Development is underway on Light Up the Holidays once more and I'm excited to announce the Halloween update for 2019. It features some spooky decorations to change things up in your scenes.
And lastly, development continues for Sandbox mode where you will be able to build your own houses to decorate. It should hopefully be ready in time for the holidays this year.
Happy Halloween!
v.1.0.3 - New decorations and a new video card
It turns out my video card was definitely very dead. RIP 980ti, hello new RTX card. I might as well future proof my PC for the most cutting edge game dev.
Update 1.0.3 is here with the addition of a few new decorations:
The Decorative Bell:
The Bush:
In addition, several small bug fixes and behind the scenes things have been done to accommodate an early version of multi select coming soon. Sandbox mode is also still under way and an early version of that could be possible before Christmas.
PC Issues and Updates
Like some kind of Christmas miracle (or curse?) some part of my PC has decided to die on me days after launching the game. All signs point to GPU with random PC hardlocks and fluctuating clock speeds/fps when I do manage to run something.
In other words updating the game may be a bit slow while I try and troubleshoot the issue. Stay tuned for updates on the situation.
v.1.0.0 Launch and What's to Come
Light Up the Holidays is officially out but that doesn't mean development will stop. There's plenty of weeks left of decorating in December so stay tuned.
Here are some of the things that will be coming soon in addition to bug fixes and quality of life features.
New decorations
New styles of lights
Multi-selection
Sandbox mode
Sandbox mode will hopefully give users even more creative control. The idea is to allow the the placement of building pieces to make the creation of simple houses easy. This should provide even more creativity for the user to enjoy and hopefully allow the recreation of homes and famous buildings.
