This month we bring a new progress report about the current state of Long Gone Days.
We’re still working on the final chapter, which will be coming out before the year ends, finishing the last maps and cutscenes of the game. There isn’t much we can reveal without spoiling the experience, BUT we can show you some some new screenshots without too much context for you to speculate~
We also wanted to tell you that Long Gone Days is part of the official selection of The Yogscast’s Tiny Teams 2021 event, where several indie games made by 3 people or less are being featured! And to celebrate the occasion, the game is currently 25% off until August 14th.
Before we go, we don't want to pass up the opportunity to thank you all for your patience. We know it's been a long wait, and we couldn't do this without your support. Especially to our Discord community who cheer us up with their fanarts, memes and theories!

It’s time for a new progress report! These last couple of months we’ve been working on the very last dungeon of the game and some sidequests for chapter 4.
We've been asked a couple of times if there are going to be significant changes to the game. The plot will remain exactly the same, but if you replay it, the most noticeable changes will be that the UI has been completely revamped:
In addition to this, we have added a wider range of facial expressions to some of the portraits, and most importantly, the soundtrack will be updated with original music composed by Sebastian Marin. Here are two of the new tracks:

Another thing we’ve been asked a couple of times is whether or not we’ll be adding Steam Achievements, and yes, it’s always been in our plans to add them on the full release version.
Will I have to buy the game again after it exits Early Access? Nope! You won’t have to pay again or anything extra. On that day, your game will get updated automatically on Steam.

We hope everyone’s been staying safe! It’s been a couple of months since our last update so it’s time for a new progress report.
We’ve continued to work hard on Long Gone Days, and development is going great! The chapter we’re working on (Chapter 4) is the last one of the game, and it’s about as long as Chapter 1. It also has two different endings, which are directly linked to several choices you made through your journey.
Besides that, this chapter has many cinematics and intense moments that require more animations and illustrations than the previous chapters, so while it’s looking better than ever, it has also taken us a bit longer than we thought. Rest assured we’re working on it every day and everything’s been going smoothly!
On top of that, we’ve also been working on a completely new original soundtrack, by Sebastian Marin who composed the theme we used in our latest trailer. We’ve been looking forward to work with him since 2016, so we’re thrilled!
When will chapter 4 come out? We don’t have a set date yet, and trust us, we can’t wait to announce it, but we want to make sure the game will be ready by then, and we want it to be as good as possible instead of rushing things to meet a deadline.
As you might be aware, our plan is to release Chapter 4 and exit Early Access at the same time, so besides all the new content, we’re making sure to finish plenty of stuff that has been on our backlog for some time.
So, in short, as soon as we’ve got a date, we’ll spam it on every social media, so you’ll definitely find out!

It’s been a long time since our last update, so we want to keep you all in the loop. These past months we’ve been working hard on the last chapter of Long Gone Days, as this is the chapter that contains some of the most important dialogues and scenes in the whole story.
If you follow us on Twitter, you’ve probably seen some new faces around, so we want to use this post to introduce them briefly.
This is Hanna. She shows up just after the party arrives in Warsaw, and upon seeing them in trouble, she offers to help them out as a Polish interpreter.
These two are Sylwia and Piotr. Following the unfortunate situation their country is going through, this couple decided to take matters into their own hands, offering shelter in their own home to those most at risk.
That's all for today’s update! We’ve also been sharing more official art and fanarts over at Twitter, as well as some in-depth discussions on our official Discord server, so don’t forget to join us for more frequent updates!
Cheers, LGD Team
Last Progress Report of 2019
Hi everyone! The year is coming to an end and we thought it would be a good idea to share some of the things we've been working on.
Since we are working on the final chapter of Long Gone Days, we'll be careful not to give away too many details that could spoil the plot ːlgdThinkː
Here are some new characters/NPCs:
Through the years we've gotten some questions regarding fullbody references of the main cast, so we recently updated this lineup to include every party member:
We have also shared lots of fanarts and some illustrations of the main cast on Twitter, you can check them out here.
Regarding our schedule, we know the most asked question is when will chapter 4 come out, and while we can't tell a specific date yet, we can confidently say that it will be released in 2020.
The main reason why we've taken longer than usual has to do with the crisis that Chile is experiencing these days (today marks 65 days since it started), and considering that we are writing a game that involves many of the things that we are experiencing today in our own flesh, it has affected us a bit. On the other hand, we have also dedicated some of our time to support the social movement (Camila released this free short game inspired by the low wages and high living costs in Chile: https://laburatory.itch.io/nanopesos for example). Fortunately, we're back on track!
That's all we have to say for now. We wish you all happy holidays and a wonderful New Year ♥!
As always, remember you can join our Discord, or follow us on Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook for more frequent updates!
