- the accepted difference expands by one division every 3 seconds
- eventually matches up even with a maximum difference

A matchmaking timer will create more opportunity to find better matching opponents.
If you enter ranked mode and get a countdown, that means there is a player available that doesn't have the same division as you. The smaller the difference, the earlier you get matched up with them.

It was possible to exploit the buffer that requires you to lose two times before going down a division for progressing through the ranks. This also generated an excess amount of points on the board.
To combat both of these issues, the buffer is now limited to division 8. Season 6 may last longer than the previous ones as a result.
community tournaments
There are several community tournaments lined up on multiple platforms, here are the ones played on Steam:
The Swingbait Special, a global tournament happening in a few hours.
The Blaze vs. LL1, a global tournament happening in a week - where the losers bracket is played in the first Lethal League game! It has a prize pool tied to the number of entrants and a player bounty.
And the Buntfest 2020 at the end of the month, a European tournament with a prize pool of 100€ and a bonus prize for the best corpse juggle during the tournament stream.

Nuclear Nourishment Outfit for Toxic
This is how Toxic came upon her new equipment:
Seeing the potential in Dust & Ashes, Toxic took on an odd-job in the West Shine City Hospital to find out more about the person Dust was before his amnesia. Having found no trace of such a patient while going through the records, she instead found out about certain classified medical experiments. She didn't care much about the subject as she did for the high tech equipment they had made for it that was supposedly stashed away in an underground South Shine City facility. In between vats filled with spinal cords that didn't seem human, she found what she was looking for. Gear for a special occasion.

Ranked Season 4
With the start of season 4, the steam leaderboards of all previous seasons are now public. It's a great way to see the top 200 players from back then or how far you and your friends made it.

Medical Mashup Update releases on June 19
The DLC
Already promised away as a prize to the top 3 of the first Quarantined Rapport (the largest global Lethal League tournament to date!), the two Toxic DLC outfits will become available for purchase.
- The Nuclear Nourishment colorway. A dark nurse themed outfit with a biohazard spinal fluid injection arm.
- The N. N. Second Opinion colorway. A cute twist on the Nuclear Nourishment outfit, but the needles go just as deep.
The two winners of the North American and European Quarantined Rapport tournament today will receive this on top of their cash prize.

The Changelist
Characters
- Grid bunts out of special again
- Candyman's special meter maxes out at 1 during a candy chain

- The pyrotechnics have moved further away from the Paradise Field stadium cage
- All the Retro stages are available online
- The Retro stages after City Streets are easier to unlock
- New random retro stage option to unlock
- All visual issues on Retro stages are fixed
- Retro stages only appear in competitive or ranked, if both players select one
Ranked Season 4
With the release of this update we are also moving into a new ranked season. The feedback for the season 3 progression has been overall positive with a single issue: The most dedicated players have all maxed out by now. That means they haven't just reached the highest 3 star first division, but the absolute maximum ranking score! To account for that the next season will have a much sharper ramp for the highest divisions and we may start to swap into new seasons more frequently outside of game updates.
