German Flood Relief Event

We are following the events in the flooded areas with sadness and deep sympathy and are shocked how many people have lost their lives, their livelihood, or their life's work. Our thoughts are with those affected and their families who are still - after the water slowly recedes - holding out in uncertainty and fighting for their belongings.

We are full of pride and admiration for the service of volunteers, farmers, firefighters, soldiers, police officers, and disaster services who are working day and night in the flooded areas and who are sacrificially working under the most adverse circumstances for the people in need.

We do our part!

Together with our studios Massive Miniteam (Spitlings), Paintbucket Games (Through The Darkest Of Times) and Honig Studios (El Hijo - A Wild West Tale), we started a Steam event - German Flood Relief - where 20% of every purchase will be donated to Aktion Deutschland Hilft.

https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/HandyGames/sale/GermanFloodReliefEvent

Separately, we are donating an additional 30,000 Euros to Aktion Deutschland Hilft! As part of Embracer Group and the THQ Nordic family, it's natural for us to stand united even in hard times, give back, and make the world a better place.

The Steam event includes a total of 37 games and 5 DLCs - among them such hits as El Hijo - A Wild West Tale (Best German Family Game 2021, winner of the Goldener Spatz), Through The Darkest Of Times (multiple winner of the German Computer Game Award (DCP), German Developer Award (DEP) and Indie Award Nominee at Gamescom), Little Big Workshop, Clouds & Sheep 2, Spitlings, Aces of the Luftwaffe Squadrons or the Townsmen series.

Aktion Deutschland Hilft is an alliance of renowned German aid organizations that works together to help people who have lost everything due to major disasters.

If you would like to help beyond German Flood Relief, or if you already have all of our games, you can do so quickly and easily on the site www.aktion-deutschland-hilft.de. The donations go directly to where they are needed.

Thank you and stay safe <3

Every Little Big Workshop is a "Labor of Love" on its own

Every Workshop Is a Literal Labor of Love

Thanks to the community's passion for Little Big Workshop, we were able to keep updating the game with a unique DLC, patches, optimization and seasonal themes. This love, paired with the little workers' enthusiasm for their labor, is what made us partake in the Steam Awards. Now you can nominate Little Big Workshop for the 2020 "Labor of Love" award.

Eco-Sim Made Fun for Good & Evil

In the new, aptly named "Evil DLC", the infamous Bladh is looking for a malicious apprentice and he's got his eyes on you! Are you ready to rid yourself of all virtues and dive into the wonderfully corrupt world of corporate greed? Then get ready to fight for market superiority with no holds barred. Sabotage the competition, take them over when they're vulnerable, and make them work for you.

The base game, however, struck a much more amiable tone. Starting out with just a small workshop, you quickly expanded to a desk-filling factory. Unlocking ever fancier machines, adding even more production methods, and most of all, more room. Soon enough, you were running multiple production lines, producing hundreds of advanced products each day, and watching with joy as your cute workers did the actual work.

Patch v. 2.0.14042

Hey there, desktop tycoons!

We're happy to release the next Evil DLC update. It comes with a whole bunch of tweaks and fixes concerning UI, localization, gameplay, design, art, and technical issues. You can find the entire list of changes below.
Thank you all so much for your feedback! We're listening and as always are working towards making Little Big Workshop the best experience it can be.

If you're looking for some guidance or are struggling with the DLC's difficulty, make sure to tune in to twitch.tv/handygames_official on Tuesday, November 17th, where we will be showing some general insight into the new mechanics and challenges for new players as well as experienced workshop veterans. Don't worry if you can't make it, though! We will make the VOD available for you to check out anytime you like.

Thanks for playing Little Big Workshop <3

The Evil DLC v.2.0.14042

UI, text and Language
  • Added back and close buttons in the sabotage browser
  • Changed how opponent activity is visualized in the market graph
  • Fixed a couple of situations where two tooltips were overlapping
  • The cash reward for contracts from Bladh are now presented
  • We noticed that it was somewhat confusing how players only advance to the next tier if they have reached the goal at the point of each market update. We therefore added a clock, counting down to the next market update, which is shown next to the threshold bar in the opponent UI
  • A good amount of minor layout and visibility improvements and polish
  • A few translation fixes and malfunctioning strings

Gameplay/Gamedesign
  • Fixed wrong lock on Stool product
  • Updated a couple of help section articles with new images
  • Removed some redundant help-section articles that only apply to the base game and not when the dlc is played, and vice versa.
  • Bladh requests now reward player with the correct amount of experience
  • Opponents are now even more aggressive when it comes to the amount and types of products that they choose to compete for on the market

Art
  • Forbid a number of products from being placed on shelves
  • Added more types of heads for the “Evil” Hauler model
  • Fixed a faulty frame in one of Bladh’s video calls
  • Fixed an issue with the light bake in the base game main menu
  • Touched up Bladh's castle, seen in one of the videos

Technical
  • Changes to the triggers associated with the hints and phone calls during the start of the DLC
  • Fixed an issue causing Bladh introduction challenge not to save properly
  • Aligned market offer competition data points with other data points in the same graph
  • Made it so keybinds alter depending on running dlc or base, specifically binds for milestones / competitors / clients vs opponents.
  • Fixed loading issue while doing the sabotage step of the introduction
  • The monitor screen flicker has been improved and should be less intensive. The effect should also remain the same over time and not freak out as it did before
  • Fixed an issue with hints not being shown on load after the second trigger to unlock sabotage feature
  • Lowered Synth volumes
  • Improved how sabotage products that are left behind are handled
  • A bugfix relating to a falsely claimed product/carryable
  • Added a load recovery for machine queues where entries have mysteriously ended up with a negative amount value
  • Fixed an issue where opponents would take over the market immediately
  • Fixed shader issues with terrain foliage
  • Fixed issue where opponents with lower marketing and sales value would produce too much on the market
  • Fixed sabotage products that were not delivered as part of their intended sabotage showing up in the UI again
  • Machines now use dlc appropriate material for icons
  • Fixed a bug where factories created in the current play session would not count as evil
