Some of you are probably thinking "Hey, we got cauldrons in the last patch, what's going on?" and you would be right, we did release a patch that gave you access to cauldrons. But, we hadn't added all the other related content to go with it - that's what this patch is. We're really excited for this one because we've added tons of stuff. Check it out!

Patch 0.6 - Bubble bubble, toil and trouble... Now LIVE!
Hello players!
It's a new month and we've brewed up a new content update just for you. We hope you're keen for new features in our gloomy but cosy little crafting game, and can't wait to hear any idea you might have for how we can expand on them. Check them out!
New features:
More beds! Sleeping in better quality beds gives you a well rested status, giving more max light.
Cauldrons added! You can now craft this new bubbling crating station
Potions! Only a few available to craft right now, but they have some cool effects and more will be coming.
New ingredients and crafting recipes to support potions.
Added new plant mechanics - trees, grass and other plants won't always grow in the same spots.
Smaller plants like straw and the newly added plants no longer require an axe to harvest.
Did you hear that? Footstep sounds have been added so you can hear the sound of feet scurry and stomp in the darkness.
Cloud saves added! Many of you will be happy about this one.
New stats and status mechanics implemented with plans for more related features to come.
Bug fixes:
Inventory improvements for crafting benches (furnace, light forge etc.)
Notes:
Loading an old save with items in furnaces may remove all the items in the furnace.

Firstly, another huge thank you to all the players that have reported bugs to us. You help us make the game better and better everyday, and we truly appreciate your feedback. We're so grateful to have such a great player base that lets us know when something isn't working or doesn't feel right.
Below are all the fixes we've implemented since Update 0.5 was released. For those of you that have been in the Discord you may notice that several of these fixes have been released in earlier small patches, but we hadn't yet listed them here and wanted to make sure everyone knew these fixes and improvements had been added in the last couple of weeks.
Bugfixes
Fixed issue with Lambents spawning/despawnign in animal pens
Lambents try so much harder to stay in their animal pen - they will now take being tamed much more seriously
You can now place items in any order in Furnace/Lightium Forge and Mixer
Fixed furnace stations from showing progress bar when there was definitely not enough ingredients - should reduce trust issues in inaminate objects.
Fixed furnace duplicating items during rest - no more freebies
Fixed a bug in Dawns Relic quest, where one of the items spawned early
Doors that NPC's use will no longer make their open sound over the whole outerworld map
Improvements to item bar which should also fix the bug that froze your inventory bar in the past
Fixed NPC spawning - sometimes NPC's got stubborn and didn't want to roam around the world
Fixed many typos

Sound should correctly play when near edges of map
When mouse selecting inventory items on hud all actions you would expect to happen will now happen
Furnace type items now show their name when using them
Animal pathing improved
Added a particle effect in the dark so you can see items - so sparkly!
Shops now fade out things you cannot sell to them, and the amount you can sell for will be on each item you can sell
Inventory button now also closes inventory
Furnace arrow now highlights when when items are valid
Furnace make sound every time an item is crafted

Wow! It's been a while since our last significant update to Lightsmith, but we've been working away to bring new content and improvements to this cosy little crafting game of ours. We didn't mean for it to be this long a wait, and we're really sorry for that, but we hope it's worth it for all the new goodies we've added.

We know you're all keen to find out more about what we have planned for the game, and we want to be as transparent with you about it as we can without giving too much away too soon and ruining some surprises.

As we work toward these and get closer to each milestone release we'll drop some hints about what is to come and finalise expected release dates.

Patrick quest conversation loop - you can now hand in the quest and his dialogue loops correctly
First item in stack quest updates - quests correctly register stacked items you need to craft to complete them
Balance for Lambent feeding - light matter drops much sooner after feeding

Metal bar stack size - metal bars now stack 10 like lightium bars
Fix Lightcore quest - now registers the activation of the lightcore if you activate it before or after the quest section

It doesn't feel like it's only been a month since our last patch, not with all the changes and new content we've added to the game. You'll notice the game has a different look now and we really hope you love it as much as we do!
Features
Changed game art and assets to have color (it looks so good!)
Added tool balancing: lower grade tools will take longer to cut/mine resources
Added options screen in game so you can change audio levels and key/button binds mid play
Added the ability to place furniture on the floor and walls
Changed furniture placement to be more accurate
Furniture placement guide now shows you the size of the item you are about to place
Added Lambents: Little animals that you feed that will produce light matter
Light drain occurs over 15 minutes still, but it now has a curve so it stays brighter for longer
