We're today very excited to finally be able to announce that you can now pre-order the Life Is Strange soundtrack… on compact cassette!
We have always felt that the licensed soundtrack of Life Is Strange is a key part of the game and the amount of accolades and awards the soundtrack won underlined just that. On top of this, the fan-interest in the limited run of vinyls' we pressed for the release of the Limited Edition clearly demonstrated an interest in alternative media formats.
Armed with this knowledge, we returned to the drawing board… the result of our efforts is a product that is both a throwback to the old days and part of one of the fastest resurging areas of the music industry - mixtapes.
To celebrate this momentous occasion we will also be including a bonus track - Hawt Dawg Man's Theme - on the first batch of mixtapes we produce. As this iconic character's theme will ONLY be available on the mixtape, it's highly unlikely you'll ever be able to hear an illegally ripped version of it on YouTube, so do pre-order the mixtape here before it sells out to avoid disappointment!
We hope you'll have as much fun listening to the mixtape as we did creating it!

Happy Limited Edition Launch Day North America!
The big day finally dawns… the Limited Edition of Life is Strange is out now in North America!
It's been almost a year since we first released Episode 1: Chrysalis, to the world. From day one we were able to see what a special game we had in our hands and the trust the community put in us to get it right, but we never imagined just what an impact it would actually have. It was staggering to see Life is Strange garner over 75 Game of the Year awards and listings as well as a host of more specialist awards including best character (Chloe), best soundtrack, best performance (Ashly Burch) and many more.
The physical offerings of the Limited Edition include an artbook, the full soundtrack to Life is Strange and the game itself on disc. Additionally, we're today releasing patches that will unlock the extra subtitles (Spanish (Mexican & Castilian), Brazilian-Portuguese, Portuguese, German and Italian) as well as the Directors' Commentary to all digital edition owners. Given the Limited Edition's rarity, these were two features that we felt the entire community deserved to receive. On top of this, today's patch also includes further polish and minor improvements to all episodes and some bug fixes.
The Directors' Commentary is a free download for everyone who owns Episode 1 and can be downloaded here. The extra subtitles should be integrated into your game via a patch.
From what we've seen on the Life is Strange social channels, many of you will be picking up Life is Strange for the second time today, having previously downloaded each episode individually. Others will be picking up the game for the very first time to see what the fuss is all about. However much time you've previously invested in to Life is Strange, we wanted to thank you for the all the support you've given us in whatever form - without it, Life is Strange wouldn't be what it is today.

Life is Strange Demo Out Now!
We're now just over one month away from the release of the boxed Limited Edition of Life is Strange, which will be releasing worldwide on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam. If you haven't played Life is Strange yet, or if you know someone who might be interested in giving it a go, you'll be happy to hear that we've today released a free demo for it on Steam so you or they can check it out before buying it.
The demo has the same gameplay content as the previously released Xbox 360 / Xbox One and PlayStation 3 / PlayStation 4 demos and can be downloaded right here.
And if you really enjoyed playing the first bit of Life is Strange through the demo, you can already pre-order the boxed Limited Edition which will be released on 19 January (US) and 22 January (EU) next year.
