Lightrise is now $0.99!
As some of you probably noticed, I've decided to make Lightrise $0.99 for the time being. I've been reading the feedback, and although everyone who's played the game loves it, the population just isn't there.

I feel it's most important to build a community, so making it super cheap is my plan for now and the foreseeable future. No immediate updates are planned, as overall, the game is pretty stable as-is and I don't want to disrupt that! Thanks!

Actual Steam Winter Sale
NOW the Steam Winter Sale of 80% off Lightrise begins. Apparently I couldn't have 2 overlapping discounts (even though the backend allowed me to set it up that way!), so Steam took the liberty of suspending the winter sale discount until the launch discount was completed (7 days)! Sorry for the confusion!

LAUNCH DAY + WINTER SALE
Well, today is finally the day. We are launching and the game will be on sale for the duration of the winter sale. Rejoice!

It will be more difficult with the holidays front and center, but I'll be watching the game on Steam and hopefully jumping in and talking to and playing with players as much as I can.

Over the next few months, I'll be gathering feedback, adjusting server requirements, probably fixing some bugs and tweaking some balance, deal with some hackers, and more stuff of that nature. After that, I'll reassess and draw up a new roadmap.

I'd like to have a tournament in a couple of months; once everyone has really had a chance to practice, perfect binds, and things of that nature.
