Lemon Cake - New Bedroom & Pets!
This update includes a whole new room you’ll be able to visit… Your very own bedroom! After all your hard work around the bakery, Miss Bonbon’s finally been able to open up her old bedroom for you to rest. You’ll find it in the attic, just above the kitchen. But just like the bakery, the bedroom is in a bit of disrepair and will need to be cleaned up!
You’ll be able to purchase upgrades for the bedroom through a new skill tree, which includes a lot of cosmetic updates like curtains, paintings and plants. There are also three pets you can now adopt and keep in your room… And you might even find out some new secrets about Miss Bonbon in the library up there!
Lemon Cake - New Character & Minigame!
This update includes a new character, Inspector Mustache! An old nemesis of Miss Bonbon, the bakery inspector, comes back to make sure you’re keeping the place clean… And bug free!
With the inspector comes a new bug catching minigame, where you’ll have to catch as many bugs as you can around the bakery in a minute. In exchange for your help, Inspector Mustache will pay you back for each bug you catch! This minigame allows you to quickly gain gold, which will be especially helpful in the early game!
You’ll also be able to wear 3 new hats in the game: A sprout hat, bunny hat and hamster hat!
In addition to this, I’ve also made a few other fixes to the game based on recent feedback:
- The magic broom now counts for the “Swing the broom” achievement.
- You can add multiple of the same item type on the rail cart.
- Balanced the late game XP gain to progress faster.
I’ll be starting to work on the second content update for Lemon Cake this week… The bedroom update! This will allow you to visit a new room at the end of the day, which you’ll be able to upgrade with decorations, pets and snacks! I’m currently planning on releasing it later this spring, so keep an eye out for more news about it! :)

Lemon Cake Patch #2
- Added left mouse click to interact.
- Added right mouse click to sprint.
- Fixed a bug where not all keyboard inputs could be rebinded.
- Increased the value of some early pastries.
- Fixed a bug where the Sweet Pretzel wasn’t displayed as vegan.
- Bonus tip percentage can now go over 100%.
- Pastries placed in the display windows now sell for their full value.
- Prevent the player from getting stuck petting a cat at the end of the day.
- Highlight purchasable upgrades in the skill tree.
I’m making some really good progress on our first content update which will include a new minigame to catch bugs and earn some extra money and a new character! I think this update will be a nice addition to Lemon Cake and I expect to release it in the next few weeks.
