As announced last week, there is a PC demo in the works and it is due out this week after going through some testing.
Due to the trends in AppStore pricing, the fact that missions 1-3 on iOS and Android versions were free, served as a demo. Based on statistics, it made sense for us to not waste time on a PC demo when the large demographic already owns one of these devices. Especially since the gameplay experience is uniform across all devices. Which is why you can play the game on iOS or Android, then continue your game on the PC. And vice versa.
However, some people have asked for a PC demo. This is primarily due to false reports that the game is a port of the mobile game and so is priced improperly (i.e. too high), has deficiencies (touch vs mouse & keyboard) as a result of the port etc.
None of that is true.
The game is not a port and it is priced appropriately for the amount of work and investment that went into it over the fourteen months from concept to completion.
The game was developed using Unity3D, a very advanced game engine that allows developers to create games for multiple platforms (in our case, PC, OSX, iOS, Android) simultaneously without having to port from one platform (e.g. iOS) to another (e.g. PC).
But nonetheless, we have been working on a demo so that those who are still on the fence - and have not downloaded the game on other devices - can try it for free and make an informed decision.
The demo, like the mobile versions, will have missions 1-3 (the campaign has 16 missions) free and that should give anyone who thinks that a mobile version demo would not suffice for a PC, a chance to make their own judgment.
We aren't planning on making a demo of the OSX version at this time.
Nor do we have any plans for a Linux version of the game.
