & Lifebinder
- Mana regeneration decreased by 5%
- Fixed some (but not all) cases where they would waste their heal on a unit that just died

Win rate: High
Pick rate: High

Holy Avenger
- Health: 2550 → 2510
- Attack speed: 1.2 → 1.18

Sovereign
- Health: 6550 → 6450
- Attack speed: 1.2 → 1.18

Win rate: Very High
Pick rate: High

Hydra
- Damage: 126 → 138
- Hydraling: Damage: 42 → 46

Hydra was indirectly nerfed by last patch’s mythium changes, and its win rate dropped by 10%! Buffing Hydra’s damage will make it more versatile.

Win rate: Very Low
Pick rate: Very Low

Waves

Killer Slugs
- Attack speed: 1.23 --> 1.2

(18) Wale Chiefs
- Health: 7650 → 7850
- Attack speed: 1.72 → 1.75

These guys are still too weak after the previous hotfix. Other waves seem to be in a pretty good spot, at least for now.

Closing Remarks

We hope you enjoy this patch! Thank you again for playing Legion TD 2. Knowing that people are enjoying the game is what encourages us to continue to make it even better after all these years.

For questions, please @Seraphin or @nattodog in the Discord.

See you on May 28th! The Nova Cup will be casted and streamed at twitch.tv/ltd2

Sincerely,
Lisk, Jules, Curing, and Dani

v9.03.6

Fixes
• Fixed a bug with Custom Games with Tournament Mode where an observer would cause rerolls to not function properly
• Fixed a bug where some floating texts (most noticeably, gold texts) didn’t show up under certain circumstances, typically shortly after moving the camera

Improvements
• Improved recommended value formula for Wave 21+
• Slight improvements to post-game MVP formula
• Some tooltip updates

Tournaments
• Fixed a bug with Spectator mode where Openings didn’t update properly at the beginning of the game

Game Balance
• Wave 18 (Wale Chiefs): Attack Speed: 1.64 → 1.72
After the bug fixes from last week, Wave 18 was underpowered. This should put it in a good spot.

v9.03.4

Major Fixes

  • Wave 18: Fixed a bug where Poison-Tipped Pole was dealing 150 Impact damage per AOE attack instead of 40 Magic damage. After fixing this bug, it now deals AOE damage every 3rd attack instead of every 5th attack. Still an overall significant nerf.

There’s no getting around it - we screwed this one up pretty bad. At least it’s fixed now.

Improvements

  • Improved Spectator Mode win probability formula

Balance

  • Dual Building: Fighters now take 35% reduced damage from AOE spells. This makes Wave 18 less impossible for dual builds.

Minor Fixes

  • Power Score: Fixed a bug with Cartel/Castle accidentally influencing Power Score past wave 11
  • Other minor fixes related to v9.03

v9.03.1, v9.03.2, and v9.03.3 contained various fixes related to v9.03.

Thanks everyone for being patient with us as each new patch brings its own wrinkles to iron out!

Fiesta Rework, Creator Boost, Card Fragments

Expected release: April 25-27

April Nova Cup

The April Nova Cup takes place April 30-May 1. Sign-up begins now. First come, first served.

Community Spotlight

Shout-out to a new community site legionlord.com. View player profiles and the win rates of units, openings, playstyles, and legion spells. More to come!

Creator Boost

Content creators who join the Legion Partnership Program now get a Creator Boost with a unique creator code. Any player purchasing premium essence can enter a creator code. 10% of the $ purchase price will go directly to the creator.

This allows us to say thank you to all the content creators who play the game. It also allows the community to support active Legions creators.

If you're a creator, apply to the Legion Partnership Program at nexus.gg/legion

Card Fragments

Unlocking cards from the Card Trader now gives you card fragments. Card fragments can be used to unlock a card of your choice from the Card Trader.

The primary ways to collect cards are still unlocking them randomly from the Card Trader or finding them as drops in-game. Card fragments are a new way on top of that.

The number of card fragments needed to unlock a card of your choice depends on its rarity:
  • Uncommon: 20
  • Rare: 24
  • Epic: 28
  • Legendary: 32
  • Secret: 100

Additionally, if you unlock 10 random cards in a row without drawing a secret card, the Card Trader takes pity on you and gives you 10 card fragments for free!

New Skin: Pandemic Pack Rat

New Skin: Infernal Oathbreaker

New Secret Card: Nyan Boar

Visit the Card Trader to see which game event can trigger a drop!

Card Collection & Trophy Case

Cards and trophies are now more fun to collect and show off!

Improvements & Fixes

Essence Gain
All % boosts are now multiplicative instead of additive. This means that each bonus remains impactful when combined with other bonuses. For most players, especially ones with high Guild Contribution, this means more essence.

