Turn your ordinary Zoom call into a noir rendezvous
Hey Fighters,
We hear the cool kids use this new spy... erm, messaging app called Zoom. It's super cool! And we made some custom Liberated-themed backgrounds for our meetings. Feel free to use them:
The pen is mightier than the sword, and the keyboard is mightier than AK-47! Help us piece the truth about LIBERATED together on our newly launched Wiki.
We invite you to the place where you can leak the most guarded truths about the State, and reveal the best hidden secrets of the Liberated. If you're following us closely and can piece the facts together, feel free to contribute.
Remember: it doesn't matter who makes history. What matters is who writes the history book.

What has fourteen legs and makes beeping noises?
A half-assed segway into this introduction to Walkabout Games.
Listen, there's no interesting way to start talking about a publisher, really, but bear with us, these guys are worth a minute of your time.
We haven't met anyone like them. Walkabout Games is a company that takes promising game ideas and helps the authors develop them into actual games. The main criteria are:
your game has to have an interesting idea behind it,
it has to try to break out of the mold.
That's right, they want to make something new, not just rehash old and tired ideas. That's why they picked up Liberated (a playable graphic novel), Wanderlust: Travel Stories (playable travel memoirs), and other games that will be revealed soon. We believe this is just a healthy thing to do for video games in general: to support the more ambitious, outside-the-box ideas.
So, give Walkabout Games a shot. Visit their Steam page, follow them. It's an easy, free, and effective way to support them.
Now that all the events that featured our demo are over (for now), let's take a look at the press reactions.
The version of Liberated that you could play in the Spring Game Festival was a press demo we originally made for big events (PAX, GDC, EGX etc.). Most of these were cancelled due to you-know-what, but nonetheless these good folks persevered. So they did, but did they like it?
IGN placed us among the Best of Rezzed 2020
"Remember how the Max Payne games told the story via graphic novel segments before each mission? That’s also how noire thriller Liberated reveals its narrative, but it goes one step further: you play the game within those panels, too."
PC Gamer, too, digs the style of Liberated, and that goes for both the hand-drawn art and the comic book presentation.
"After playing Liberated's free demo, I can certainly vouch for its coolness. (...) It's cool to see that Atomic Wolf hasn't only been inspired by the art style of comic books, but the entire medium as a whole. The team have thought about the intricacies of how a reader interacts with the pages of a comic and have cleverly brought them into the game."
Did you get the chance to play Liberated when the demo was available? If you did and liked it, or if you didn't play but still think the game looks neat - WISHLIST and FOLLOW us. It might just be a matter of life and death, you never know, better play it safe.
30,000 Wishlist Challenge is COMPLETE! Music Track UNLOCKED
We are LEGION!
Thanks to you we've hit our milestone of 30,000 Steam Wishlists. We promised you that if we manage to do it, we'll share a full music track from the Liberated soundtrack. You got us WAY beyond 30k, so here it is!
The track is titled This Side of Tomorrow and it was composed by our maestro Robert Purzycki. Enjoy!
We've hit 30k, but the more of us, the better, so if you haven't added Liberated to your Wishlist yet, consider doing so. From a developer standpoint, every single Wishlist helps.
Thanks for your support, and until next time, Fighters!
