Update : Greenworks and NW.js
Les Quatre Alices had been updated with Greenworks v.0.12.0 and NW.js v.0.26.6. This should help with the various issues several Windows 7 users were experiencing. Either the game would crash, the steam client would crash, or the game would work but, when closed, it would still appear in the task manager. If you still got an issue with the game, please leave a comment below, so I may check if there is anything else I can do to help.
Windows 7 and crash with Steam Overlay.
If you are a Windows 7 user, there is a possibility that the game would crash upon launching. This issue only occurs with some users, not for everyone. The problem was caused by a line of code used in Steamworks with NW.js to enable Steam Overlay. While the most recent version of NW.js – 0.27.1 – would have solved this issue (that’s what I read anyway), I cannot update the game with it because the most recent version of the plugin I used for the Steam Achievements – Greenworks – is not compatible. This might take a while before Greenworks get another update so, in the meantime, there are two options at launch. The game with the Overlay, and the game without it. So, if the game crash for you, you can use the No Overlay version to play it.