Improvements
  • Audio: Various unit sound & music volumes have been normalized to fix many cases where certain sounds were too loud or too quiet.
  • Spectator Mode: Added more information to the overlay: openings, builds, net worth, and +/- recommended value.
  • Chat: New Emoji: : care :
  • MVP: Improved formula

Major Fixes
  • Fixed a rare bug where a player would fail to connect to a match if two players connected at almost exactly the same time (more common when players are on the same network)
  • Fixed a rare bug where players would fail to connect to the login server for several minutes
  • Fixed some rare cases of game instability

Minor Fixes

  • Holy Avenger & Sovereign: Fixed a bug when reviving from Guardian Angel where their health wasn’t properly capped at 1500 due to gaining bonus health from their Aegis / Final Judgment buff
  • Custom Games: Fixed a bug with Tournament mode where players couldn’t see legion spells in the team chat window
  • Postgame: Fixed a bug where Classic matches didn’t show your correct rating badge
  • Profile: Fixed a bug with screen tearing when using the scrollbar via mouse clicks (not mouse wheel)
  • Audio: Fixed a bug where adjusting Special Theme volume didn’t update immediately if a track was currently playing
  • Misc: Fixed some tooltips

Game Balance

Worker Rework
- Mythium gather rate now increases by 8% every wave after wave 10. This also applies to workers you trained previously.
- Removed x2 Workers on waves 16+

The goal of this change is to encourage workers in the mid game and discourage overbuilding before wave 15, which slowed down the pace/fun of the game.

This is an experimental change. Depending on community feedback, we'll keep it, make adjustments, or revert it. Big changes require time to learn and judge, so please give us time to properly evaluate.

King
- Health on wave 18 decreased by 5% (compensating for the fact that Wave 18 now deals less damage to the king)
- 4v4 only: Health decreased by 7.5%

The king is too beefy in 4v4, especially with how leaks stream in, rather than grouping up first.

Mastermind Playstyles

Fiesta
- Reward for leaking: +4 income → 13-48 gold, based on the wave number

This rework makes Fiesta a legitimate playstyle about aggressive play patterns and risk-taking throughout the entire game, rather than a cheese playstyle focused largely on pro-leaking waves 1-3.

Legion Spells

Battle Scars
No longer targets Soul Gate & Hell Gate (it was mostly useless on them)

Magician
- Mana regeneration: 0.44 → 0.47

Win rate: Very low
Pick rate: Low

Pulverizer
- Attack speed: 6% → 4%

Win rate: High
Pick rate: High

Buffed and slightly less hard-countered by Safety Mole.

Win rate: Low
Pick rate: Low

Harpy / Sky Queen
- Attack speed: 1.72 → 1.82

Our goal is to see Harpy on early waves, including as part of openings.

Win rate: Very low
Pick rate: Very low

Sea Dragon / Lifebinder
- Mana regeneration decreased by 10%

Sea Dragon is strong in both low and high Elo games, but dominates particularly hard in lower Elo.

Win rate: High
Pick rate: Very low

Tempest
- Health: 750 → 780

Leviathan
- Attack speed: 1 → 1.05

Win rate: Very low
Pick rate: Average

- Attack speed: 1.22 → 1.2

Arctaire
- Health: 4380 → 4320
- Attack speed: 1.22 → 1.2

A strong opening, strong with healing and life gain effects, and one of the best late game units.

Win rate: High
Pick rate: Average

Disciple
- Mana regeneration increased by 5%

Starcaller
- Mana regeneration decreased by 5%

Shifting power from Starcaller into Disciple. Increasing the viability of Disciple opening and building Disciples next to Starcaller.

Win rate: Average
Pick rate: Average

Lord of Death
- Mana cost: 40 → 38

Hades
- Mana cost: 70 → 68

Despite having some standout moments, Lord of Death and Hades underperform on average.

Win rate: Very low
Pick rate: Low

Holy Avenger
- Health: 2600 → 2550
- Attack speed: 1.23 → 1.2

Sovereign
- Health: 6660 → 6550
- Attack speed: 1.23 → 1.2

Last patch’s changes made them feel less oppressive with lifesteal, but were a massive buff on average.

Win rate: High
Pick rate: High

Waves

Waves 15, 18, 19, and 20 are now stronger against cheap unit spam. Wave 20 is nerfed overall.

(15) Quadrapuses
- DPS: Unchanged
- Damage: 110 → 96
- Giant Quadrapus: Damage: 440 → 384
- Attack speed: 1.1 → 1.25

(18) Wale Chiefs
- Poison-Tipped Pole: 300 magic damage every fourth attack → 100 area of effect magic damage every fourth attack. No longer refreshes on kill.

(19) Dire Toads
- New ability: Split Shot: Attacks up to 3 targets per attack (can still hit the same target multiple times)
- DPS: 272 → 265
— Damage: 95 → 114
— Attack speed: 2.86 → 0.78

(20) Maccabeus
- Health: 70000 → 60000
- Devour: Health per kill: 150 → 300

We hope you enjoy the patch!

Sincerely,
Lisk, Jules, Curing, and Dani
