I initially streamed this on Twitch, but due to my OBS settings this ended up REALLY pixellated. I was incredibly unhappy and ashamed with this, so here's a 'proper' video. There's still some slight pixellation, but the quality is much better.
#logdriverunner is honestly not as bad as some people might make it out to be. It's the debut title from Proud Camel Games, a Norwegian company, and basically is an endless runner where you run along the log flume.
Still, I must admit that I thought it should have been priced cheaper considering what it is. It appears like you're running along the exact same level every single time you play. Which makes me wonder - is there ever a proper end? Would it have been worth the higher price if they managed to implement procedural level generation? I'd definitely feel yes.
ADDENDUM: it's been clarified that after 600 meters the obstacles are procedurally generated.
Unfortunately, I think the menus and UI are REALLY lacking and look really simplistic/unprofessional. They really need to work on making them, as well as the store page images, more professional, or it would just drive away potential customers.
I like the music though, it's quite relaxing. Maybe too relaxing even.
Start new game: press spacebar (undocumented keyboard shortcut)
If you play with the keyboard, there is an undocumentet shortcut to start a new game after crashing, just hit spacebar :)
If the game lags, change the graphics settings
Most modern graphics cards will run this game in the default setting and higher, without lagging, however, if you find that the game lags, your graphics card is not fast enough for the default graphics settings.
The default graphics settings is '4', if the game lags we recommend using a lower graphics setting.
You can get into the graphics menu, from Options, and More.
