Director's Cut hotfix now available!

Hello everyone.

Some people were reporting that the new Codex menu option introduced in the Director's Cut update was preventing them from changing their party members. This has now been fixed - the Party option should now appear on the menu again.

Best wishes,
Gaia

Director's Cut update is live!

Hi everyone.

Since Legionwood 2 has been getting some love lately due to the prequel's release on Steam, we thought we'd say thank you to the community and add some neat new things to the game.

This update includes the following changes:
  • Enemies now use the smarter AI from Heroes of Legionwood.
  • All six endings have been expanded with a few paragraphs of epilogue text.
  • You can now access a lore codex from the menu.
  • Difficulty settings have been revised and the intro scene is much easier.

'Journey to Charn' DLC now available!

Hi all.

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the beginning of Legionwood 2's development. Here at Dark Gaia Studios, we were feeling a little nostalgic, so we decided to put together a FREE DLC to celebrate.

'Journey to Charn' picks up after the fight with Cercei at the end of the game, and fills in the gap between your companion's funeral and the encounter with Marcus in the ending. You'll get to fight your way through an all new final dungeon made complete with a new, true final boss, while also visiting some old locations from Legionwood 1 along the way. There's also a couple of random bits of dialogue that have been sprinkled throughout the game to clarify some story elements and establish foreshadowing for Heroes of Legionwood.

To install the DLC, simply download the latest update for the game through Steam. Load up a game that was saved BEFORE the Circei fight, and you're ready to go.

Happy adventuring!

OS X version now available!

Hey everyone.

We're happy to announce that the Mac port of Legionwood 2 is now available, thanks to the efforts of the team over at Jammed Gears Studios!

Porting a game made in RPG Maker VX Ace to non-Windows systems is no easy task but after several months of trial and error and a lot of very tedious testing, we've succeeded in creating a version of the game that will run on most Mac systems. As a developer who primarily works with Windows systems, we were really out of our comfort zone trying to test the game on the many variations of OS X out there, but we're confident that we've managed to deliver an experience as close to the original Windows version as possible.

The Jammed Gears team have been developing Mac ports of RPG Maker games for over 2 years and are responsible for the OS X version of the cult classic Yume Nikki, so we think Legionwood 2 is in good hands.

Happy (Mac) adventuring!

Version 1.6.1 is live!

Hail, adventurers and well met.

Today the 1.6.1 patch for Legionwood 2 went online and it adds some cool new features to the game to increase replayability and address some player feedback.

The new features include:

-Difficulty levels! You can now play the game on Casual, Normal or Purist mode, each of which has different enemy strengths and gold/EXP rates.

-Enemy stats have been slightly tweaked throughout the game to scale with the difficulty levels better.

-A rare bug causing a premature Game Over during the final boss fight has been fixed.

-Slight tweaks to the morality system and endings to make it harder to be "locked into" a certain path.

This patch also adds some coding to the game that prepares completed game save files for export into the upcoming Legionwood 3, so you may experience a slight moment of lag when saving after viewing one of the game's endings.

Version 1.6.0 is now online!

Hi adventurers.

The 1.6.0 update for Legionwood 2 is now online, addressing some issues in the newly released Bardsong DLC.

This patch includes the following changes:

- The boulder puzzle in the Ancient Ziggurat now works correctly.
- Rebalanced the Bard class.
- Rebalanced several mid-game enemies to account for the new EXP curve introduced in the DLC.
- Added an alternate version of the Annunaki boss for evil parties to face.

Bardsong DLC is here!

Greetings, adventurers!

The Legionwood 2 Bardsong DLC went live today, adding a sizable chunk of new stuff to the game. This brand new free DLC adds a new optional dungeon, the Ancient Ziggurat, and implements the much requested Bard class to the game, complete with its own set of unique Techs that open up a bunch of new strategies.

The new dungeon is located in the game's second act, becoming accessible after completion of the story events in Ferrum. At this point in the game, your characters should be at a high enough level to try the new content, but if you want an easier time you do have the option of playing it later. All in all, there's about an hour or so of new content to explore.

The Bardsong DLC will download automatically when you launch Legionwood 2 in Steam, provided you have Automatic Updates turned on. The DLC also includes a handful of tweaks and bug fixes, so while it is a fairly large update, it's highly recommended you allow Steam to download it.

Happy adventuring!

1.5.5 Update has been released!

- The Shaman class can now be obtained in Entoban if it is missed earlier in the game.
- Some small dialogue tweaks.
- The ruins south of Khusan on the world map are now accessible.

This patch should automatically download the next time you launch Legionwood 2, provided you have Automatic Updates turned on in Steam.
