Our latest release - design your own character and play a male student at a wizarding school. Make friends, learn spells, solve puzzles, and try to get a date for the final Ball. Stat-raising + Romance + Dungeon-Crawling.
Now that the second Magical Diary game is released, we are finally discussing concepts for a second Long Live The Queen title. THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUNCEMENT. There will probably be at least one smaller project that comes out first (after all, Wolf Hall is a HUGE game that took forever to write, I need to relax). But ideas are out there!
We are also planning to have the next game in the Magical Diary series out on Steam in early 2020. Magical Diary: Wolf Hall will feature a design-your-own male protagonist, even more dungeon crawling, more than 75 magic spells, and twelve possible characters to pursue (both male and female).
Magical Diary: Wolf Hall kickstarter - Ending Soon
If you're interested in other Hanako Games titles, we are currently running a kickstarter for the next game in the Magical Diary series, the wizarding school with romance and dungeon-crawling.
So far there are five main character routes, four side character routes, and at least one bonus route to be voted on by backers. We're JUST under the $30K stretch goal mark, which will add a second votable option.
The kickstarter has just over two days left to go, so if you're interested in joining the beta, now is the time to jump on board!
(Will this pave the way for another Long Live The Queen game? Only time will tell, but we've got to finish this one first! :we_are_your_children:)
Happy Holidays from Hanako Games!
We hope you've been having a good year and are looking forward to the future!
Otherwise, stay tuned for new game development announcements in 2019!

Technical update (February 2017) Mac Sierra support + Bundles
We've pushed out a version of the game built against a newer engine for Mac users. This should solve problems people were having with no sound on the latest MacOS. As it is a large change, please report any issues you encounter on the forum thread here:
Currently, the new engine is only available for Windows/Linux users who opt into the beta. Feel free to check it out with the instructions above and let us know how it works for you.
We have also recently released a Hanako Games Collection bundle, where you can buy all the products published by Hanako Games at a discount. So, if you haven't already, check out some of our other titles:
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/2671/
We've put out a small bugfix update, which should not affect anything noticeable for most users. For full details and to report any errors see this forum topic: http://steamcommunity.com/app/251990/discussions/0/492378806381610285/
Stability update (October 2015) - El Capitan support
We've pushed out a small update to address a number of minor technical problems and get the game working properly on new Mac OSes. For full details and to report problems, see the forum thread here:
We've released another patch, mostly a range of small fixes including some that may help people playing translated versions and people who were having framerate problems recording videos.
There is also a tiny amount of new content, but this is almost entirely feature improvements.
The latest plot update for the game, complete with new story options, features, character portraits, marriages, and ways to completely ruin your country is now available.
There are also 6 new achievements to find, which will remove some people's 100% status but hopefully only temporarily.
If you want full spoiler-heavy details of everything that's been added, visit the discussion forums and read through the (long) beta thread. Otherwise, dive in and see what you can find!
