Version 0.941 is now live, with all of the new changes to the social system. Old save games unfortunately won't work - you'll need to start a new game with this patch.
Changes:
New social system for interacting with NPCs
NPCs that you meet are now visible on the map, and have their own schedule, job, social events, etc
Organise social events with multiple NPCs (eg. can organise a house party with 6 people)
Choose from a set of "cards" to select your social responses
Collect cards during gameplay for special responses (eg. "Good news" card when you get a promotion, "Scandal" card when you read a tabloid/newspaper)
Start dating, get married, make your significant other jealous, make enemies!
NPCs also organise events (sometimes without you)
NPCs have randomized traits and interests
NPCs have various desired items (can gift desired items to them to increase relationship)
Various improvements to the UI
Tooltip popups for every item/building/character in the game

Version 0.901 is now live. It includes a complete overhaul of the career system, with 9 distinct career paths to choose from. Old save games unfortunately won't work - you'll need to start a new game with this patch.
Changes:
Added 9 career paths, each with 9 ranks (Technology, Science, Politics, Music, Crime, Healthcare, Hospitality, Law Enforcement, Sales)
Added multiple job-specific missions per career
Added multiple skills, each with 6 ranks to level up
Added hobby shop, which sells items to improve your skills (chessboard, weight bench, etc)
Added bookshop, which sells books to improve your skills
Added various new buildings to support the new careers
Added blue indicator in clock to show when your work shift starts/ends

Version 0.88 is now live. It includes full character customization and a new clothing system. Old save-games should work... but no guarantees, as this was a fairly big change!
Now that these changes are finally in, the next update will focus on improving the career system.

Patch 0.87 is now live, and primarily introduces an auto-driving mode. You can press spacebar to toggle between the "normal" driving and a top-down view where you can click on buildings to navigate to them.
